Well I used to think the  little town I grew up in ( pop . 2500) was great until I left ! 

Thansk jacko , thats what I have at the moment only it costs me 300 per month or 3600 pa . 

Been advised by Sophon , unofficially , I can buy a set top box (?) and subscribe for 150 baht not the 300 baht I pay for now ? Is this correct and how much do they cost ?

Thanks Jack dd  I should have mentioned that I do have a retirement visa . 
I also got the old blue book from the expat seller but have been told by others and also at Pattaya City Office , North Road that I would need to get a yellow book. I would prefer to avoid this if possible. 

Well I get  "0"  interest for my 900 k at Bangkok Bank for a year  .

A few years ago I  got a  brand  new blue book for my  old condo  ,  from the main council office at  North  Pattaya  Rd in about 5 minutes and at a cost of 50 baht .

I have now bought  another old condo  but this time  the  Pattaya  council  office now  wants me to get a yellow book  instead  , which is more complicated and expensive .

Can someone tell me if things have now changed and the blue book  has been replaced  by the yellow book

for expats ?

Seems she won't have much time for shopping in Paris  !

Homeless people near me in Jomtien  have been twice evicted from shacks to make way for " five star '  condo projects . 

Both condo projects failed but the (still) homeless people  seem to be doing fine .

Is there some kind of Asian  karma working here ?

What happened to the usual   and trusted move  to an   " inacrtive post  '  ?.

There were many classic cars for sale  in Bangkok in an area   called Smartcar Plaza , including a lovely  blue Marcos which belonged to the owner of one of the garages  ( 1990 era ? )

Last time I went , it  looked like this entire  Rama 9 area was about to be transformed into a mini city . Do these garages still exist?
