  1. This is a confusing o/p ? Is it about UKTV for Android, Opera or TOT S-package and how to add TOT channels to favorites (which is nothing to do with UKTV or Opera!).

If the latter, I haven't a clue either. and gave up - so not much help sorry. I just have the free TOT package and rarely watch it.

Its a 2 part post (can see how that could be confusing !),first part just giving the heads up

to anyone that did not know you could install and run,UKTV on the TOT box,and how i done

    it, OK

second part, asking if anyone could advise me how to arrange the channels (on same TOT box)

to favorites,so I don't have to go wading through the whole list of channels, now do you understand.

  2. I have Opera browser installed ,went to UKTV-Asia web site downloaded the

apk file for the Android tablet, with Opera ,clicked install, and its up and running

free till end December, its in Beta at moment but seems to be working fine.

Just adds a few more channels to the little box.

Can anyone explain how I add channels to favorites,so I can create a list of

channels I want to watch without having to wade through the whole list,in the

book its says it can be done ,but does not tell you how. I have the S package

reasonable price and has all i want to watch, other packages lot more expensive

but do not add much more.

  3. Yes you can find a decent house easily for that price, check out notice

board at most Rimpings, or just drive around ,find area you like and

I can guarantee you will find house within that range, in fact have a

friend who has one for rent 10k pm 4 beds 2baths 3acs, good area

10 mins Meechoke plaza,Tesco/Lotus,and new Central Festival mall,

its off 2nd ring road so easy access to all of Chaing Mai, 1 year lease.

Now about volunteer work ,I am sure you need work permit to do that legally

  4. No problem at all ,in fact very pleased with Thai postal service, for

the last few months I have received quite a few parcels from my

daughter in UK, arrived from 5-10 days after posted, also parcels

    from H.K. Singapore,no problem.

It might be that birthday cards are easily recognizable by the

envelope ,and it is known birthday cards can contain money,

10 quid from granny for nephew,,so really those envelopes

will be targeted,if you don't receive at all most likely gone

missing in your home country, if its been tampered with and

money missing most likely to have happen here, have had a few

of those from abroad and while posting money inside Thailand,

to the wifes mother, she always got the letters but money gone.

Just my theory, based on what has happened to me,but sure

someone will come along and say it does not happen like that.

    this been TV Chiang Mai

  5. How many of these emergency hospital visits by Farangs cited by the Government,

are caused by Thais,i.e. Bus crashes,Train accidents, boats sinking, low hanging awnings,

electric wires hanging everywhere, muggings, robberies, food poisoning, and a myriad of

other things that can happen to you here,Thailand is a dangerous for the average tourist

So the Government should pay as part of doing business, keep the tourists happy, and

improve some of those things so less tourists get hurt.

  6. The wife and I went today and I for one, was impressed. I also went to the opening of Promenade and was equally unimpressed. Central Festival seems to have done a good job of making sure most was ready for the public. The Central Food Hall is very nice with a GREAT selection of fresh bread. They have a broad selection of items that will appeal to many falang with a price for the selection. Butter that I buy at Makro for 85 baht is 105 baht. I will not go here for my monthly grocery shopping, but there are some items not to be had eleswhere.

The only other store I went into was the Japanese dollar store, even though most items were much more than a dollar. That said, I liked this store for their good selection of things that I could actually use.

All in all, good job done Central Festival, best of luck for a good future.

If you go to Yoke bakery supplies you can buy butter in 400 grm blocks for bht 75 ,salted ,unsalted,

so its twice as much for less than half the price, thats for Orchid, they also have Allowari ?,butter keeps

well in the fridge, for a year in freezer.

  7. Maybe the Government would not mind been dissolved,as it would

give them their only way out of this mess they have gotten the

country in ,trying to ram the amnesty through solely for the benefit

of the great leader, HUGE loses on rice, and other policies that are

tearing the country apart, have new election and win it ,blame the

whole mess on the former Government, and start the same cycle

    once again.

    regards Worgeordie
