Free health treatment at Government Hospitals, but they have
now stopped this on newer issued books,I was not bothered
about getting one,but the wife pushed me into getting one,
now I am very pleased I did,get to see Doctor every month
and free tablets for Diabetes, blood pressure,I could not
believe it was possible, but have been doing this for the
last year,I was some law that Taskin brought out when he
was PM, and i am very grateful he did.
I don't know how long they can go on doing this as money
must be tight will the huge piles of rice they have and all
the other money that the Government "looses" we will
see.

Try Aliexpress,a division of Alibaba, your payment goes into escrow account
until your product is delivered, also dx.com have bought stuff off them no
problem, both Chinese co. if you get delivery by EMS (can track), most
likely the parcel will get through without Taxes ect, delivered to your door.
Most of the alarm systems are made in China anyway,so just go to the source
for a wide choice and save some money.and they are easy to install yourself.

In the past I have complained a lot about TOT nearly unusable after
say 5 when the kids get in from school, and on weekends, disconnecting
when it rained, I was seriously thinking of changing to 3BBB.
Then in last 2/3 weeks it has been working quite good, never disconnected
when we have had big rain storms, streaming movies etc,no problem, even
at night,I don't know what happened, but quite pleased with TOT at the moment.

I thought this was going to be about the Airlines and there pricing policies, fine print,
and other ways to scam the flying public, I thought there would be laws on the books
already to cover what they want to enforce at the airports.

The illegal products are everywhere, even in large Malls, crack down on it and
there are going to be 10s of 1000s without work, what then ?
It will be one of those couple of weeks, crack down with photo opportunities,
that will soon be forgotten, then back to normality .

To get out of this mess the Government is going to have to dissolve, and come
back with the same faces but different name for the party, then they can say it
was not us that caused this mountain of a problem, but the previous Government.
Cannot see another way out for them, because they are never going to say we
made a huge mistake and lost the Country billions of Bht,that could have been
spent on more positive things, like Schools,Hospitals, Transport system,or even
just helping the very poor people, not necessarily farmers, but instead they have
this huge mountain of rice, which is costing a fortune everyday just to store, and
also has a shelf life.

Disputes like this can only escalate into where one of the other
ends in the morgue and the other in prison, there is no easy
solution to this problem,as the bus owner is doing nothing wrong
when he parks at the legally posted times,at other times yes he
is parking illegally, I cannot see the police taking any interest in
solving your problem ,unless they have an incentive, then maybe.
Good Luck regards Worgeordie

Even if you had of stayed the full 12 months, you would have been
very lucky to get the deposit back, they dont like repaying deposits
regards Worgeordie
Complete bullsh**. All my landlords have paid back the deposits in full. Everyone else I know has also had their deposits back in full. There was a survey about getting deposits back on ThaiVisa a while ago, and I think about 95% got it back in full and the rest with minor deductions that were fair.
You have no idea what you're talking about and should quit your racist remarks.
So pointing out what I believe to be true, from what I know about tenants getting their deposits returned,I have been married
to a Thai lady for 26 years, have lots of Thai friends, and don't have a racist bone in my body, and also been in the Property
business,Development,Renting, and selling, I think I know what I am talking about, and I never said all Thai landlords do not
repay the deposits, what I said, if you could take your head out of your arse ,and read it ,was they DON'T LIKE repaying.not
that they don t,
Have a nice day, regards Worgeordie

If you signed a 12 months contract and are wanting to leave after
only 3/4 months, there is no way you are going to get your deposit
returned, simply you, did not stick to the contract.
You would also be on here complaining if the landlord wanted you
to leave 4 months into a 12 month contract,if you wanted to stay.
The landlord most likely paid 1 months rent to letting agent as
commission,so she has to suffer that loss.
Even if you had of stayed the full 12 months, you would have been
very lucky to get the deposit back, they dont like repaying deposits

I also have the TOT 10Mbs service, and just the opposite has happened, its streaming great, even in the evening,
when before after 5 it would just buffer all the time, also when it rained it would disconnect, but that does not happen
now, I was even planning on changing over to 3BB ,it was that bad, but for last 2/3 weeks its been great,I dont
know what changed, but I am now happy with TOT, Problem is I am sure it wont last !

Look at the Mae Jo Road, but not too far along, its a good area
with plenty of amenities, Banks ,Shops, Markets,Supermarkets,
and the new Central Festival Mall will be opening and will only
be 10/15 mins away, so no need to venture into town ,everything
is here for your daily needs.
But as you have a dog don't move next to me !(joking )

Would love to see a photo of the said fire trucks, they should
be in a very sad state ,sitting on the docks for 10 years,so
maybe another chance for corruption reconditioning them
or maybe they will just be scrapped, there is so much waste
of Government projects and no one is held responsible,
Samak who singed the contract in the last hours of his term
as Governor of Bangkok, is dead and others are taking the
heat for sticking to the terms of said contract.

The kind of birds I am looking for I have never seen for sale,
like Marans,RIR, the only kind available will be hybrids.
As for snakes, yes they can be a problem,so make sure that
the housing in 100% secure,we lost a nearly full size Goose
to a Python.
Would also like to have some Bantams, like I had in UK,
OEG and Modern game.
Best to ask at shops that sell feed,if you want some chicks.

I don't have any A/c at our house, personally I don't like it, been British I was never used to A/cs until
I started traveling, Americans on the other hand do not seem able to live without it, been brought up
with it I suppose.
All we do is leave as many windows open as possible, sleep with open windows, around the house we have
lots of trees and plants ,also a few small ponds, all that keeps the house at a livable temperature 99%
of the time, couple of weeks maximum do we wish it was a bit cooler, but no real problem.
We just use fans, ceiling and floor fans, just put one on in the room we are in, good enough, we also
have solar water heater for the hot water.
Good luck with your venture, first thing to do is plant trees they will save you money in the long term.

i never said that I had a pedigree I simply explained why I didn't know how to cook a steak
well I've always had personal assistants, wives, and maids to look after me. here nobody knows how to cook stuff like thatCripes maybe my "show off" radar is broken or something.
Is OP a show off? What do TV readers think?
Wouldn't a less showy person just have PM'd JChef or maybe googled how to cook a steak? For that matter how many grown ups don't know how to cook a steak? Maybe he is recently reformed life long Vegan.
A mouth watering picture would have made the thread a bit more interesting anyway.
Your good breeding is duly noted.
Who ties your shoe laces for you? you must have led a very sheltered life if you don't know how to cook a steak, and if your not sure of anything, Google is your servant
personally,I would not have posted on an open forum that i had spent 2K bht on a piece of meat, its in bad taste, the post, not the meat ! sure its your money and you can
do whatever you want with it,BUT.

my god was that good. ate half wish button mushrooms and baked potatoes. yuabi (sp) steak Australian grain fed. gosh it really was superb. in the dates I had a small farm (80) acres and raised organic beef Hereford and this was as good. took your advice pan cooked rare center. rim ping promenadaA hot pan is one good way to cook a steak. For good quality meat just season with salt and pepper is all that should be necessary. Getting the correct temperature (doneness) can be the tricky part but things continue to cook once off the heat source so better to take off a bit early and let rest so the juices can settle down and not run out before cutting. One can also cook more or add seasoning (but not the opposite).
What kind of steak is it and where did you buy it?
Interesting reading your post....... sounds great for the beef, but care to tell us what and how much there was to drink ???
..... also tell us if you would, what was the weight of this 2000 B steak ???
2000 bht for 1/2 a kilo,!, it should have tasted like ambrosia , but it will still be S&%t ,tomorrow !

Its just whats happening to many of the Worlds governments, they want the general population to say
nowt, don't even dare to think, they want us living in fear,so they can control us,it been going on for
years, now its getting worse, they monitor our phone calls, emails, follow you on the street with the CCTV
cameras, next step will be implants I am sure.
When George Orwell wrote 1984 it was seen as fantasy, would never happen, how true he was,and it
will only get worse under the guise of threats from the Muslim world, they have taken over from Communism
as the way to pass laws, tell lies (whoppers) WMD and it lets Governments do anything they want.
