  1. Hi, The two biggest electricity users at my home are the swimming pool pump and the Koi pond pump Would it be possible and practical to remove these from the grid and power them by solar and batteries? I don’t know the actual power consumption of these pumps but the pool pump runs for several hours during the day and the Koi pond pump runs pretty much 24/7 thanks in advance
  2. I was able to purchase a bottle of Ardbeg from Wishbeer a couple of years ago - they have an app and deliver
  3. Unfortunately the best place I knew for Peking Duck has closed (unless anyone knows of a new location for it) It used to be The Fujian Restaurant at Dhara Dhevi and then moved to Gad Falang under a new name and unfortunately has since closed You had to pre-order the duck as Farang style but then they would know to serve the duck at the table and slice the skin up and carve the meat to be rolled into pancakes Sadly every other Chinese restaurant we’ve tried just serves the skin at the table and the meat is then prepped into another dish served separately even after phoning before hand and explaining how we want the duck served - it makes me think that the skin and meat are supplied / prepared separately
  4. @007 RED - thanks for the detailed reply, it really helps ???? That is the same material that I’m looking at using - it seems like replacing the lights is a good idea, I’ll see f I an get my missus to find out who our local SCB bod is i may keep the E27 bulbs in the bathroom - currently they are smart bulbs linked to a motion sensor so that come on automatically at a low brightness during the night. The bathroom doesn’t have air on and has ventilation to the outside so hopefully the additional reduction in thermal efficiency won’t cause too much of an issue
  5. I am looking at installing insulation in the space above my upstairs ceiling Currently I have e27 lightbulbs installed and the housing protrudes into the ceiling space Im guessing that laying insulation over the top of the light housing is a bad idea but can I lay it around the fittings or do I need to change to a ‘flatter’ light fitting? Thanks in advance
