I assume you guys are expats and not using travel insurance as 155cc bikes won't be covered unless you've specifically checked.
Not an expat but a frequent traveler and my travel insurance does not have any limitations regards driving motorbikes of all sizes. Different countries, different rules man....

Where did you get a 5 year licence without doing the colour, reaction and perception tests, as well as sitting through a 45 minute video?
Would be interesting to know this. So what DLT @worrab ?

YES, once your name printed on the blue book, the car is your own, this is the answer,
to make this as confirmed to you, I owned and sold 3 cars in bangkok, always my name on the blue book, and YES again!
hope this helped and makes it clear to your concerned point.
Are the names normally printed in English?

I don't understand why neither of the linked articles have any mention of where in BKK his hotel is. BKK is huge. If they said Sukhumvit for example, at least the people who live around Sukhumvit might be more inclined to keep an eye open.
Looks like Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park in soi 22.....

I opted for the 39L top box and bracket, 13000+baht but it will be a two month wait.
Way overpriced! No need to order this from the dealer... I got my Shad SH40 Cargo in Bangkok for 4000 THB.

Sorry, but wrong again. 64,000 for standard model and 67,000 for R model.
This is Thaivisa, not Cambodiavisa.
Official prices found here on the Thai Yamaha website, scroll to the bottom...

Yes you will get a 5 year licence if you have a non immigrant visa. The DLT is not that big, go to the main entrance to the information desk at the door. State your your business and they will check your documents and give you the right application papers.
Be early or come just after their lunch break

I have a 2 year "temporary" licence which expires in June 2018. I want/need to apply for the 5 year. So instead of 4. in your "you need" list, I will show them my current Thai temporary driver's licence?
Do I need to go through the "test" again?
Also, can you advise which building (number 5?) at the DLT in Bangkok? I found it eventually last time, but it was not easy, or obvious. And which counter/floor within that building.
Any advices from those who have recently experienced this procedure in Bangkok gratefully received.
Yes, and you need to do the color, brake test and so on...
Depend on where you live in Bangkok, but I prefer DLT at Bang Chak(Sukumvit) -

I have listened multiple times and would go as far to say she is not Australian, however the guy in the black baseball cap trying to negotiate the bill down to 2800, seems to have an Australian accent.Irrespective she is a F-wit.
LOL, we are several Norwegians that have replied in this thread already. We hear where they are from....

Yes they are Norwegians, I guess they have been sitting at the beach all day and maybe enjoying too much thai beer. Then having a meal at Fuji on their way back to the hotel and a quarrel about the bill broke out.
I heard the one guy said he paid 2800 Baht, but the bill was 3200 Baht? Or did Fuji add 400 Baht?

Another question about the Honda Rebel.
What percent discount can you get on a new Honda motorbike at a Honda shop?
I would like to buy the standard Rebel 300 that I believe RRP is 145,000 bt or Rebel 500 that I believe RRP is 220,000 bt
I don't need all the free stuff like helmets and promotional t shirts and jackets etc.
Wait until the International motorshow in march/april 18, there might be some possibilities then... -

The bike sits low enough to accommodate some of us "shorter" people. See no reason why a girl would have any problem with it.
I now have just over 30,000 Km on it. Needed a new chain at 25,000 Km. I had the sprockets changed at the same time.
Still very happy with the bike and the ride.
What kind og maintenance did you do on your chain? Regular oiling, did you clean it sometimes? -

Yes this is 100% true, between the age of 15-18 they can only drive a motorcycle with maximum 110 cc!

Has anybody in here tuned their Isuzu 1,9 Blue Power engine?

If you are on FB I would recommend this group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/CRF250L.owners.club/ and check the files section in the group. Loads of good information there.

Exactly!!
Honda, keeping it's cards close to its chest, plans to unveil its 2018 PCX 150 at the Tokyo Auto Show later this month!
If the new PCX 150 has ABS and dual disc brakes ........
Hopefully, an updated Forza 300 will be unveiled there also!!

I think that PayPal seems like the way to go.
Do I have to go into the bank to set up a PayPal account linked
to my debit card.Does everybody in Thailand accept PayPal.
I still haven't had time to look into Transferwise.
No, not every online shop has PayPal....
You link your PayPal to your bank account from your PP account. The bank has nothing to do with your PP...
