  1. Yesterday I saw two farang kids, no older than about 13 or so, on a bike zooming up soi 4 on PH. What kind of idiot parent let's two kids ride around on a bike, no helmets, shorts and wearing no tops? In Thailand? But of course, when they get mashed up in an accident, it will everyone else's fault.
  2. For those interested...... The tool in the car was a 56 year old Sri Lankan who has fled the country and left some bird to deal with it. And yes, the Bentley was a rental. Making him an even bigger <deleted>..... It's all here: https://thepattayanews.com/2024/01/25/update-thai-woman-unveiled-as-real-owner-of-lion-cub-in-pattaya-now-facing-legal-charges/
  3. This complete and utter fcking tool has been riding down soi 5 (Pratumnak Hill) the last week or so and yes, he really is as big a wan#er as you would imagine. Because all the girls with brains of children come running out the bars whooping with glee, this deluded cheese sandwich thinks it's cool too. What a bell end..... Also, apparently, he has a fully grown lion in his home too. Hopefully, it will eat him one day.....just saying....
  4. Just so you know, that IS NOT the Cobra Bar on Pratumnak Hill, most definitely not owned by a Brit called Michael.
  5. I mean that is annoying, right? And we get this several times through the day/ night. 20230820_025932.mp4
  6. Hi I found this topic after Googling problem soi dogs. Quite an amusing thread (in UK, a "couple" is definitely two, and only two....????). Anyway, I live in Pratumnak Hill, top soi 4, Sombat condos. Opposite is a 7-11 (what else?!) on a little junction with a food stall. If you live here, you'll know where I mean. I don't mind soi dogs as long as they don't disturb me. But, we now have about 5 or 6, plus a couple that belong to this food seller (his house is also on the corner), and many times throughout the day and night, 24/7, they are having yowling and barking sessions.... its getting <deleted> ridiculous. And of course, the Thai numpty just stands there looking at them. It normally kicks off - I think - between his dogs and soi dogs. But whatever..... can I just shoot them all in the head? ???????? Seriously though. I'll video the next session.....my balcony looks right over the action. They are really starting to get on my nerves and I'm guessing, lots of other people too. Some people just don't like the sound of dogs barking anyway, and I'm one of them. I'm gonna start a movement!!! LOL! Any ideas?
  7. Jeez, what's up with some of the people on this forum? Are some of you really that bored, you have nothing better to do than post pointless replies? Get a <deleted> life......yeah, I said it....???????????????????? And no, nothing wrong with the "story" about guy in cannabis cafe..... him and his brother just unofficially help out there to bring the customers in. Not that that has any relevance to anything, but whatever...
  8. The 3,900 one is called Translation Center....I think? That's on the sign on wall anyway. It's on the second connecting soi between Soi 4 and 5, coming from the top end down towards the beach, Pratumnak Hill. Next door to a very popular Thai restaurant.
  9. That's exactly what I said! But nope, he reckons it includes it.....mad eh? So I popped down to see him last night (young Russian chap - one of the nice ones!) but he wasn't working.....he runs a cannabis cafe. I mean who knows, maybe he's been smoking too much of his own product (I don't smoke btw), but I'll know for sure very soon and will let you guys know. Also later I'll let you know the company I used for 3,900. That's if I'm allowed to post businesses and their services here.....? ????????
  10. Just checked my Google Maps Timeline (that is quite a cool fixture) and the border was Ban Pakkad. I was impressed, even the Thai immigration cop I had was pleasant. Loads of help people running around...... Just so you know! ????????
  11. Hi all.... Quick update for those interested. Bus picked me up from my condo. Everyone pleasant and more importantly, quiet. Got to border about 9.15am. Immigration both sides really friendly, lots of little helpers running around. Apart from queuing which was a bit of a ball ache, plus a dinner on way home....all went smooth. Got back about 3pm. DEFINITELY the way to go for me...... 3900 baht, but of course, bumped into someone I know last night, who can get exactly the same service for 2,600 baht!! It's also out there at 5,500 baht. I hate shopping around, but seriously, these Visa services vary wildly in prices. Cheers all! ????????
  12. That is my long term plan..... honest! I'm over 50 so Retirement Visa. Cheers.... ????????
  13. Yeah, I did see that, but couldn't be arsed to get into.... like a lot of these replies!! ????????????????
  14. Ah sure thing, will do. I have no idea of name, but I will find out and post. I can say it's on Pratumnak Hill, on the second connecting soi (Alley 3) between Soi 4 and 5 coming down from the top end. If you know PH, you'll know what I'm on about! Google Maps doesn't have the name, I did check!????????
  15. For those that read my post and replied appropriately, many thanks....???? I totally admit to breaking that cardinal rule of remembering that sorting out things in Thailand is always a ball ache and should be done waaaay in advance, so I've taken the easy, but expensive(ish) route of using an agent. Bus picks me up at my condo Saturday morning, back at 3pm. They send your details ahead, so they'll be no nonsense at the border. 3,900, and that includes the $30 Cambodian visa charge. Cheers all!!!!! ???? ????
  16. Sorry should have said.... whichever is nearest, usual one that people in Pattaya use? Cambodia I guess.... And it's 3 days away.... and? Am I missing something? Its all done in one day, just need to know where and when to get the bus and which border to use.
  17. Hi all.... Many thanks in advance for any help you can give. It's a pretty straightforward one, i hope! I'm back living in Thailand, Pattaya, and at some point will get myself a longer term type visa. But for now I'm going to do a border bounce on 29th of this month, with an almost brand new passport..so: 1. Name of/location of bus stop from Pattaya I need to use 2. Rough time it leaves ( I think it's about 5.30am?).... and price of government bus (I'm going cheap!!!) - and the bus for returning. 3. Do I need to book the bus or can I just rock up at the right time? I only ask because I've lost my debit card so can't pay online. All the border info I already have from my good friend who lives near it, and has filled me in with all the info I need. If anyone is driving that same day, I'll happily car share/ pay towards petrol. Again, thanks for the help. I did Google this first, but got overloaded with irrelevant info, so here I am!!! ????????
