  1. Thailand at its very best greed is good more money money I need more money not enough never enough money money, lovely money.

If you have some AS/SET, keep it away from Thailand and never married a Thai woman or have a kid with her so you won't have any serious problem.

Everything here is finally a matter of money.

rent a wife and kid instead?
  2. You stated in an earlier post: I have a longterm panic/anxiety disorder from shock so tend to worry too much. It doesn't feel like the "real me" but I can't help it.

With that statement in mind, I would advise that you get a biopsy done, if for nothing else, to stop yourself unnecessarily worrying about things inside you that you can't see.

By not having a biopsy at this time, and by trying to justify your decision, you are just prolonging your worries.

A negative test result will ease your mind, a positive test result will lead to Plan B in your life. Not necessarily a death sentence.

my psa value is 34,5 I had 3 biopsies all negativ the first biopsie after PSA 18 the second after PSA 22 every time 12 samples. sometimes the tumor is at a location not normally dedected.I was told that with such a high PSA value there should be normally a tumor although sometimes inflamation

and a high BPH can be the cause.Iwas advised to check with a scan. The scan showed a suspicious area but as after one year the scan showed this area did not grow I stopped any further biopsies I forgot to mention that during the scan also the spectroskopic investigation showed only a slightly higher Cholin value and it also showed that this area was still inside the capsule. to be sure you could check with a MR sreening

  3. German culture and Thai culture do NOT mix.

Come on.....It mixes very well....In the company I worked before the Thais were corrupt and the Austrians (which are basically the same as Germans) brought a perfect system into the corruption. They worked hand in hand and shared fairly. A perfect example how different cultures can work together and enhance themselfs with this cooperation.

h 90 since when are you of the opinion that the Austrians are basically the same as the Germans? Did you ever visit the northern part of Germany?

    I know everybody lies.cheesy.gif alt=cheesy.gif>

true! the truth and nothing but the truth can only be derived from the postings of the resident eggsburts. looking at the hundreds (or more) postings and dozens of threads during the last six years i get the impression that retired Farangs in Thailand who do not own/run a business hope and daily pray

"Dear God, please let Thailand's economy and the Thai Baht go down the drain that my <insert currency> will buy as many Baht as in <insert year>."

and the hard core of the above-mentioned group is presenting since six years "evidence" that the downturn has already started.

an excellent example is the thread "Thai Economic Crash" which was started in january 2009 - read, weep or burst with laughter! other similar threads exist and all threads contain the mantra "any time from now... not later than <insert number of months>"

  5. 1-2 mm horizontal ST depression in multiple leads, toegther with a clinical history of a feeling of "pressure" in the chest are is indeed suggestive of coronary artery disease.

This article gives an idea of the predictive value of your EST findings:

    http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/clc.4960020408/pdf

You will note that for an ST depression of 1 mm, 73% had confirmed coronary artery disease on angiogram. For 1-2 mm, figure a little higher. In other words, while it is possible the finding was just an "artifact", the odds favor there in fact being a problem.

The wisest course would be to return to your home country where you are fully insured and undergo a coronary angiography during which, if indicated based on the findings, they can immediately insert stents to open up blockage.

what sheryl has posted and what could be the problem is almost what i was experiancing, lack of breath, tight chest,[presure] but no pain,i did have that presure feeling in my left arm and also after food i was limited to what i could do.

the tests ecg.was ok.echo gram showed a valve problem with my heart but the same symptoms that you are getting revealed

    coronary blockage[had a double by-pass.and a valve replacement.

do you smoke, have hbp,or high cholestrol.i had 2 out of 3 but never smoked in my life.

as its been said take a holiday.

was the operation performed in Thailand? If yes where and what did youn have to pay?
  6. you have a heart rate of 59 which is normal. You do not have to take a lot of betablockers. For blood thinners aspirin is in your case sufficient. My heart rate is always above 90 heart beat irregular and I have to take additional to 100 mg aspirin warfarin 2.5mg per day 200 mg metropolotartrate and an other betablocker,Sport is not possible.I am thinking of ablation. With me it will not go away with medication it is chronic already. Some specialists in Bangkok?

  7. Will depend on he number of stents, as the devices themselves are expensive. These days, a single stent placement runs in excess of 300K baht (over 400K in some hospitals).

If uninsured, it is worth the extra red tape and wait times to have this done in a government hospital. Will reduce costs by more than half.

    [/quote

The price of a medicated stent is about 28 000 THB placement of one stent in the hospital of the PSU in Had Yai is about 120 000 THB in the Banghkok Had Yai hospital 2years ago placement of one stent was approx. 280 000 THB.

  8. Who travels without international health insurance anyway???

Lots it seems, but even more troubling is that people move to foreign countries to live on a permanent basis and do not carry medical insurance either and obviously they are not citizens or PR's of the country they move to and are on fixed incomes and in many cases very few savings in the bank.

so one could expect things may turn out very bad for them if they fall seriously ill, or are involved in a serious accident and dont have the funds to pay for all medical treatment they require

next year I will travel without insurance because my usual company will not insure above the age of 75.
  9. I remember when Chavalit was army Chief. He started a project called green Isaan. He wanted to supply water for irrigation. The army came with big equipment and dug big deep holes. When the rain came the water run into the holes. But it did not stay in the holes it seeped out.The good general forgot to tell his soldiers that using linings for embankments and the bottoms would be helpful to prevent this.

  10. wai2.gif Well the ticket he can return now, if ever he will fly again apart to the nirvana. But why does the headline tells about 200 kg and the article reads already 426 kg straight?!cheesy.gif Someone there wants to double the success and honors?bah.gifblink.png We can be sure when 200 kg getting confiscated the double has left the country already. Even if 4 of 5 smugglers getting caught the still get a win!coffee1.gif

they mixed up the weight with the assumed street price also
