Help is at hand... simply;
1. wrap a turd in a newspaper
2. place it on their doorstep
3. set it on fire
4. ring the doorbell
5. run away.
Your internet might still be sh*te, but atleast your sense of humour would have been restored.

CB - Having had time to reflect and let the Beer Chang dissipate, I can now see that it is infact the sheath for the knife and it is not a ladies shoe. Thanks I will however be wary about approaching pensioners in future, making sure that I check their footwear.

If pattaya did die. where would be the next best place ?
Heaven of course.
Jomtien Beach was extremely busy this weekend, most noticeably with Thai tourists (presumably from Bangkok getting out of dodge).
-
I'm still sure it's a shoe.....
-
Still, it's heart warming to know that the pensioners here in Patters carry knives. And from the photo, looks like one of them (presumably the Ze German) was wearing what appears to be ladies shoes. Ahhhh Pattaya.

Fair response I would say from Kolobos, so much so that I would be happy to visit Cafe Uno and give it a try.

Speaking as a chang vest-wearing pervert who likes a drink in the afternoon, this is a veritable nightmare. Get ready for demonstrations outside the Belgian consulate reminiscent of when some Danish Newspaper published a derogatory cartoon of Mohammed

This is great, but I have been using the F1 as an excuse to go out to the pub on Sunday for the last 4 years. Don't tell the missus I could be watching it in the comfort of my own living room for gods sake..

The city should fund a relocation program and send all of these sex trade workers back to their home provinces. Then, they can start over and build a sustainable, healthy, long-term economy based on shopping, tours, sports and other family activities. They can build more schools, clinics, hospitals, businesses and healthy tourism venues and invite more firms to hold seminars, meetings and events.
This will help to clear out the sex tourists and bring in more families. Then, the crime will go down and they can clean up the beach and the city.
We will witness the rebirth of Pattaya in the near future and this is good news for the city and residents. They will transform the current bars with working girls to regular bars, selling drinks and a few discos for dancing. Then, they can retain the alcohol revenue and still offer some form of entertainment like Coyote dancers and cabaret shows. There will always be a few freelancers walking around selling sex, but the vast majority will be cleared out and sent back home, along with many criminals that go hand in hand with the sex trade business.
This is the future.
You seriously need to get deported. Kindly PM me with your passport details.

what area are you in Monty?
-
-
Yes, it would definately be good for the area in general. It's a shame that the Complex never really took off, it's got bags of potential but it needs alot of work doing to it. There are already a number of decent restaurants there, along with some smaller (and cheaper) bars.
How old is Jomtien complex anyway?

I tried the Jel stuff once before, but it didn't do anything for me, infact it just made it all sticky. Then I tried the tablet, but it got stuck in my throat and I had a stiff neck all day.
Wonder what will be the outcome of this then? A slap on the wrists or a hefty fine? Seems like there are bigger fish to fry here in Pattaya.

I get my information from a man in the pub. Or at least posters here who have talked to a man in a pub the night before.
Whilst I'm not a sheep, I'll boycott the taxi meter chappies anyway. baaaa.

Chang Paarp is correct - the pub was called Flannigans but . Shenanigans is supposed to be opening tonight.
As for the supermarket - yes I think it's where the car park was/is. They are definately doing alot of major work there presently (opposite the Fantasy bar).

First I'm assuming you mean Laos!
If you want to make a bit of adventure out of it, you can get yourself to Bangkok train Station (Hualamphong), take the overnight sleeper train to Nongkhai. Then get a bus from Nongkhai to Vientane. I must admit that on the way back I decided to get a cab to Udon Thani from where I flew back!
Yes, Air Asia does some cheap flights 2,400 THB return. Sleeper train (VIP car) 1,000 THB
Oh, if you remember, please bring back some Beer Lao (or Loa) for me, thanks

Fred, just try and stop me. Infact, we could have the Pattaya Music Marathon from Friday till Sunday. The JP Bar will never be the same again.
Permission to bring a friend. He still has his cymbals from his Hare Krishna days.

Jessy, sorry for perhaps poking fun earlier - Fair play, you're trying to help your mate out and you've asked a decent question regardless of the reasons behind it - the answers to which I'm sure will serve plenty of people in the future.

Running away seems to be a favourite amongst those causing accidents here. Not just car drivers, but lorry drivers and even bus drivers (complete with passengers on board).
Some people simply 'panic' and later hand themselves in, but others expect to get away with murder literally. Tossers.

Prices don't vary that much between the stores you mentioned. Expect to pay about 6,000 THB depending on frame size. I would be also tempted to look in a bike shop located on Thepprasit Rd. It's located near entrance to Soi 8 (on the left hand side if you are driving towards Sukhumvit Rd). They've got a decent selection of bikes, although they're pricier than Tesco etc.
-
Jessy - your mate sounds like a right card, coming all the way to Thailand for a couple of days just to get his nuts. Class.
Anyway, it's shaping up to look like an expensive weekend;
Flight - 60,000 THB
Hotel - 3,000 THB
International phone calls - 20,000 THB
'Companionship' - 10,000 THB
Lube - 345.57 THB
Terrible behaviour mind you.

On the flipside, I use Caltex on Sukhumvit (near Tesco Lotus). They are very polite and always clean your windscreen, ask if you want air in your tyres etc. On one occasion my car wouldn't start due to a flat battery - so the attendant runs to his car, brings out a set of jump leads and sends me on my merry way with smile (and no charge). A refreshing change from Shell.
Is There A Decent (non-fast-food) Burger In Pattaya?

I scoffed a 'Pattaya Beer Garden Burger' the other week, which was nice.
