What is the tastiest Thousand Island sauce one can buy in supermarkets in Thailand?
-
In the beginning of July I could withdraw 25000 Baht (or maybe more, I didn't try) at AEON ATM, since then only 20000.

One disappointing aspect about Central Plaza which is quite Western oriented, is that they do not have movies in English. Sunee no longer show movies with English soundtrack and I thought SF Cinema at Central would. There have been some good movies in the past 6 months and almost none in English.
I went to the SF Cinema at Central Ubon today, found the whole experience superb. Extremely comfortable seats, perfect sound, AC not too cold, very professionally organised.
The one downside is that I have now been asked to grow a beard by my wife. The movie we saw was "Wolverine" and she said that with my shirt off I looked like Hugh Jackman.
With English soundtrack??

My wife and I visited Ubon Ratchathani Zoo yesterday. So here is an update.
As we knew the park isn't finished yet, we didn't expect too much of it.
Since 12 July visitors have to pay an entrance fee. Thai pay 70 Baht, foreigners 100 Baht. Pay 1 get 1 free. We paid 140 Baht for the two us. I don't know why. I didn't ask and just paid.
After parking your car you cab choose to visit the 'animal zone' in an open bus (20 Baht, to be paid near the bus stop) or by driving a golf cart yourself (300 Baht). If you don't understand Thai, you'd better choose for the golf cart, as you don't understand anything the bus driver is explaining. What's more, driving the golf cart, you can stop whereever you like and you can take better pictures.
As I said before the zoo isn't finished yet. A map of the zoo, which you can get at the information desk, mentions about 35 different species. At the moment I guess they only have about 10 different species. So no bears yet, or monkeys, hyenas, buffalos, rhino, elephants... The information leaflet tells me the purpose is to have Ubon Ratchathani Zoo ready for ASEAN (2015). We will certainly go back then.
As mentioned by other posters you reach Ubon Ratchathani Zoo by highway 23 (direction Yasothon), and turn right just before lake Huai Chaeramae (Road 6105). From there roadsigns in Thai and English will lead you to the zoo.

And after being patient a lot, this is SCB's second answer:
regarding to your issue, we'd like to inform we accept only Metropolitan Electricity Authority Bill.
-
This the answer I have just received from SCB. They don't seem to know that PEA is NOT in their biller's group
Regarding to your email, we'd like to inform that you can make a payment to PEA electricity bill, and you need to add PEA electricity to biller list before pay the bill as follow;
Go to payment & e-bill >> My biller list >> Add from Biller Group >> and search Biller
Best Regards,
Wisa Teppruek

What makes a city worth a visit to you? If forced to choose a city, I'd check out Mukdahan.
Things to do, things to see, things to visit for me and my wife during a day or two.
-
Which cities are worth a visit when one stays in Ubon for a long time. Yasothon? Roi Et? ......

Living in Ubon the electricity is provided by Provincial Electricity Authority. The things on their website one needs to know, aren't in English...
So my question: can I pay my bills using SCBeasy or by credit card online (as I do for TOT bills). If so, what's the correct procedure?

Thanks guys. I'm in Ubon (Isan) at the moment and here I cannot find them. Will be in Pattaya next month.

TSF furniture is certainly worth a visit when you're looking for in- or outdoor furniture!

I have just visited Central Plaza Ubon for the very first time. I found it a bit disappointing. Am I the only one to feel that way?? (Leave out the banks and the restaurants, and there isn't much left, is there?). Must admit, I didn't walk in into Robinson yet.
-
Thanks John. Always interested to know about new shops. Will have a look later today.
-
Hi
Does anyone here knows a shop where they sell garden furniture, especially a seat to lie down in (for sunbathing:) )
-
Can't find a website anymore about Central Plaza Ubon.

In answer to your question, my 9 year old pick-up costs me ฿14,000 for firstclass insurance and license.
Sent from my i-mobile IQ 6 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
.
I've read first class insurance isn't available for cars older than 5 years.
This is not correct. My pick-up is about 8 years old, and I have first class Insurance (about 12,000 Baht a year).

Has he already appeared in court today, anyone knows?

Today, 25 December, the Ubon Jungle park opened.
The park doesn't seem to have a website yet, but you can find it on Facebook: อุทยานสัตว์ป่าอุบลราชธานี (Ubon Jungle Park)
Need an update on Taxi Meters or Baht Bus Flate Rates?
in Pattaya
Posted
I stopped three taxi meters last Friday at around 7pm. None of them wanted to switch on the meter. They did want to take me if I agreed on the flat fare of 100 Baht.
