What is worrying is that you also have to use your immigration office for a re-entry permit.

I cannot speak for Suvarnabhumi but I never noticed the re-entry permit desk at Chiang Mai Airport being overwhelmed by applicants.

I flying thai for 8 years now,

its getting worse and worse,

last time they saved the cognac already,

for halv a year you dont get slippers any more,

with miles you get ripped off,

needed awrd miles increased for more than 30%

the birthdaybonus is also gone;

The food is getting worse,

last time I got sick, and sure only from Thai cartering,

on my last reeboking from PAD desaster,

they didn't confirm the bookinh from Delhi

and I had to pay another ticket

I didn't look at age of the plains,

but look at the sanitary part -

( I havnt seen similar in some african airlines );

Tables are scribbing or broken,

seats are moving alone,

earphones and hand controls are inoperative;

To prices !!

Ther are some ticket prices reduced !

But so many restrictions,

you will not take or catch the flight you want,

they want catch you and sell the normal fair tickets !!

As some other mentions:

Fuel surcharge is same like when barrel were 180 $,

for promotional tickets, connecting flight is 260,- Eur,

before december it was 200,-

rebooking fee is dubbled to 300,- Eur;

When ever I want an award or miles upgrade to business,

no seat for upgrade available.

I checked it out- by online booking from BKK,

an all flights for 6 months from BKK to FRA or Mu,

NO ONE SINGLE AWARD seat were available !!

Some of us love D.M. because we can take the bus from up country, get out at the airport and conveniently get on our flight. D.M. is easier and friendlier...I haven't yet flown domestically out of Suwanabhum and probably won't, even if everything is relocated. I also use Don Mueng when I come into Bangkok on business, stay overnight, jump into a van to Future Park, get off at the airport all for 25B for a wuick trip. In the end you have to walk over the bridge which is just part of the adventure.

Swampy does have a proper bus terminal with free shuttles from the main terminal (express shuttle from departure and arrival floors), with buses to all over Bangkok, including Ekamai and Mo Chit. There's also an excellent van service to Victory Monument for under 30 baht.

Swampy is bad, but it won't become better by spreading the traffic between two airports.

Some weeks ago, I could catch a seat on Thai airwas in flight only, as gold member and waiting list !

You dont believe, I found 40 seats free in the plain,

I don't see a problem with trashing failed Thaksin programs. I do see a problem with promising customers a lifetime benefit and then taking it away. There really ought to be a lawsuit for members to recover the cost of the cards as the visa program was a huge portion of the benefit sold, for many, the only thing they were spending the money for. At one time I considered it, and the only reason I wanted it was the visa feature. I didn't really expect it to be honored for life, but that is what they at least implied. Thaksin may now be a wanted fugitive but at one time he represented the government of Thailand and put the reputation of the government of Thailand behind this card, even though it was administered by a private company (how convenient).

All Thais are cheeted by thaksin,

I went, you forced to walk through their duty free shopes for 2 hrs,

after you have security control again,

on my row, the officer asked every one to take off the shoes,

Before 3 years I payed for a promotian ticket FFT BKK 555,- Euros,

today its more than 800,-

Last year when they announced promotianal price for Jan to march,

I called just 2 hrs after announcement, only 3 dates were left for this low rates,

in 3 months.

so I asked the operator if all was sold out in 2 hrs ??

he answered that only certain number of seats and for certain flights

promotional prices available.

Same will be with this promotion,

3 seats on every tuesday afternoon flight !

With free visa fee they want bring tourist in !

I travell 4 - 5 times a year, never over 30 days,

I dont need to pay any visa fee.

They want to bring in Chinese and russian turists .

An all my visits of any restaurants in last 5 years, in Pathaya, Phuket, Krabi, Samui, Koh Chang ,

...... maybee a 100 ore more dinning,

I cant remember ever have to seen any Chinese or Russion guest in this

middle class restaurants I prefere.

Maybee they are only visiting 6 stars hotels and restaurants ?

or they are self supplier in 7-11 ??

You walk on the beach and find a nice place,

maybee empty or 2 room out of 50 are occupied,

they will exist on 100% room rates.
