  1. I have done extensions for 8 years and have never used 12 month statement.
  2. No map if it's retirement extension. If you have an updated TM 30 that's no need for rental contracts. But bring everything, if they ask.
  3. If you have the 800.000 in a fixed deposit account without any movements during the year, except interest and update, the 12 month statement is not needed.
  4. That's correct. You can get that, and the copy of bank book, the day before you go to immigration.
  5. You can book time on their website https://www.immigration.go.th/en/#serviceonline If everything is in order it takes less then an hour. - TM 7 - Passport - Bank book - TM 30 - Bank statement - Copy of passport - Copy of TM30 - Copy of Bank book + 2 documents about overstay ( You get them outside the building )
  6. When applying for a Non O at immigration, the money in bank only have to be there the on the same day. But when doing the extension the money have to been in the bank for 2 month.
  7. OP, Beware of that you will need an ongoing ticket out of the country within the 45 days of your exempt.
  8. My friend is arriving in October 16 and have a Non immigrant O-A Visa. Which is valid till October 21. He have a LMG insurance 400/40 till October 21. At the immigration, what do they demand for insurance to stamp him in for a year. The LMG says 400/40 is still enough. Can this be correct ?

  10. Bring one manager from the family business with you to the bank. It will help a lot.
  11. I have not tried myself, No. But have read it in some threads. I will try find it. But it's the only way for the immigration to clarify that you have got a real visa.
  12. To get a visa is doable, but use it is more tricky. The immigration at airport will ask for proof that you are arriving from correct country, UK in this case, before he/she stamp in the Vsa in your passport.
  13. On Monday, July 4, I was at the border crossing in Chiang Khong. Went across the bridge to Laos, redeemed a visa, US $40, went in and out shortly after. No problems at all. Just a little waiting for the bus. Back to Thailand Immigration which also went well. The officer grumbled a bit about why I killed an extension/Visa and how difficult life would be for me now. However, I convinced the officer that it was exactly 30 days of exempt I wanted. Now today, July 6, I have submitted my application for an O-Visa at the immigration office in Chiang Mai. Also went without problems. Required was: Copies of the passport, TM30, TM6, Bank certificate that there is B 800,000 in the account, and a copy of the bank book. Nothing else. But they wanted everything in a double edition, which I have not seen anywhere. But with a little footwork, it was also fixed. It was a little fun that the helpful officer thought it made sense to apply for a new O-visa. Now the application will go to Bangkok first and then I will pick up my new Non Immigrant O-Visa Single entry, on August 4th.
