  1. Guys thanks a lot. I'm off for a ride around Phuket Town.

Now I need a rubber mat thick enough to protect a wooden floor from darts - any ideas on that?

They sell interlocking rubber floor tiles at seara sports on bypass. Same as you'd see at a gym in the weight areas.

  2. ^^so?

a big no-no in Thailand. Ever seen a laundromat or a self service car wash? They might exist but I certainly haven't seen one in phuket anyways. Both businesses I was interested but was told by several people it was not a good idea for my reason stated above.

If the vending machine is for an office or something than I don't see a problem.

  3. when I bought the bottle itself they installed everything for free, although I bought the large 1.5 meter tall one. I believe it was 8-10,000 baht for the big cylinder, then 1000 baht to exchange thereafter, and they deliver.

  4. I pay 8k monthly for small business with 5 employees, plus about 20k for year end stuff, and another 20k for my visa work permit. Good thing is I have not been to an immigration or employment office in 2 years aside from my 90 day reports.

  5. sorry, but they probably deserved it. 3 years here and Ive seen several thai/farang fights and each one the farang was asking for it. Example: Was at a nightclub and a thai man and his girlfriend were having drinks. Farang was trying to hit on the thai mans girlfriend. Thai man repeatedly and politely told the farang that it was his girlfriend and to kindly back off. Farang didn't. Beer bottle to the head and he deserved it.

I find it almost impossible to believe that the farangs didn't totally instigate the whole thing. Yes, I agree thais have a mob mentality, but in order for what you describe to ensue you would really have to do your best to piss someone off.
