The Treo is good, I had the 600, 650 is even nicer, loads of free Palm programmes you can download. I wish they'd get rid of the aerial though.
-
If they try to screw some cash out of you, opps no that one wouldn't work.

I use my Nokia N70, works fine for sending & receiving emails and attachments, 2.0 MPx Camera, great photos, 1 gig memory for my MP3s and photos, VDO camera, documents storage, blue tooth etc. Not as bulky as most PDA phones.
I use AIS, never have problems.
Waiting for the N80 to come out though with a 3MPx camera.

If it's not broken don't fix it. I prefer the original Yahoooooo.

No way will that car be for sale here, Europe yes, but not in LOS it makes too much sense!!!
-
Why let a waitress push you around, just ignore her!!
-
Then there'sthe restaurants that automatically open the water bottle after bottle and you didn't even ask for it!!! But it'll be on your tab.
-
I have the same issues in Bangkok, go to a bar/restaurant, order expensive food and drinks and then ask for a glass of water, the waitress comes back with a 80 Baht bottle.
All I want is a glass of water, they can't give it for free????

The Landcruiser is just a fancy HiLux too. Similar chassis, engine, gearbox, suspension etc!!

In the UK you can get a 174HP 2.5L turbo Nissan Navara, they should be flogging them here soon. How you get 174HP ffrom a 2.5L turbo is beyond me.
It's thrown a bit of a spanner in the works for our Vigo exports though, and a strong Baht ain't helping either.

Forget Volvos, they break down all the time. Whenever I see a busted car at the side of the road nine times out of ten it's a Volvo.
-
Check the tags on the seatbelts, should tell you when they were installed which gives you the age of the car.

Prados are around, 3.4L V6s, 4.0Ls from Toyota direct or 3.0L D4Ds, silly money when the Fortuner is so similar. Current shapes are around 2.5 million used and 3.5-ish new. Nice motors though!!!
-
Another nice motor to look at is the Nissan Teana, I didn't like them when they first came out, but a mate's got one and they're fully loaded with the luxury bits.
-
It all depends, some Immgration offices hand out the docs easily, some make you jump through hoops of fire, same with the local cop shop.

3 series BMWs are nice, but only buy from approved BMW dealers as you can have loads of electrical problems with these cars, so best get something with a warranty. I find the air-con can be ropey on these cars too.
Value for money the Accord would be best, or even a 2004/5 Camry with 2 years of warranty remaining, and also loads of toys, but only 2.4L available, however loads of power.
Fortuner is an excellent choice for SUV, but obviously a different drive to a sedan.
-
Best to stick with a BMW if you want a Euro car. Mercs are way more than your budget, and you'd have a hard time trying to sell an Audi.
I'd have a look at the 3.0L Honda Accord too, nice motors, all the bells and whistles, and a smarter choice.

You could always try the UBC Family Rally.
-
Nearly got run over by one last night so I guess they're still around!!!

Beggers belief!!!!

I just pimped up a white Fortuner for a client with EVERYTHING, the works, wheels, outside trim, bumpers, cladding, twin screen DVD, intra red VDO games, rear camera, Garmin GPS the works.
Did the Accessories at our usual place on Udom Suk, and the stereo at a place round the corner on Sri- Nakarin.
Cost for stereo and GPS: 160,000 Baht
Cost for accessories, wheels etc, 120,000 Baht
-
Approx 700K

The Garmin shop is on Thonglor Soi 13. Should be able to sort you out there.

Make sure you have a work permit and that it is relevant to car dealing.I have been approached at Manheim by a thai asking if I was there to buy more cars because he'd seen me buy the previous week.Apparently there have been occasions when the imigration police turn up,I wonder who might have rung them !!!!.
Sounds odd, maybe go with a Thai mate a buy through them. Dodgy cars at all these auction houses, and Manheim won't sell all them Vigos parked there.
