  1. I was in a Honda dealership today and asked them about ordering a new EL model,

the sales person told me straight away that it's not available for at least 6 or 7 months

due to a shortage of sunroofs, only the other models can be ordered right away.

The impression i got was it's not even worth placing an order for that model at the

    moment.

Who in their right mind wants a sunroof here?

  2. I cannot believe it does not have a dip stick, how is the fluid topped up? I would add a can of auto box additive and give it a good run, may help, worth a try?

Do you remember the days when Battries had those cute little lids you could twist off and fill with water (distilled or not).

    Then came the 'sealed battery'.

Actually, I havn't 'run it into the ground'.

It's because I know what is required of it is testament to that fact.

Cars are a machine, with basic maintainace requirements.

Eventually, machines reach a stage where it becomes cost prohibitive to continue that maintainance program.

For example, replacing the serpinitine belt is a case in hand. It's not broken, just worn.

But it's the major belt, so you replace it before it's broken.

Still, I appreciate the advice here, as I'm not across all the aspects of a car, and autos is not something I know a lot about.

Well both my vehicles in Thailand have little tops on the batteries and need filling up quite regularly, one is 6 months old and the other is 4 years, only my Honda bikes have sealed batteries along with my kubota tractor, good luck with the auto.

No idea I have no desire for a roller skate, a much better value would be a Mitsubishi Pajero

Unfortunately, a Pajero is about as far from the HR-V as you can get. A 7-seater tank with minimal safety features (two airbags??) used for driving and parking in central Bangkok traffic? Good for farm country, I suppose, but "value" for me is not based on price per kg.

More realistic options would be the CX-5, wait for the CX-3, or simply buy a good used Honda/Toyota sedan for occasional city use -- at least it's immediate delivery.

Who cares about airbags, I don't, CX 5 a total stupid price, I live up country and my Pajero is just perfect.

  4. Well I was going, but am still awaiting ticket prices from the world superbike website, who say they are still in negotiation with the organisers, what a load of crap, will instead go to the MotoGP in Sapang, which is well organised and not stupid awkward to buy tickets and if rumours are correct are only 25% the cost and KL is great for a few days. so no contest.
