Russia Presses Toward Pokrovsk with 110,000 Troops Amid Stalemate, Kyiv Warns
@dinsdale This article and stalement is about the POKROVSK Oblast, not the Sumy Oblast. For those who don't know the difference, Sumy Oblast is 500 km away, close to the Russian border north of Kharkiv, approximately a 6,5 hours drive away.

Russia Presses Toward Pokrovsk with 110,000 Troops Amid Stalemate, Kyiv Warns
To you ignorant guys over here who don't follow the war at the Pokrovsk oblast: https://www.csmonitor.com/World/Europe/2024/1114/ukraine-war-pokrovsk-siege-russian-invasion-drones This article is from November 14th last year. It says that Pokrovsk was close to fall already in September, but Ukraine is holding on. And have been all this time. Just like the article in this thread says. You're welcome. (I bet you won't even look at the link, and just give me your usual thumbs down, or your laughing emoji..)

Russia Presses Toward Pokrovsk with 110,000 Troops Amid Stalemate, Kyiv Warns
Another one who does not follow this war. This "info" is the exact same situation and info from September last year. What the feck do you guys call that, if it's not a stalement.

Russia Presses Toward Pokrovsk with 110,000 Troops Amid Stalemate, Kyiv Warns
LOL. The Russians have been 3-4 km from Pokrovsk since SEPTEMBER last year. You would have known that if you followed this war. It's even in the article. Even back then the taking of Pokrovsk was only "days away". That is the definition of STALEMATE, Mister. And this article is about the Pokrovsk oblast, not the Sumy Oblast.

Russia Presses Toward Pokrovsk with 110,000 Troops Amid Stalemate, Kyiv Warns
On the contrary. Look at what the Trump administration did today: They really don't care about Ukraine at all. I'm sick to my stomach by this administration.

Russia Presses Toward Pokrovsk with 110,000 Troops Amid Stalemate, Kyiv Warns
Trump is, as far as I know, holding back on those new sanctions, for now. Too weak to put them into effect? Putin has only been willing to negotiate if their demands are met. And those have been absolutely ridiculous. So no, he has shown no real interest of negotiating this war to an end. In fact, Putin's last speech claimed the whole Ukraine as Russian. That's the way they see Ukraine. And he quoted there own saying that where their soldiers put their feet, the land is theirs.. not much real negotiations there.

Russia Presses Toward Pokrovsk with 110,000 Troops Amid Stalemate, Kyiv Warns
True. By stop supplying Ukraine with what they have needed the most, Trump has definitely helped and supported Russia. By ordering to stop the US intel for a while too, Trump made a lot of damage. Biden, and his European allies, would not have been afraid of Russia's nuclear threats today, if he (or Kamala) still was president. Europeans aren't afraid of them anymore, this war has shown that the threats were only their desperate way of communicating. China would never let Russia use them, and Russia knows perfectly well that any nuclear use from Russia, would turn their own country into dust. The UK and France wouldn't hesitate to use theirs in response, even if the US wouldn't. But I'm pretty sure the US would answer as well, but who knows with Trump.

Russia Presses Toward Pokrovsk with 110,000 Troops Amid Stalemate, Kyiv Warns
Agree. As long as the Russian demands are too crazy to be accepted by Ukraine, this will probably not end with a peace agreement. A cease fire one day, of course, but it's per now difficult to see any solution here, unless Russia willingly accept a different agreement, or withdraw because of internal affairs, a coup or an economical collapse.

Russia Presses Toward Pokrovsk with 110,000 Troops Amid Stalemate, Kyiv Warns
Trump (Mr. "Ukraine should never have started this war") has had the key to that all along, but he is too weak, and has abandoned Ukraine. Zelenskyy's treatment in the White House is the most embarrassing I've ever seen. Trump and his administration have been in the pockets of Putin a long time, and really don't care about the outcome in Ukraine. President Biden was everything Trump is not, and the presidental switch has been a disaster for Ukraine. But they will hold stand, Russia is severely weakened now as well.

Russia Presses Toward Pokrovsk with 110,000 Troops Amid Stalemate, Kyiv Warns
Hold your horses. In Sumy oblast the Ukrainian army is pushing back. This is per definition looking a lot like a stalemate.

Russia Presses Toward Pokrovsk with 110,000 Troops Amid Stalemate, Kyiv Warns
Russians have been trying to take over Pokrovsk for more than a year now, and even early last autumn, it was only a matter of days before Pokrovsk were overtaken, the media said. But they were wrong. The heroes of Ukraine have been holding the fort for all this time, against all odds, so yes, there has definitely been a stalemate outside of Pokrovsk.

Norway: Crown Princess’s Son Charged with Rape and Assault Amid Growing Allegations
Yes, it's sad. This was definitely not what the royal family needed now, in a time where their roles and the need for a monarchy are questioned, with the shaman Durek Verrett entering the family as well. But they will survive this too, the Norwegian people in general love their Kingdom. I hope Marius gets what he deserves, a long time in prison. In Norway you will be prosecuted, whichever name you carry.

800k Not In the Bank Method
The first year you would pay around double that amount. With the following extensions normally between 12,5k to 15k. I see your point, and I think more and more retirees are using agents now, for various reasons.

Trump’s NATO Moment: 'Daddy' Remark Sparks Laughter and Global Headlines
If you think this is only about the "daddy" thing, you haven't followed this case. It started with Rutte making a private message to Trump after his bombing of Iran, which again Trump put out on his Truth Social account. Where Rutte was kissing his butt in the most embarrassing way. And he continued praising him at the NATO meeting in Haag, a buttlicking we never before have seen inside NATO, or elsewhere in Europe leadership. It was straight out embarrassing to watch, and it IS a big thing in the news and social media in Europe. Mark Rutte is certainly not Jens Stoltenberg, with his integrity.

Trump’s NATO Moment: 'Daddy' Remark Sparks Laughter and Global Headlines
How can anyone ignore his craziness, day in and day out. It's not one day without an embarrassing rant on SoMe, or without another step towards fascism and dictatorship. It affects the world when this lunatic is the head of the free world, and the most powerful country in the world. I will start charging rent for squatting in my head.

Trump Unleashes Tirade Against Zohran Mamdani After Shocking NYC Mayoral Primary Victory
This. MAGA has gotten so used to these embarrassing rants and tirades, so they can't even see anything wrong with them. I'm mindblown each time I read what he has to say, and thinking this can't be real, can it? But of course it is. The president of the most powerful country in the world, the leader of the free world, is yet again acting like an angry 7 year old crybaby. No respect for anyone who's not praising him like a king, clearly being a racist, no empathy for anyone. Unbelievable. His MAGA supporters must be just like him.

Trump Hesitates on New Russia Sanctions, Urges Europe to Take the Lead
A couple of countries still do in relatively big quantities. Those who oppose (and try to block) any EU sanctions against Russia, and of course oppose and block help and aid to Ukraine. That is Hungary (Orban), and Slovakia (Fico), Putin's (and Trump's...) friends. The shame of European countries. They should have been thrown out of the European Union. So highly Trump has spoken about Orban (and Fico), makes me sick to my stomach.

Trump Hesitates on New Russia Sanctions, Urges Europe to Take the Lead
Couldn't have said it better. And I'm "neutral", being a Norwegian. The words he is using both on his platform Truth Social, and the official WH platform, is baffling to watch from here. Who talks like this? I'm embarrassed just by reading it. He has no empathy at all, acting like a child, calling others all kinds of bad names, crying like a baby, putting himself like the greatest person ever lived. If European politicians would ever talk or write like he does, they would be gone before they could say cheese. But you Americans must think it's cool and can't see anything wrong here. It's just mind boggling.

Trump Hesitates on New Russia Sanctions, Urges Europe to Take the Lead
If you think sanctions haven't worked, you haven't got a clue what you're taking about. Russian inflation, interest and so on, is going through the roof, and Russian economy is about to go to shiits. If is hasn't already. Their income of oil and gas isn't even covering their increased military expenses, and a massive part of Russian companies are having all sort of economical problems.
