This is the first post in ages that I’ve read every comment , I love to find places in Thailand that have good food similar to ireland , there is some Irish pubs & English pubs that do some real tasty dishes , I like Thai food but nothing compares to what we are used to at home ,the same goes for Thai people my wife of 20 years will eat Irish food if in a restaurant/ house party or wedding etc but after that it’s Thai food for her all the way when she is at home cooking etc even when I am down in south Thailand away from the tourist areas a McDonald’s can be a god send some times as it’s exactly the same and you know what your going to get taste wise or a 7/11 in the evening for a ham & cheese toasted sandwich or a beef & onion pie in an English pub (tourist area again of course) with some Hp sauce 😋

Different yes but I wonder how do they get along with the 80 thousand Russians that live & holiday in Phuket , Pattaya is gone practically India town now even the Russians are moving out in big numbers and heading down to Phuket which you could call little Moscow now

It’s About time they started acting on motorcycle helmet wearing in Thailand , they need to do it country wide

The government need to put a stop to this , it’s not a big job to wear a damn helmet , it needs to be preached from school level & have a campaign on tv every day , I know people in Thailand that won’t even wear a seat belt & thet use a thing to put in it to stop the cars sensor from beeping while they drive , police need to do their job too & stop every rider that is not wearing a helmet , Also throw away those fake stupid plastic helmets they are useless , I cannot understand the stupidity really baffles me , you only have one head & it’s the first thing to hit the ground when you fall off a motorbike so cop on and start wearing those helmets please !!

The same pricing should be for everyone , Thailand should be no exception to this If Thai people were charged double in other countries when on their holidays thet would no like it either , I used to question my wife on this over the years and she always said sure you don’t pay tax in Thailand that’s why entry to national parks etc are more for us foreigners compared to Thais , Thailand should move with the times & treat everyone the same regarding pricing

I’m talking about Ireland regarding this , 90 % of funerals here are burials ,it’s only in the last few years that some choose cremation

Everyone has different beliefs I suppose I was just saying that’s the traditional thing that older folk do they are not into cremation that much , there is a service in Ireland called The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust that many who have not got the ready funds to do this have used very successfully & they handle everything then afterwards the family have benefit nights or something to pay them back afterwards

I see many commenting here have never heard of a Wake , maybe his family would like to see him one last time before they bury him in his local cemetery & give him a wake first for his family & friends to come and pay their respects , RIP to the young guy

Yes I agree ,flights are not cheap nowadays like they used to be so it would be a concern when someone doesn’t make their return flight home , hope the man is found safe and well

I prefer to have cash in my pocket any day , cash is king , don’t like this move to all digital, I was a restaurant in Bangkok recently & no cash was being accepted

Probably get a 30 day stay after that then back home

How about do a few checks on those Russians & Arabs that have taken over Pattaya & running their own businesses on walking street etc , they have practically taken over , there is even Young people in their 20’s handing out flyers on the street as you walk past their bars every night now !!
