  1. Can anyone answer my question.

What colour shirt am i allowed to wear without the risk of

    being abused or beaten up?

Blue is always good. Or rainbow colored. Someone should start a rainbow-shirt movement - the T-shirts could have a map of Thailand colored like a rainbow just to get away from this colored-shirt nonsense.
Already occupied by DR. Seri LBGT society. Participating at anti government angry mob.
  2. The government is not in some perilous spiral of debt. Calm down.

45%,of GDP is still manageable. Doesn't mean that the rice thing is a good policy though.

Oppositions of the government kept talking about spiral of debt. AV, when warned by BOT that his populist policies - subsidies and handouts, might cause public debt to surge past the legal debt ceiling of no more than 50% of GDP,countered the BoT's warning by claiming it was just expression of opinion in a technical manner. Is he still using the same argument?

    The legal debt ceiling is 60% under the Public Debt Management Office Act of 2005 but carry on. If you really want to read about the various scenarios try here;

    http://asiancorrespondent.com/103443/will-the-yingluck-government-face-a-public-debt-crisis/

From the Asian Correspondent article: Kittirat says the sustainabale level is 60%, does that make it the law?

Actually thats is not necessary for thai gov to issue new bonds. Thailand is on of the major US treasury bonds holders. 50 billion USD in bonds, means low rate loan for US administration to pay US farm bills instead of thai farmers subsidy.

But, eh, mm, ok. Uncle Sam and IMF might be angry as it is they need these monie more then Thailand do.

  3. The naivety of the foreign media is breathtaking. do they not realise that with a job like 'head of research in Bangkok for Thanachart Securities' this person is de facto a Yellow shirt. Don't Bloomberg have a reporter with a pair of green wellies who could ask a peasant farmer in Phayao whether he agrees with this analysis and present some sort of balanced report?

The modern society sick. They do not respect farmers as estate dealers, securities traders or porn actors and they call it hiso.
  4. Heina you said that the democrats and the Pad bought votes before Taksin was born.. I was under the impression that Thailand has not been a democracy that long and that voting is a relatively new thing. I thought mr T was born before the 1970.

Does this mean you don't know what you are talking about or am I misinformed ?

With all due respect you certainly have to refresh you Thai history knowledge. I can recommend some books about year 1946 in thai.

As far as wiki goes it says something about military led governments from 1932 up until 1973 the student uprising. Please give me some reference.

Ah just found some election results for democrats but they go back to 1957 and taksin was born in 1949 so you were wrong anyway. I was not 100% correct either.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democrat_Party_(Thailand)

    Google again. Year 1946.

  7. There are also tens of millions of Thais who do NOT support Thaksin. Do you not think that their votes and feeling count?

They suppose to be count on election poll innit? But Democrats,PADies and their backers do no want it. They do not need law they need war and blood, obvious.

Not really they just want some changes in the law so corrupt politicians will have a harder time stealing from the country.

Not because they themselves are angels but because they wont be in power much.. if i cant steal nobody can..

I love it as the winners are the people of Thailand if corruption is attacked. Strange that the reds don't want it.

Just for most of thai voters is more then clear that that Thaksin haters are corruption founders and Democrats and PADies bought votes before Thaksin was born.

  8. I don't believe that is a case of pot/kettle, simply advice that it is never in anyone's interest , from either side of the political divide, to speculate on banks. Such speculation tends to attract those from the shallow end of the gene pool. It's not constructive and can frighten people for no valid reason. Perhaps that was your intent.

Let others judge you that is much better. Actually others did and sided mainly with me on that thread. Something like 10 likes when i commented on your remark.

Anyway I am still indecisive about the role of the foreigner here and politics. No matter how much i like to voice my opinion and I have we as foreigners don't register much yet.

But we are an easy group to pick onto and that could go either way.. red thugs ore yellow thugs. I have had conversations about politics with Thais, they love it if you support them but if you don't many say you should stay out. Now with the bias Western press we might get it if the Shins are finally kicked out. Or maybe not, but fact remains we are a vulnerable group and also deeply divided on where we stand but that is not how Thais see it. They are still quite xenophobic at times.

Ok, I'm sure you will forgive me for being slightly underwhelmed with concern that some TV posters agreed with you. What you say about the Thai view is just as valid for the tens of millions of Thais NOT supporting change in the way contemplated by Suthep. A few thousand....down to hundreds now...does not a majority make ( even though they might think their views are worth more than other Thai citizens). Very patronizing and blinkered perspective

  9. I doesn't matter in the long run. Whether it's Yingluck or someone else, whenever the next election takes place, they will be voted in. The people want their vote to be respected and not to be bullied.

If it wasn't Yingluck (or another Shin relative) the election would be taking place without problems.

It won't. Samak Sundaravet was not relative but longterm thai politican. It will never stop Democrats and their angry mob allies.

  10. 42 bullets where are the bullet holes in the building.

if he was sitting by the table in the picture and they shot 42-47 bullets with an AK47 that normally holds 30 bullets with a standard magazine only hitting him with 2 that wall would look like swiss cheese...and then they would have to stop to reload...doesnt make sense! just saying

Just small remark. It is possible to use RPK( mashine gun) magazines for a AK47. Holds 40 catridges.

If it was AK74 instead of mentioned AK47 then it is possible to use RPK74 magazines with 45 catridges.

  11. The Rice Scheme is a clear Pyramid Scheme, the farmers input x amount of wealth (in rice) expecting to get 2x in return while the money generated by the scheme is actually

In other countries the scheme itself, let alone any corruption, would be the subject of a criminal investigation.

Tell as where are you from and we will tell you how much your government spend for a agriculture subsidy and how much they loan for that.

Can you name one country paying 40% above World market price (besides Thailand) to their farmers? I thought not.

Can you prove these payments 40% above market price for thai rice? BCAA receipts are OK, i think you do not. Whats is source of your information?

Hey, Heina, before you go asking questions, I'm waiting for you to tell me what my country spends in subsidies and how much it loans to for that.

When you are done with that please let me know what does that have to do with the PTP government breaking the law here in Thailand.

    Thank you three times.

All of countries subsidy their agriculture and farmers except of IMF slaves. You can find dozen of them at Africa, Latin america and Asia. Farmers "enjoy" their living and working conditions up there. Thai democrat party and ex prime minister Lekpai put the country on that shit but fortunately his time is over. EU spend about 30 percent of budget to farmers. As well as US, Japan, Switzerlan, Canada, Oz, Nz. Hard to remind amount now but it is all public information and can be easy found on official budget sources. On this world there is no "free markets". This is dog eat dog world.

No you show evidences as mentioned.

PS. Does not clear what law have broke. Make it clear please. Civil code, commercial code, what article, etc

  12. IMO the only problem I see with this article is the fact that the Gov't bought the rice at a price higher than the market is right now. So no matter how much they sell, there's no way to fund all the payouts.

Any which way they try to spin this they're screwed

  14. I don't drink Leo because of its soapy aftertaste. Love my Chang tho, and no runs....
    Soapy aftertaste means high dyacetil.
Can high dyacetil cause headaches and/or squirts?

I do not think so. But in my point of view the cause of hangover is short aging time what helps to get rid of all necessary crap from the beer, ferments widely used in a modern commercial breweries and ingredients thai brewers using such as corn, broken rice kernels etc etc. I am almost sure that not over 20 percent of malt in any thai beer.

I brew by myself for the personal consumption and the cost is not over 35 baht per liter.

  15. Thaksins money should have been seized since a long time. Most he got from corruption.

If you to care to check it was seized years ago.

Good point. It was seized at Bangkok Bank, whose representative are in top Democrat party election list so they did have enough for current mob payments and casta system setup as they declare.
  16. Since so many of the scams involving ATMs and internet rip-offs are committed by Russians and Nigerians, I think the Thai government should consider a special 500 baht fee for travellers arriving from Russia and Nigeria to help offset the cost of arresting them and housing them in a Thai jail. This 500 baht fund would fit nicely with the 500 baht medical expense fee they are proposing.

As well as with 500 baht fee to Britons, German and Americans whose citizens committed in most pedophilia cases in Thailand.

Do you have facts to back this up? Links please?

Or just another silly remark aimed at nationalities other than your own?

Lift you head from the sand.

This website is full of links you are requested.

  18. I am living in Nakhon Chai Si, Nakhnon Pathom and using TOT WINET service.

It is work fine except I cant access Thaivisa.com and some others web sites based on Amazon AWS Cloud hosting.

Not sure is anything wrong with TOT or Thaivisa (Amazon AWS based web sites) but no problem with access from other internet service providers as DTAT, AIS.

  19. Neither True Vision or GMM Z box can`t be used to watch EURO 2012 matches at my condo at Thong Lor area.

True Vision can`t be used as they misers and GMM Z box can be used with satellite dish only not a cable True Vision provided at most of places in Bangkok.

So it can be a good idea to make simple aerial to watch footie.

All you need: hanger, tape, two half liter beer cans (don`t be miser as well buy half liter cans), cable.

True Vision Platinum subscription - 2000 thai baht

There are some things money can't buy. For everything else visit physics classes at primary school.
