when i first started to learn to read thai i decided comic books were the way to go, so there i am struggling over page 6 and wondering wot the ###### it was about, after 2 days i gave in and asked a thai, yep the text went something like this, there was a pic of a male over a female who was dead and he was saying wot good sex she was cos she wos a dead virgin and then he took her virginity.

for the last 15 years at butterworth train station the signs there said u had to be able to show 10,000baht on entry to thailand, the immigration officers are not going to ask every single person to show em there wedge, its there purely for if they have some obnoxious smelly back packer who they dont want to let in, the immigration will never enforce that every person entering the country has to show cash, its only the idiots and the illegal workers that are worried about it and if they are like normal polite ppl they will never be asked, but unfortuneately this forum is full of alarmist imbeciles who like to try and wind ppl up, believe me it will never be enforced that all entries on any border will have to show cash, yes the immigration ppl will ask some of the dirty disgusting back packers to show some cash cos they dont want em in the country.

i think that you will find that certain moderators on this forum like to stir this sort of thing up with there posts to get ppl worried and to post more, other than that i cant see why there are so many alarmist posts on this subject.

taxexile, so you are quite happy with the idea of street executions of maybe drug dealers, so where do we draw the line? street executions of ppl riding motorbikes without crash helmets?at what stage of law enforcement should the thai police not be allowed to be judge jury and executioner?

I believe this new law is going to be enforced world wide, something to do with gene pools or some such thing, still dont understand why news papers cant spell jeans correctly and what clothing has to do with getting married though

actually as much as i love to hate heng he is quite right, the americans have killed loads of innocent ppl in iraq, so it does come down to how can ppl from a 1st world country that is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of innocent ppl complain about taskins police executioners offing a few undesirables and a few innocents, maybe taskin should put in a complaint about bush and blair and their war attrocities..

it was only becos of taskin that the street executions started, before they used to arrest drug dealers, taskin gave the order to execute, u dont think that the police suddenly decided over a couple of months period to execute ppl they caught dealing?2500 of them.at least the taliban didnt execute 1250 ppl per month on the streets.

dont u think that some police may also be involved in the drug industry? dont u think that it would be a good time for them in their minds to stop their competitors? and also ppl that they have problems with etcetcetc, where will it end?

i know of a lot of bar owners that take valium or pain killers for various reasons, which are all totally legal, but they joke to the staff that they are taking yaba, the staff then grass them up and they get raided and to be found with the pain killers or valium that they take, with taskin allowing them to execute ppl again, im pretty sure there will be more awful mistakes as im sure there must have been with the previous 2,500 street executions carried out..

i got to admit that lately in the papers they have just been arresting drug dealers, shame the police have to go back to executing them again just cos taskin says so, i feel pretty sure that the police would rather arrest a drug dealer than have to execute them in the street as they had to last time round.

still taskin saw he got away with it last time and im sure he will get away with it this time..

hmmmm. reading though the thread here it seems to me that english teachers cant speak thai, now obviously being an english teacher means u have basically reached the apex of the english language.

so why cant you learn to speak thai? have all english teachers lost the ability to learn another language? are they really proper teachers?or maybe in previous times they had low end jobs with low qualifications like shelf stackers at the local mart, or low civil servant jobs like in the tax dept, i just cant understand why these supposedly highly qualified and supposedly intelligent teachers cannot learn to speak the local language.

learning thai isnt that hard

ok first you got to shorten the inlet pipe that goes into ur well by about 6 inches. next you need a tank and a main filter, so then ur sucking from the well and sending it thru ur main filter into the tank, 1,000 liter stainless tank 8,000baht, main filter from sukimvit 18,000baht. the shop is just past the orphanage on the same side, now u need another auto pump if ur tank isnt high enough to feed ur house, also if u want to drink this water u will need another filter for the drinking water tap, homepro and lotus have a good selection...
