Sorry to question your perfect knowledge but I have the paperwork to "prove" it was 19 around 18 months ago. I know this because I placed a deposit on a condo in BKK when the rate was around 26.5 and when I had to settle on completion of the project the rate was in the 19's which effectively cost me an additional $30,000AUD for the the condo after exchange.

That's exactly right! I'm sure my uncles (British) who died fighting in Europe pre 1942 are so happy that the Yanks came and saved the world. I've never met an American here yet that wasn't full of their, or their countries self importance. I often ask why if their country is so perfect that they left?

I asked the same question on this forum about a month ago.

Went to one of the many clinics on Soi 53 (Neunplebwan - spelling?), walked in the door, told the receptionist I needed two, one for car and one for motorcycle. 2 minutes later walked out the door after she filled out the forms, rubber stamped them and signed them. 60 baht each. No doctor, no check up. If you can walk you can drive. No need for them to be from a hospital and absolutely no problems using them the next day to get licences.

And now let the back peddling begin!

As the title says looking for a medical clinic on the dark side so I can get a certificate for my drivers licence. Basically a walk in walk out rubber stamp exercise. Not something I've consciously looked for when driving in or out of the Maprachan area. A search only revealed posts referring to west of Sukhumvit. I really want to avoid the city while all this water sh_t is going on.

Any recommendations?

most other atm's from other thai bank in thailand can not recognice that security chip at the moment and do not work.

Exactly right. While security may have been improved they are a pain in the ass trying to get your money especially when Bangkok Bank ATM's are a rare species. Time to change banks....
