Keerati Ratchano, director-general of the Foreign Trade Department, said this week that his department is now readying measures to comply with the Commerce Ministry’s ban on the import of used cars for personal use.

The directive, which was announced in July, comes into effect on December 10 and aims to reduce air pollution and improve safety on the roads.

“After December 10, all used vehicles imported for personal use will be confiscated and destroyed immediately,” he said. “There will be no auction of confiscated cars like in the past,

This is just the BLAH BLAH BLAH what officials tell here almost every day.

My information is that Thais who lived out of Thailand and had there a car registered on their name for more as 1,5 years they can import one (this) car. But they need a import license.

Same for farangs who live here. They can still import ONE car for personal use if they moved to Thailand.

Both must pay import tax up to 300%.

This is not worth the hassle and money.

600 dogs being taken care for in shelter, 350 more fed on the streets (if I understood correctly). I would guess your dogs are treated well, so maybe less medical expenses. Then there's gas, vehicles, water, and maintaining a facility for that many dogs. It's not a simple 'per head' count.

So let it be 12.000 THB/day, but this is are $900 different daily!!!
    $27.000/month. And this smells fishy.

I was writing about the LED lights--not bulbs...... Quote"I didn't think many people used light bulbs now"..

The standard LED light in Global House that sits flat against the ceiling was 6 months ago when I brought 22 of them 110 baht each---As I wrote you can for a bit more, & get voice activated ones.

    50,000 hours

Many LEDs have a rated life of up to 50,000 hours. This is approximately 50 times longer than a typical incandescent, 20-25 times longer than a typical halogen, and 8-10 times longer than a typical CFL. Used 12 hours a day, a 50,000 bulb will last more than 11 years. Used 8 hours a day, it will last 17 years!  Bulbs.com

My experience is that LEDs not last long!!! From 12 that I bought 2 years ago only 4 still working now. The same with LED Flood Lights. Only 2 of 4 still works. The onliest long lasting lights are FLUORESCENT LAMPS.

trump and his sycophants are a total disgrace to the principles of democracy trying to disenfranchise millions of US voters. Thank God trump will be removed from power 20/01/21, Another four years of the trump ideocracy had a real potential to be ruinous for the Western world's stability.

What will Trump do and say if on the 14th december a lot of his own repulicans vote for Biden. I'm sure that a lot republicans not stand anymore behind Trump and his lies.

And from CCN of all places.

And yes, withholding information is a lie.

    Thanks for this.

But this report ultimately only reflects that no one was prepared for such a virus outbreak. Just like there will always be someone who doesn't share important information. Out of whichever reasons. But no government can do anything about it if information is withheld from it.

And even if the number of infected people was downplayed, everything that became known about the virus was published anyway. And that was the important thing. Unfortunately, most countries have acted completely differently than the Chinese had shown. And that's the crux of the matter. So many people around the world would NEVER have been sick if their governments had acted like the Chinese.

I don't want to know what the world would be like if the virus broke out in the US.

You can say what you want about China, but they have the virus outbreak under control. Most other countries do not. That says it all already!!!

Do you don't want to think about, why it is so? The most countries done the wrong things to fight against it and Trump only want to give the bad ass card to china because him and his GOV self made it bad. They just need a scapegoat for their own mistakes.

From my reading of those various links, none of them appear to say anything definitive about just where/how the virus first moved from animals to humans.

Right!!! And about this you can read ONLY from TRump that this is a chinese virus. All other countries not speak about it because it's not 100% sure.

That the china gov  forbid their doctors to talk about it is a normal way. It gives different reasons to forbid it.
I'm sure the most countries have their own rules how outbreaks must be reported and who inform the public.

You can find enough reasons in internet now how different doctors can see the virus and talk nonsens to the public.

Anyhoo, you go on believing things that come out of the CCP’s mouth. A regime that sensors information and imprisons, or even disappears, people who don’t follow the party narrative.

Wrong!!! I not believe the things that come out of the CCP. But I inform me from different sources and try to find the facts and not the lies. ????

But I understand and it's ok for me that other people can think different!!!
