  1. I was at Banglamung Hospital today for my knee, neck, and back problems. I just had seven X-rays done, as my last ones were done over five years ago. Two X-rays per knee, one for my back, and two for my neck. I paid 2,990 THB for all the X-rays. My neck vertebrae also have osteoarthritis, and they don't want to give me any injections. I should do neck exercises.

They gave each of my knees a cortisone injection (three small vials of cortisone per knee).

I paid 880 THB for this, including the processing fee.

And in two weeks, I'll be getting hyaluronic acid injections, which last at least six months and cost 8,000 THB per injection.

    I hope this really helps.

Hello, I received this Philips  surge protector https://www.amazon.com/Protector-Protection-Indicator-SPP3461WA-37/dp/B076JJ3N1T?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.jwnEsPN7UbE789oICqyC01G7My1Zsipcx5VBtJQLqOBEGS23cpAdzuyUH9Ly87bwMoD6fOrNB84yv6Mj3yvfi__jvZ9rW6PMWKxgqe9_7MGkR_O0QbzP2oti7HH41E18l_kde0i_0YXnU1aCizFo8ky8

but I think it's suitable for USA, not for Thailand

what do I have to do to use it here ( converter, which one ? ) ?

    Thanks

I have the red surge protector now for 2.5 years in my consumer box together with a RCBO and never ever had a damaged item. Before I must changend every 3-4 month the power adapter of my DSL modem or fiber modem about thunder strokes.

  3. Almost everything in the supermarket business is in the hands of two Thai families. So there's NO REAL competition.

CP Group: Makro, Lotus, 7/11, CP shops, ...
    https://www.cpgroupglobal.com/en/about-cp/business-lines

Central Group: Central Department Store, Tops, Big C, Go Wholesale, Thaiwatsadu, PowerBuy, ....
    https://www.centralgroup.com/en/home

So I believe it will never give a price fight between them.

And they do it the same as the Supermarket chains in EU & USA. If a holiday come the prices gone up.

Police are invisible except beach road looking for tea money, they should be out in force with drink driving checks

Tea money from stupid ridocolus farangs who not wear helmets, drive against the rules, not have valid driving licenses, rampage drunken in the roads, vaping in the roads, ...?

This TEA MONEY which THEY pay in the policestation are registered FINES and NOT TEA MONEY.
For some people, specialy some farangs, they should triple the fines or use the fines from their home countries or take it easy 1. day in the monkey house and next day bring them to court.

Than they maybe learn the lesson to play by the rules. If they are not to arrogant and stupid. 😉

    5k.

    Just pay it.

    It's a very small amount.

Then pay what is owed to the water company.

    Or

Get  the cops and lawyers involved.

That will cost you a lot more in the long run.

    TIT.

Ps, Also waiting two years to sort this out , was just stupid. :coffee1:

  6. It reads like a tall tale from a drunk Brit. He is 1,000% a completely innocent person!!! Hahaha...

But when I read his story, I understand it like this:

    1. He comes to Thailand and starts drinking and does what many Brits do and shows bad behavior.

    2. In the evening he goes out and drinks even more alcohol. Drinks all his money and destroys an entrance sign on the way home.

    3. When he tries to escape, he is stopped by security guards and then arrested by the police for his aggressive behavior.

    4. He was completely drunk and aggressive and was then locked in a cell to sober up and was released hours later after paying a fine and compensation.

    5. On the way back to the AirBnB he drank alcohol again and arrived there completely drunk again.

    6. His AirBnB then kicked him out because of his bad and aggressive behavior.

    7. He then reacted even more aggressively and threatened the employees there.

    8. While packing his suitcase, he forgot some of his belongings while drunk. Maybe in his room or maybe in a bar.

    9. He then again threatened the staff aggressively, who then called the police and arrested him again.

    10. Because he continued to behave aggressively at the police station while drunk, he was handcuffed to the bars for the safety of the other people in the cell.

    11. At last no one took his ATM away because without PIN you can't take money out. Also how him paid another room and the ticket back to UK?

It's a real crazy story. I dont know I'm right or wrong, But I'm sure him known ítself at best how it was in real.

I've been looking into buying something off of aliexpress, and now it seems all the sellers are wanting to charge " customs fees and import fees" on the order.  I've never paid these before on any products off of aliexpress/alibaba.

Is this some sort of new scam all the sellers are trying to put over on buyers?

Yes, Thai custom started to charging it. So the chinese sellers charge it additional and ship the items direct to your home.

Sure, this is an important aspect. If you build or buy a house next to a farm, chickenfarm, ... it's your own fault.

I used to buy a lot of stuff off Ali express up until a couple of years ago. They seemed to change, delivery prices were silly so I gave them away. Products always been hit and miss I know but were ok if you were careful. I was looking for something this morning and all seems ok again. Anyone still using them?

I used them a lot too before. But after Lazada & Shopee was on the market I bought almost everything there. Also the shipping time of Aliexpress items gone up from 10 days to 14 days before Covid-19 to now 14 days -1 month let me buying almost everything on Lazada & Shopee.
