What an arrogant bloody-minded person that Suthep is showing himself to be. God/Buddha save Thailand if this bloke and the people that support him get their way and introduce any kind of unelected "council" to run the country. Then there will be a bloodbath. While the rest of the developing world is seeking more power to the people - including a couple of countries on Thailand's doorstep - this nutter believes less power for the people is the way forward. Yes, he has followers. But so does David Icke.
You seem to be very much familiar with Thai and world politics and politicians, so as a simple Farang, I have to respect your opinion. Also wish God/Buddha to save you from never being an "arrogant bloody-minded person" like Suthep.

I would advise you to read previous posts on TV.

Middle eastern airlines have cheap fuel, plus invariably employ staff from cheap countries. 710 new aircraft? Hope alot of these are fuel efficient Dreamliners? Tough call for Thai. Anyone got good ideas for them?
Perhaps most simply THAI could bring in talent from outside Thailand to 'shake things up' a bit. Most other competitive airlines do so in their exec lineups.
But....they are getting Wi-Fi....what else do you want?

The thing that strikes me about this story is that the 10 year old girl was WILLINGLY going to meet her uncle and have sex. Last year I met a woman in Sari Buri who told me her 10 yr old sister belonged to a group call The Young F**kers Club. This was a group of about 10-12 "members", all between the ages of 9-12, who prided themselves on how many men - not boys - MEN - they could have sex with on a weekend, with a falang being scored as "bonus points". And they all carry cameras or smart phones to provide photos as proof on Monday at school.
Surprises me that you did't like that the 10 year old girl was WILLINGLY going to meet her uncle and have sex, but the story you heard from the woman in Sari Buri!!!!!!! passed you as normal practice.
Another one, for my collection, of unfounded stories told in Thailand by.......... Sari Buri women or men!

I (a very tall and hard to miss farang) was with my Thai wife observing amongst the protest crowd at Asoke for a while this afternoon, and didn't have a bad word or any ill behavior directed at me or us.
Instead, just the opposite, a middle-aged Thai husband and wife walking near us stopped to politely ask my wife if her husband knew what was going on with Thai politics right now. And she truthfully replied that I was much better-informed on such things that she is/was.
I was at Asoke too and only experienced warmth and friendliness from the Thais.
I did read on Twitter, however that a woman at Silom started chanting "Shinawatres out, foreigners out. Thailand is for Thais.". Hopefully an isolated case.
Must have been my ex.

I was just wondering what happens to the bail money the courts charge?
Are they all given to the ministry of justice or part to the ministry and part lining their pockets?
Either they are called BIB or government officials.
Does anybody know the truth?

Thanks for the set pictures, excellent, wonder if they need extra's?
I think you read the other post on TV that they are paying the farang extras 2,000 baht a day while the Thais get 700 baht.
But that's life!

Wonder if Ms Nuntawan is trying to get a job with TAT??
I the present year both the GDP and export numbers have been revised on a weekly basis!!
And what's wrong with TAT?
They supply us with accurate figures, once a week.
Your problem if you don't believe them.
I do....as I also believe what Yingluck, Sutherp and all the other monkeys say.

Anti-anxiety pills in a Thai prison?
What on earth for?
I thought these are holiday places for Thai people to relax!

Please Yingluck...shut it and try to do something constructive with your country.
