Hi,

I live near Mae Sai,Chiang Rai.

I have been getting 15 day visa extensions for longer than I care to admit.

I just got another one today but the guy told me "next time please make a visa"

and he marked a 4 with a circle round it on my stamp.

This happened to me before so I went to Vientiane,they told me no more Tourist visas from here for you.

i used to be up on the visa scene but I'm out of date these days,

I will do some research on this site but if anybody could talk me through this it would make things a lot easier.

As I see it I have 4 options-1 Visa run to Cambodia,

-2 vIsa run to Malaysia

-3 Visa run to Yangoon

-4 Overstay,

I'm planing a trip back to Europe in June and I'm thinking that any of these visa runs will cost me 20,000Bht,

flying first Chiang Rai/Bangkok and then on to where ever and back.

So the big question is..........is it still cool to overstay and go to Bangkok Airport with 20,000Bht a few hours before the flight in June.

I'll leave it at that and go researching on this site but any info that might save me searching would be most appreciated.

I rang about the samsung printer and they were sold out.

But the guy said that if we buy a laser printer we had better buy it near

so they can teach us how to change the toner.

I don't know if that's true.if it's not i will go with the BROTHER on the thaivisa website.

I also don't know how to find the thaivisa sponcer website.

THAY HAVE A SAMSONG LASER PRINTER,ML1670,BLACK AND WHITE,

MANUAL,CONNECTS TO HIGH SPEED USB2.0,

1670BHT PLUS TAX AND POSTAGE,

HOW DOES THAT SOUND,WILL THAT DO THE JOB THROUGH MY LAPTOP,

Hi,

I need to buy a printer but know nothing about them.

I want to use it to print work sheets for teaching

(all black ink with no pictures)

In the 7\11 catalog there is a CANNON IP2770 printer for 1,560 Bht.

Is this good enough for the job does anybody know.

Sorry to have to use the forum for such a simple question but the nearest farang

is 80ks away.

I will have to change the tryes on my D-Tracker 125 soon.

It has racing tyres and i want to change to something better on the odd dirt track i need to go down.

i don't want "off road" tyres but "all terain" or even normal road tyres would help.

I was also thinking of changing the wheels.i live on the mountain and going downhill on a wet road it has no traction.So maybe wider wheels would help.I'm not concerned about impreving the apperance.

Does anyone know if this is possable or what's available on the market.

what is there already is a 3 plug socket with an extension lead and another 3 plugs pluged into that.

all i'm doing is changing the 3 plug socket for a 6 plug socket.

i will be running the same amount of plugs.

i really aprechiate everybodys concern and advice though.if there is confusion this time i will take your

advice and get an elactrician.

don't worry guys,

i'm just changing an electric socket that takes 3 plugs to one that takes more.

then there is a light swich that i want to move,so i'm going to put a conector on it,

a lenght of wire and screw it back on the wall.

i want to learn this because every room i have ever rented in thailand doesn't have enough

sockets and the light swiches are not near the bed.

i forgot to mention that one wire is black and one is grey.

the black seems to be live,

so,any body know can i buy the above or can i use normal wire and fitting

i'm doing some very simple wiring in the house.

changing sockets(power points) and moving light switches.

so first i took apart what was there already.

thet wire was not like anything i've seen before,it was solid,

like a thin copper rod not like the woven fibers i've seen in europe.

do you know what i mean.so now i need to buy,

1-some more of it,

2-some conectors,

3-new sockets and switches thet will go with it.

i thought i might post here to save me some confusion in the hardware store.

I need to fly to Ireland but I live up the mountains.

Any one know a travel agent I can contact in Chiang Rai and order a ticket over the phone.

I'm not looking for a bargain .Or should i fly to bangkok and buy the ticket there.

Hi,

I live 5 hours drive drom Chiang mai.

I have a feul injection problem and the bike has to go to the main dealers.

I'm going to have to ship my bike down to them and have them tell me how much it will cost to fix it.

I feel like I'm writing a blank check.you know what I mean.

Does any one know what thay are like to deal with,because feul injection parts are expensive.

All advice appreciated.

I beg to differ my freind,

I have the model in your picture.there is another d-tracker available,

It has KLX wheels and suspension and is about 10k cheaper.

It took me along time to realise that.

Maybe a KLX rear shock would fit.

Or does anybody have any ideas.It goes to the main dealers soon

I forgot to mention that there are 2 d-tracker 125s

One is offroad style and the othe is a road bike.

I've got the roadbike style.

Please forgive my ignorance,

Who are YSS and what is a pre-load.

I'm 60kg with a bad back that feels the bumbs.

The bike has to go to the main dealers anyway,

to fix the feul injection.

Does it sound like i should ask them to soften the pre-load

before I invest in new shocks.

I presume the front shocks cannot be softened.

Can the original shock be adusted or do I have to buy a new one.

If so about how much would it cost.

Does anybody know,because I haven't a clue.

MY D-TRACKER 125cc HAS STARTED TO ACT STRANGELY GOING DOWN HILL.

ON THE FLAT OR GOING UPHILL IT'S FINE BUT WHEN I GET TO THE TOP OF THE HILL AND CLOSE THE TROTTLE,INSTEAD OF THE REVS GOING DOWN THE ENGINE REVS UP FOR A FEW SECKONDS AND CUTS OUT.

OR IF I'M GOING DOWN HILL,IN GEAR,THE ENGINE CUTS OUT THE SECOND I TOUCH THE CLUTCH TO CHANGE GEAR.

THE THAI MECHANIC SAYS THAT THE D-TRACKERS HAVE COMPLICATED FEUL INJECTION

SYSTEMS AND YOU HAVE X-RAY IT AT THE MAIN DEALERS TO SEE IG THERE IS A PROBLEM OR NOT.

THIS MEANS SHIPPING THE BIKE TO CHIANGMAI.

DOES ANY BODY RECKOGNISE THESE SYMTEMS AND CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVICE.

IF SO IT WOULD BE MUCH APPREACATED.
