  1. Yes...A.I.B won't do any thing to help.

It's a new policy for certain countries including Thailand and the U.S.

I would change my bank if Iwas at home.

I thought it was bad enough when the brought it down to 250 euros

    a few months ago.

I will have to see how expensive it is getting money over the counter

if you can still do that.

Some one said B.k.k banks.......what does B.K.K. stand for.

Thanks for all the prompt returns...

  2. My bank has told me that',for security reasons, it has put a limit of 100 euros on a.t.m's that don't have chip and pin technology.

Thus is a really small sum and the A.E.O.N machine that i uasually use doesn't have it.Neither do any of the other machines i tried.

So now .....whats the new best way to get my monthly euros ....

Before,it was A.E.O.N as they didn't chargr for an foreign account.

any ideas on what a.t.m machines have chip and pin technology or any other advice welcome

  3. hi,

on the brochure for the d-tracker125cc it says,

"35mm inverted fork has settings and stroke

desinged for both road and motard use."

how would you interpret the word "settings"

i would have thought that that meant you could

adjust the forks to make them harder or softer,

or does it mean that the forks are fixed at a

setting that is good on good and bad roads.

i just bought one and would love to know,

thanks in advance for any help.

  4. hi,

    i just bought a d-tracker new,

it said on the brochure that it had inverted front forks

which could be set for on or off road use,

the mechanic who sold it said that it was set for road use and if i changed it

before 12,000kms i would loose the garentee,

aparently the back shock can be adjusted too,

does anybody know anything about this,

is it a big job and will it make alot of diference

because now it's way too hard for offroad use,

    thanks

  5. o.k. thanks for the advice,

  8. hi,

i'm being forced by financial circumstances to sell my car and by a bike,

but my back is a bit dodgy, and i live up a mountain.

    what bike should i buy.

i need a bit of power for the mountain, comfortable sitting position and soft suspension,

maybe a scooter or an easy rider,

i saw a honda phantom, very comfortable but it looked to heavy to go up the mountain,

200cc should be eneough it's just the frame that looks heavy,

anywone know how they are on the hills,

i saw a picture of a kawasaki boss 175 it looks faster because it's lighter

but i haven't ever driven either of them

as for scooters, something a bit more comfortable than the yamaha nova,

or maybe i could make it more comfortable, change handle bars, seat and wheels

i see the honda pcx 125cc,looks comfortable but maybe not eneough power for the hills

so anywone know which is faster honda phantom or kawasaki boss,

or can recomend a chopper of tha sise(150-250cc) that has a bit of power,

I don't want to go up to 400cc

or in the scooter department a 175-250cc scooter.

i cant afford to go for the 500cc range

    or can i

    MY BUDGET IS 60,000bht approx

    thanks in advance

  10. hi,

i'm new to computers and am looking for some help with a very simple matter,

i hope it's not too simple for this forum but i have a problem that's driving me mad

because i'm new to typing i type looking down at the keyboard,

but if i open more than one website at a time the screen changes websites while i'm typing,

    you know what i mean.

while i'm waiting for something on one website i go to another but when the first website has

done what i asked the screen changes and i'm typing on the wrong website.

is there any way to stop this automatic changing,

if so,would somebody please take the time to tell me how,

and i will get off this forum and leave it to the experts

there are no other farangs where i live,

    so i can't ask anywone,

    thanks

  11. Op if you have all the paperwork and ALL import taxes are paid. eg the 3% and import taxes. then take it on down to the local Transport dept and see what happens. Not sure you can call an FTR223 a big off road bike :)

i wastold 55k but i haven't checked with the tax office,

i have all the papers maybe i sold check myself,

  12. Some pictures of the Diper 125cc. I cannot remember the price, but they were surely not expensive, and are surely a bit bigger then the KSR 110 or the Sachs KickAss

Also.. Dont see any plates or lights tho.. Isnt the point road legal ??

    yes,the point is legal.second hand is o.k.

i'm mot sure that the prices people are quoting are with or without plates,

but thanks fot all the help,

i have a honda ftr223cc,i'm told reg plates are 55,000 baht

  13. i have a lovely big off road but it's got no reg,

apparently it's worth 45k,it's got the papers for reg

    not just an ordinary invoice,

if i sold it for 45,000 what couls i buy that would be totally legal for that price,

i see honda sonic off roads but do honda sell them like that or are they remodeled,

if so the insurance won't pay in the case of an accident

and you have to bribe a policeman every now and again,

i see yamaha make a nice 125cc but would you get one with a reg on my budjet.

    all sugestions wellcome,

    thanks
