  1. Given the enormous amount of one-liner posts that add nothing at all to a thread that appear every day I don't know why this guy is being singled out.    :D

Because if you are a one-liner and you do not add anything to the thread, you should at least try to be funny.

    I said try.

    Not easy.

But that one is not funny at all,... :o:D

  2. Anyway, My Girlfriend has a Masters in Science and I have never seen her wear a skirt outside of University functions.. So I think we can safely put KronbergTHs silly comments to rest now./SM

I think it is a matter of level of beauty whether a (Thai) woman wears skirt or not... :D

    Starting trolling.

    A bit,... :o:D

  3. Try this website: http://www.retiringinmalaysia.com/aboutus.html

This is for those who wants to retire in Malaysia.

It is called: Malaysia, My Second Home.

I for one like Malaysia a lot.

I have been going there regularly for the last 15 years.

    Nice country with nice people.

Very friendly and most of them speaking english.

    Quite cheap.

Actually, I do not think it it more expensive than Thailand.

I like Thailand but I sure would not mind living in Malaysia.

  4. Whay don't they just play the commercials instead of breaking the programs.

    Advertising money is not infinite.

And in Thailand, they still prefer some of it to go to the "official" channels.

    For obvious reasons.

And maybe they think that more of it is going to these channels if not allowed to be seen on UBC channels.

  5. I have a few friends in Europe who have been robbed quite a few times.

    My parents included.

They left their garage unlocked for a few hours and whatever was in the garage was stolen,...

Computers stealing is very, very common in Europe and it happened two times already in my company headquarters.

Here in Thailand, I was never stolen anything.

    And I live in Bangkok.

    Am I lucky? :o

  6. instead of listening to their innerself more or using a better form of birth control instead of the pray it doesn't happen method

Do you know the biscuit box method, Boo?

Works only if you're partner is taller.

You put you girlfriend on a biscuit box while you (the boy) is standing on the floor.

A bit akward but not impossible.

When you husband/partner is ready to release his millions potential babies, he just knock the box and the girl goes down.

    Works each time,... :D:o

  7. I know a few teachers from a very well known english school.

I can even say British school :o

And they get quite a few freebies from Thai students.

    But these are really freebies.

It does not affect the way they rate the students.

But of course, the students are "adults" (18+).

And I'm not sure the students expect anything back.

    Just the experience, I guess,...

  8. I submitted a story last year that amused me , even the Mighty stick commented on it's ironic content per se. Dana's Thailand sometimes makes me laugh or cringe..

    My story

Heres a link if anyone wants to see what an arse I was back then , these days I am a very wise idiot... :o

    Impressive, Chonabot.

    Pretty impressive.

I do not think many people would have posted the link,... :D:D

  9. Personally i just go straight to the marriage !!

Almost impossible to get an italian tourist visa.

How many times have you been married? :o

I do not know about the US but I recently asked for a Shengen countries visa for girlfriend.

    She does not work anymore.

I was asked the following documents:

    - the form filled up

    - a medical insurance (compulsary since 01/06/04)

    - a sponsor letter (one official sponsor letter signed by the consul, i.e. one stamped one)

    - Copy of a pay slip but a bank statement will do.

I also gave copy of the air ticket but not sure it was necessary.

    They asked her:

    - Where did she meet me?

    - How long has she been knowing me?

    - Where did she work before?

Got the visa in two days.

But I'm sure being with her helped.

    Going through the major hurdle.

The girl from the Embassy taking the application,...

  10. You are all digging rather deep for a new topic here. Perhaps a new hobby beckons coz this one is too silly for words.

I have to agree with Dr.PP, this is really a silly one.

    But to answer your question.

The 7/11 at the corner of soi Nana.

For the same reason that you like the one next to Patpong.

Selling life saving items when you REALLY need them,... :D:o

  11. Going to the office this morning, I tried to get an idea of the percentage of girls wearing skirts as compared to the ones wearing trousers.

And I have to say that on the 20 minutes ride to the office, I saw about 2/3rd wearing trousers and 1/3rd wearing skirts.

But in my office building, this is about 90% wearing skirts and 10% wearing trousers,...

  12. Most of the farang girls I know wear trousers.

Most of the Thai girls I know wear dresses.

    Why is it so?

Old fashioned education for the Thai girls?

Easier and more comfortable for the farang girls to wear trousers, no education requirement?

But I have to say, this is changing in Thailand also.

Trousers are more common these days.

    At least in Bangkok.

For better or for worse,... :o

  13. We are not interested and you are warned not to repost.

I do not know what he posted.

    But speaking about low voice.

Do you change the way you speak, the tone of your voice with somebody from the opposite sex?

Or do you always speak the same?

As far as I'm concerned I'm "softening" my voice when talking to girls.

Especially in Thailand where the girls have a tendency to use a "soft" voice.

    Maybe it is just automatic.

You adapt the level and tone of your voice to the level of voice of the people you are talking to,...

  14. You must be in front of Bluecat by now :o

    I sent him off.

He should be back soon on the forum. :D

If I was Thai for 48 hours, I would organize a "talk" meeting with the Thai I know.

    As many as possible.

Talk to them for 48 hours.

    As one of them.

I'm sure it would help me understand them better.

  15. I'll take them both for a drink in this great place I found down the road called Cowboy, do you know it? Maybe you guys can meet us there. Me and my Mum will be there, we'll have a ball.

    A ping pong ball.

Try to catch it in your mouth ... you'll win a bottle of Sang Thip whisky.

Haven't been in Soi Cow Boy for quite sometimes also, it seems, Rod.

Ping pong balls are long gone.

    Or is it me?

    Are they back? :o

  16. I actually noticed quite a few times that strong alcohol beverages like whiskey, vodka,... were making the people meaner after drinking more often than "soft" beverages like beer.

Since it is the alcohol responsible for the mood enhancing, I do not really understand while it should happen.

Maybe it is just an impression.

  17. Hmm.

Don't I remember Axel drinking 6 Chang beers in his garden, a while ago,...? :o  :D

Bluecat, your phantasy is galloping. I am sitting in my bl**dy office, sipping a coke and after this posting rushing home to watch Formula 1. There is no garden, but a dog, a squirrel and Kh. wife.

The bliss of family life. :D

    PS: No Chang for me.

    Sorry, Axel.

My memory is not as good as it was.

    It was not you.

Watching farlungs who are totally without a clue, like me once. (Ok, that sounded kind of mean, but let's face it, a girl trying to walk into a temple in a bikini top is funny, almost as funny as the look on people's faces as their 'romantic' cycling trip through thailand meets Bangkok traffic, or the people who think that speaking english with an asian accent helps them be understood)

My, my, my, 6 beer Chang. No wonder, you like it here, cdnvic.

Remind me of the Frank Sinatra's saying, which I posted somewhere else on this forum before:

"I feel sorry for people who don't drink - because when they get up in the morning that's the best they will feel all day."
