  1. Took 32 hours for my friend to get approved. Was quicker than expected.
  2. Its actually not that difficult.. Or it wasnt that difficult...The insurance is a worldwide cover.. That is sufficient.
  3. Nobody seems to ask the obvious question. Why is the Thai e-pass website not ready yet. Today is 28th.and it stipulates to open on the 1.nov. Whats the purpose of that for the thousands of people that have ordered tickets to arrive between let us say around 1.st to 4th. Nov. They will not be able to get the pass. Why did they not open it last week for example. Hotels are getting a lot of cancellations now in the beginning of nov. also because of this.. Someone did not plan this in an efficient manner.
  4. A fit to fly test has not been a requirement the last one year out of Europe at least. To Thailand that is.. A pcr test 72 hours before was and still is a requirement.
  5. Grab a O visa and expand it inside thailand. Easier and it is also easier to get a 9 months insurance then than a year first hand.(if no covid insurance is needed qatar also has one that should work) However.. There is no requirement to insurance right now from inside thailand. There will be next year it is said. If you apply from your embassy it is a requirement , but those two differences does not fall in line right now.
  6. Quoting myself here.. Remember to send off an email to AIG which they use to get the policy.. The ticket alone is not enough proof of insurance..
  7. Actually this was not a problem , but i might have put the question a little wrong.. I went to a daytrip to both phang nga area(koh yao) and phi phi.. and returned the same day.. Like you say.. overnight is probably a different thing, but day trips.. not overnight trips where ok.. All this nonsense is over now anyway.. or in a week. ????
  8. The Emirates insurance works fine when applying for visa. Its been tested first hand. Both covid and medical.
  9. Remember.. The visa has nothing to do with the thailand pass.. What visa you have is your own decision. Most people can travel for example on exemption stamp which is technically not a visa.. That doesnt matter.. But you need to pre register online to get the qr code like in many other countries.. USA for example.
  10. Got nothing to do with the length of the visa.. That states you length of stay in Thailand. You will of course be given 60 days extendable for 1900 baht with 30 days more.. Remember.. Visa "months" is always 30 days not 31 that most believe...
  11. I see your point.. , but the argument will not be like this.. It will be.. " I booked 14 days since it was mandatory to do so under the law. Now the law has changed and it now says 7 days. I intend to use the new law which is grandfathered as well.". Its not a problem really.. However.. The sole reason must be to rent a house or return to your own home earlier or in the case of few.. Travel on to another province, but then you would have to prove that booking first.
  12. Aha.. So you say it is actually 7+7 exactly. meaning you can only go to 2 places.. I am not so sure about that.. I thought you where allowed.. ok.. Maybe you can only go to a day trip to phi phi from phuket, but can not stay there one night.. have to stay 7 right?
  13. Yes.. my understanding was simliar.. Or.. I thought that .. for example to go to Krabi from Phuket would require nothing on exit and nothing in Krabi, but that IF you wanted to go back to Phuket it was required a rapid test only if you are fully vaccinated that all in the sandbox have to be anyway. If going to Bangkok.. I am not sure.. , but I do know a friend who drove from phuket to hat yai with no problems along the way. Only required a rapid test on reentry.. That said. The laws have a way of changing every week so one can not be sure.
  14. You do not need to be in the tambien ban(housebook). You only need to show a copy of owners tambien ban and his/hers ID. Also.. The most important. You need the rental contract. That should suffice. If not... Stay one night in a hotel and use that address.
  15. Nothing is closed in the south of the island except some 7vens and some family marts. Shops are open and so are restaurants. Drinks can be had in any supercheap or 7 eleven that is open.. When I think about it.. ALL supercheaps are open. Almost all hotels in the area are open too if i am not mistaken.
  16. No need to do that for the same reason ..... You just exit on night 7 to one other of the approved provinces. however. you need to plan it.. so you have pre booked hotels and show that. You have to stay in the sandbox for 14 days, but doe not have to stay more than a week the first place.. Then you can hop around in the sandbox.. Example. 7 days phuket, 3 nights phi phi, 2 nights koh yao, one night samui, and then 2 weeks in krabi.. but on day 14.. The hotel you have then... looks like krabi will issue a healt certificate from the authorities saying you are finished with the hurdle. Not difficult to understand. 7+7 .. i am guessing is misleading .. i could be wrong.. , but after 7 days.. there is no need to stay another 7 days another place.. but you have to stay the last 7 days inside the sandbox approved provinces. Clear.. as mud or?
  17. Kata, karon, Patong is more or less dead if anyone wonders. Chalong, Rawai and cherntalay have a decent fair numbers since people live there. Nobody or not many live in the first three areas.. Some of course.
  18. The answer to my question is now clear. Made on license and Zeneca demands they export a certain percent of it. If they do not they break the contract. Makes more sense.
  19. Much better indeed! No need for Bangkok and no need to stay in hotel more than the one hour sleep.
  20. I do not understand why they do not use some of the astra zeneca Siam Bioscience produce 15 milllion doses of a month. Better profit to sell it I guess...
  21. I have also heard so... It should do as it covers from you embark on your journey which could maybe be after you have locked your main door.
  22. If you fly Emirates it is included in the ticket. i did that and it was accepted for the COE. Also the medical insurance also included as part of the covid insurance is from AIG. It is exellent and like said included and valid until return date on the ticket.
  23. Tried them all.. They last a month.. Two times I have tried.. Problem is that either the engine gives up or the plastic cracks.. I recommend finding one with tempered glass and a more solid motor.
