  1. At the moment they're trying to make it yellower, hadn't you noticed? But I suppose all of those green Army camouflage tents are adding a verdant countrified air to the concrete jungle. Trouble is they erected most of them in the park where there's no shortage of greenery anyway. If where you're living right now is noisy, ugly and treeless, you could consider moving to an affluent area. But I suppose wanting to live in a cheap apartment and then expecting the surrounds to be pleasant is like wanting to have your cake and eat it.

Not necessarily so. I live in On-nut in a cheap, old, but nice apartment on the edge of the SaranNuch fresh market. Lots of greenery in all directions off my balcony away from Sukhumvit facing towards the south-east. Very quiet too.

  2. Kuhn Sommart Kunset is calling for the caretaker government to resign immediately en-masse. This leaves Thailand without a government. Who does he then propose step in immediately to govern? The Army? Suthep and his unelected People's Council? Prem and the unelected Privy Council? The King? the unelected Democrats? The UN (heaven forbid)?

There is no time or desire to hold more elections. Actions have consequences. Think through the consequence, Mr Kunset, and then propose the best solution to it for ALL of Thailand.

  3. I have been using hola.org a free, VPN, unblocker for over a year. I used it first on an excellent TOT/ADSL apartment system in Pattaya and now on a rather crappy WiFi unliimited use system in my apartment in Bangkok. As far as I know, there have been no problems for either system. If there are problems, I guess the system operator will either block you, just as they now block torrents on my current WiFi system, OR, they will ask you to stop using it.

  4. Get an appraisal of the going market price.

Set your asking price at 10% less.

Send email with picture, appraisal and asking price to every realtor operating in your area. Tell them if they sell the house within 60 days you will give them commission 1% higher than the going rate.

    Worked for me in Pattaya.

  5. I really hope Chalerm whips his ass - I know of no other country who would allow threats like these to go unanswered use water canon, baton rounds and gas and finish him off

I have not met a Thai yet who supports him - and that includes those who do not particularly like Ying or PTP - I think a strong, robust response would gain huge support from ordinary Thais

    but TIT etc.

Wow, you must not have met many Thais. Practically every Thai I've met or know supports the Anti-Government movement and Suthep. I would say that out of the hundreds of Thais in my network, perhaps only three or four support Thaksin and Yingluck. This includes Thais living in Thailand and The United States.

How many Thais have you met in North Thailand or Isaan?

  6. Viooz looks good but you gotta pay. Rather use YouTube or rent on Amazon Instant Video for the latest releases.

I've never been asked to pay on Viooz and I've found almost everthing I've looked for including current Academy Award nominees. The HD stream is quite good with hardly ever a buffering delay, which is really saying something for my otherwise slow WiFi connection in Bangkok. Makes me wonder, what is the catch?

  7. Old favourite of mine is "Lost Horizon/s" (1973) Last of the Hollywood Blockbuster Musicals. Music by Burt Bacharrach.

Full length but they have it in Parts 1 to......???

Since Google took over YouTube many full movies are now available. Use the word "all" in your Google search criteria for a full Youtube movie.

Beware!! Instead of finding a movie on YouTube you may find only a link to a non-YouTube site which could be the movie or an ad or a virus. Proceed with caution.

  8. "The CMPO will also press charges against any parties who continue to support PCAD financially, Mr. Tharit added."

Another clown........Is he going to prosecute all the yellow supporters that made donations on the streets?

And in which civilised country, people or organisations are prosecuted for making donations to a political party?

Let alone the hotels, and the toilets provided by the Bangkok authority.

They should have put Mr Tharit and Mr Chalerm to a lunatic asylum by now.

By what stretch of the imagination is PCAD a political party. Are they certified and licensed as a political party? If the hotels are are offering free rooms to them, they are breaking the law, just as much as the street people for making cash donations to a group of insurrectionists.

I don't feel that offering toilet use falls in the same category as hotel rooms and cash.

Tharit and Chalerm are enforcing the law. This does not make them lunatics.
