Thanks guys. Sent them on their way. Told them to print out their onward flights from bkk and have some cash.
ubonjoe . he's the expert, the rest just noise.

well blooded beef.they can smell blood a mile away.[rats]
for mice get a cat.
Just the presense of the cat will keep them away. They want to live.
Some don't, but we're talking vermin here.

Without any of the bigot comments. Some of the fees are arbitrary. It was probably just your good manners.
I went to one office, which I would never name. The first year I went there, I just complied with my policy and gave everybody there 100 baht.
There were 11 or 12 people. The following years, I couldn't make them take any. We get what we give. No more, no less.
This especially applies to the people who censor my comments and suspend me from TV. Because what I say goes over their heads.

Sir, Stick with what ubonjoe says and ignore all others. Bon Voyage.

I spoke with one of their sales people.............not too flexible.
My colleague and attorney, John Lewis. BKK - UK.
We have a fireplace which means we have money to burn (we pay for firewood.) Also central heat.
I would not burn any for Thai elite. Its a catch phrase that can't catch me.
Unlike many of the complainers about VISA, I enjoy the human interaction and I always have the Thai Tourist Police, if I need clarification.
Being an amazingly stupid foriegn person in Thailand, TTPD, have even helped me at the BigC. We also share laughing.

I would guess that they have remembered another easy way to make easy money, or another way to annoy a foreigner
or both
you're required to carry your passport or approved copies of same. guests have certain responsibilities beside crying.

You can trust ubonjoe. Though why don't you ask the lawyer?
-
You do not have to have a work permit to open a bank account. You just have to try different banks and different branches of the same bank.
Info for Bangkok Bank here: http://www.bangkokbank.com/BangkokBank/PersonalBanking/SpecialServices/ForeignCustomers/Pages/Openinganaccountnew.aspx
This is the answer man. If ubonjoe doesn't know, nobody does.
-
If you really care, you ask the lawyer.
-
go away, far far away. please.
-
The man who would know ubonjoe , did not reply to you.
Ask the lawyer. Otherwise, you're a young man, avoid Thai Visa.
-
is there a place to get the 30 extra days at the Airport without buying a airline ticket ?
No
You have to apply for the 30 day extension at an immigration office.
When you ask such a question, this is the source of correct answer. Ignore all others.

Many have faced these issues have have just gone back and forth between Cambodia and Thailand. Cambodia is or was US$350 a year for a residence visa and NO hassles, no visits to Thai embassies or consulates. Thailand use to be great.
You're used to be. Probably a never was.Thailand or anywhere on Earth, life is what we make it.

There is no limit on the number of tourist visa entries you can do.
ok thank you, just strange he took the time to do it, he looked one time thru all my passport pages, then again where he wrote numbers
but ok... thank you
The officer has to sit there for God knows how many hours. It is a good tactic to shake the bushes. He got you thinking.

To get the multiple entry non-o visa just requires the marriage certificate plus a copy. signed copies of the wife's house book and ID card. The fee for the visa is 5000 baht.
The costs add up, visa run each 90 days visa into Lao
There is another alternative a payment of around 16,000 can get a retirement visa
If interested I might be able to point you in the right direction, also does the 90 day report automatically, PM me
".....16,000 can get a retirement visa."
All above board, of course?
Another neither helpful nor intelligent reply
ubonjoe is the only one on this baord to pay any attention to. or ask the lawyer.
-
Thanks for replies was thinking more of say 3 month non o visa from neighbour country then if this can be extended here!!!!! And for how long can it be extended????? then do same again in pick up a new 3 month non o visa !!!! Have required monies and income but looking at alternatives as well cheers
Extensions of non-o visa entries are only done for one year.
If married to a Thai you can get one 60 day extension per entry to visit your wife.
This is the man to pay attention to.

again no ubonjoe. Put it in front of ask the lawyer. Without the rhetoric. Bad luck is no excuse for breaking the law.
-
ubonjoe would know , but he didn't comment.
Put it before ask the lawyer.
-
Yo Baht Man. Money talks, nobody walks.
Then just be respectful.

Seriously...if you cannot, or will not...go back home, then find a remote temple where the monks will take you in.
Seriously study the language and culture, don the robes and hair cut.
You will be well taken care of....and might even run across a monk with some ideas on how to get you out of the country (if need be).
I suppose they cross borders in vans....to laos and such.
Final option is to turn yourself in at your Embassy. They will get you home, but you will probably lose your passport, and never be allowed back in.
Not sure about this..but check on the internet for smaller sailing/cruise vessels that want a crew. You might get smuggled out...with room and board. Bring Pirate fighting kit.
The U.S. Embassy has been known to hold your passport as hostage, waiting to get there money repaid.
Think things through, you're not a child. Make better friends and don't burn bridges. The idea of going to a Temple is good one also.
