Trump says there are diplomatic talks; Iran says there are no talks. Given Trump's perchance for lying, I don't believe a word out of his mouth.
Q: How do you know of Donald Trump is lying?
A: His lip move.*** Trump delays strikes on Iranian power plants after ‘very good’ talks with Tehran
*** Iran responds: Iran’s foreign ministry said there was “no dialogue” between Tehran and Washington, state affiliated media reported, adding Trump’s statement was “part of efforts to reduce energy prices and buy time for the implementation of his military plans.” Iran had vowed to retaliate by striking energy targets around the Middle East.

Destroying civilian power plants can be unlawful.
Front the net…
Attacks become unlawful — and potentially war crimes — in several common scenarios involving power infrastructure:
1. The power plant/grid is a civilian object — If it does not make an effective contribution to military action (or if there is doubt, it must be presumed civilian), attacking it violates the prohibition on directing attacks against civilian objects (Additional Protocol I, Article 52; customary Rule 7). This is a war crime under the Rome Statute (Article 8(2)(b)(ii)).
2. Disproportionate harm — Even if it is a military objective, the expected incidental loss of civilian life, injury, or damage to civilian objects (hospitals, water supply, heating in winter, etc.) must not be excessive relative to the concrete and direct military advantage (Additional Protocol I, Article 51(5)(b); customary Rule 14). Widespread blackouts causing severe civilian suffering (e.g., lack of heat, water pumping, medical care) often fail this test. This can be a war crime (Rome Statute Article 8(2)(b)(iv)).
3. Primary purpose is to terrorize civilians — Attacks whose main aim is spreading terror among the civilian population are prohibited (Additional Protocol I, Article 51(2); customary Rule 2).
4. Starvation or denial of essential services — If the intent is to destroy/deny objects indispensable to civilian survival (not just military denial), it may violate rules against starvation as a method of warfare (Additional Protocol I, Article 54; customary Rule 54). Power infrastructure isn’t explicitly listed like food/water, but widespread, long-term deprivation of electricity (affecting water, heating, hospitals) can cross into this territory, especially if systematic.
5. Special case: nuclear power plants — These (and dams/dykes) have extra protection as “works containing dangerous forces” (Additional Protocol I, Article 56; customary Rule 42). They generally cannot be attacked even if military objectives, if it risks releasing dangerous forces and severe civilian losses. Violating this is a grave breach/war crime in many cases.
To be brutally honest, if Donald Trump were ever going to be “cooked,” he’s already served up more than enough material to warrant a full deep fry by now.
Shame the kitchen seems to be missing something as basic as functioning law enforcement.

What an absolutely “brilliant” way to rescue struggling Iranians from their oppressive leadership. Truly, more nations should line up and invite the US to “liberate” their citizens.
It seems the labels “developed country” and “first world” have taken on entirely new meanings. One has to wonder—have basic human ethics simply gone out of fashion?
President Donald Trump issued Iran with a 48-hour deadline to re-open the Strait of Hormuz, after which he says the US will "obliterate" Iranian power plants.
In peacetime, around 20% of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments passes through the strait, making it critical for global energy supplies.
Trump posted on his Truth Social platform at 23:44 GMT on 21 March, meaning Iran has until 23:44 GMT on 23 March (03:14 in Tehran on 24 March), to meet the US president's demand.

The Pattaya News says this.
Tourist Police and Pattaya City municipal officers quickly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they encountered a foreign man, estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old, with dark skin, possibly American based on his accent, who was entirely unclothed and exhibiting erratic, incomprehensible behavior while continuing to shout loudly. The spectacle frightened nearby residents and road users, many of whom feared he might become violent or pose a danger.

young chinese men walking with a woman. they walk down the middle of the sidewalks and expect everyone else to get out of their way. i lived in huai kwang for longer than i wished to and it was the same, as nine in ten of people walking down the street were native chinese working illegally in the area. but in that area the sidewalks are tiny, so was maybe excusable. but on the main streets of pattaya they are easily wide enough, but they still do the exact same thing. walk right down the middle without any consideration.
really overweight female russians and westerners. they do the same as the chinese men, but sometimes they are even worse, they actually veer towards you to make you move out of the way, even if it was not necessary. they also manspread on a baht bus taking up three seats that an average thai would take up.
can anyone please explain these c--nty cultural behaviors, or is that just the new modern world we live in now...

Oh, one thing this whole “war against Iran” has generously revealed — the absolute masterclass in storytelling the United States and its loyal entourage have been performing all along. Truly Oscar-worthy stuff.
Ah yes, the glorious “first world”, self-appointed, of course, strutting around as the enlightened few, noses held just high enough to miss reality entirely, while quietly needing a “lesser world” to keep the illusion alive. Because what’s superiority without someone to look down on, right?
And now comes Iran, rudely interrupting the script and forcing the so-called world leader to… reconsider sanctions? Fascinating. If they’re suddenly removable, one can’t help but wonder — what was the brilliant logic behind imposing them in the first place? A hobby? A tradition?
“Kiss the hand you cannot bite” suddenly feels less like wisdom and more like foreign policy doctrine.
And honestly, the real mystery remains: did actual, thinking human beings really cast votes for someone like Donald Trump — or was that, too, part of the grand performance?

People walk on treadmills for more than 30 minutes and either play videos up loud or talk loudly to someone.
People who walk around the gym and loudly talk to someone on the phone as though they own the joint.
People who sit at a machine - do a set - think for a minute - watch a video or play on their phone for a few minutes - ponder the universe for a while again - and do a second set .. sometimes repeated for many sets. Mainly young people and mainly when I only have that machine to go for my workout.
Not such a a big deal but not all that keen with people videoing too which seems to happen more in Thailand .. often it's a cutie so no so bad ..
Agree 100% - This scenario at the gym I've noticed in another 1 or 2 countries too! And the best scenes were selfies and video calls while in the swimming pool - a nuisance to people who want to swim seriously!
Then... In the BTS, Metro blocking the entrance while face in the screen.... this too is International!
Falling off cliffs, getting knocked down by trains... all due to this phone!
I guess, this is something we have to get used to!

There is an answer to the question on The Guardian
‘A very dangerous person’: alarm as Pete Hegseth revels in carnage of Iran war.
rash and bellicose, he sounded more like a cartoon bully than a sombre statesman. “Death and destruction from the sky all day long,” Pete Hegseth, wearing a red, white and and blue tie and pocket square, bragged to reporters at the Pentagon near Washington. “This was never meant to be a fair fight, and it is not a fair fight. We are punching them while they’re down, which is exactly how it should be.”

War Abroad, Pain at Home: Is US Still in Charge of This Conflict?
in Political Soapbox
It is incredible that the US ever allowed a character like this become its President. Was the US intelligence services so naive? And the ordinary American - was this the best that they could think of to voted for?
What is the real story?
