  1. Hahaha, yes, of course I have applied, but how do you think I entered the country this time? With a TOURIST VISA. Consequently, I am still in Thailand on that TOURIST VISA and have applied for the non-O retirement visa whilst still on the first 60 days of that visa. That 60 days expires on July 12th and as I have not yet had my non-O approved, I will be extending my TOURIST VISA 30 days. I honestly don't know how much clearer I can be.
  2. I told you that I was currently on a tourist visa, which can be extended 30 days. I also told you that I was applying for a non-immigrant O (I wrongly put O-A) visa in country at the Kalasin office. Nothing confusing there. I was not asking for advice on how to go about getting the O visa, I have already made the application. All I was asking was if anybody had a similar experience of having a visit and how long they waited after that for the visa approval. You clearly haven't had this experience and instead have chosen to give unwanted advice. Thanks anyway, perhaps another member might have the answer.
  3. Unfortunately not. However, I will be going back there to get the 30-day extension on my current visa, so I can always ask...
  4. My funds have been over 800k for years! I am trying to find out if anybody else has gone the 'local route' for O (retirement) visa application and can tell me how long they waited for approval after the 'visit'. Thanks again
  5. Yes, thanks for editing that. And yes, Form TM.86, paperwork accepted and we had the visit yesterday, no issues. I've had a KBank account for many years, and a credit card for 10 years. I was married, back in the day!
  6. I have applied for a visa based on retirement, not marriage. No, I am not married. I came in this time on a 60+30 Tourist Visa.
  7. I am living in Kalasin Province and chose to apply for my non-resident O visa at the Immigration office in Kalasin town. As I am living with my girlfriend, we needed to provide the 'happy snaps' of us outside the house (as per a marriage visa) and wait for a visit from immigration to confirm. I do appreciate that different provinces may have slightly different requirements and so jump through the hoops as required. My question is, has anybody had a similar experience, and can you tell me how long I should expect to wait from the visit to having the visa issued? Thanks
  8. Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right... If you insist on staying (or god forbid) living in a 'high turdist' area, expect the (frankly obvious) consequences to price, quality and attitude that your God given right feels it deserves. As one of a mere handful (singular) of farang in our chosen spot, the idea of getting ripped off is risible, and pointless. If you insist on hanging about in the 'authentic' (bwahaha) spots, expect silly prices and <deleted>e quality. I have no response to your reference to online markets, idiots do as idiots will...
