  1. Anyone changed up any new £5 notes recently? I had £500 in new £5 last October and I couldn't find a bank in the Issan area to change them. Do they accept them now? Thanks in advance.

  2. Flew with them last October, Gatwick to Bangkok. I live 30 mins from Gatwick, and Heathrow is 90 mins, away so that was a no brainer. I paid £332 for the flight, that was £150 cheaper than the next cheapest. The plane left on time, no entertainment, so bring your own, I took my tablet with movies on. I did notice the seats are smaller than the average seat, I am not a fat bastard so it wasn't a problem for me, no free food, I knew about this so i brought my own. Beer can be bought but pricey..I think about 4 euros for a small can. Kiev is a modern airport, with some duty free shops, waited 2 hours and boarded the next flight.

The seats where still small, but ok for me, the staff where friendly, and dished out free juice and water for the duration of the flight. One big screen entertainment with crap movies, so I highly recommend you bring a tablet or laptop. My personal experience was an ok one, but the £150 cheaper was a big pull for me.If you fly Emirates or Etihad Airlines all the time you will be disappointed, they started at £500 from Gatwick last October. Saving £150 was the done deal for me as it paid for my hotel stay in Koh Chang. So to sum it all up, cheap, slightly smaller seats, no free food or alcohol, can be purchased with euros or dollars, no entertainment first flight, second flight yes...if these things are very important to you book elsewhere! I have booked them again for my flight in 3 weeks time £348 return,

  3. Just got back from Koh Chang myself. If you are arriving after a long flight to get to Koh Chang is going to be a tall order as it can take up to 7 hours and the boats stop running at 7pm. I would get a bus from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya (ask the airport information for where to go) around 120 baht, get a cheap hotel for the night and while you are there go to any travel agent and arrange a minibus to the island, around 500-600 baht, most drop off at the ferry and you have to arrange a taxi(Pick up truck with bench seats)on the island to take you to the hotel, about 50 baht, these only leave when full so await of up to 45 mins can happen.I think thats the best way to go.Lovely island Koh Chang my favourite in Thailand.Good luck!

  4. Hi Everyone,

I am staying in Koh Chang for 5 days in October. On the 22nd of October I am flying to Ubon Ratchathani at 4pm from Don Mueang, is there a minibus or bus service on the island which picks you up at your resort and takes you to the ferry and then transports you to Bangkok by 2.30pm? Thanks in advance.
