Bus
Nong Khai’s main bus terminal (0 4241 1612) is located just off Th Prajak, over 1km from the riverside guesthouses.
Read more: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thailand/nong-khai-province/nong-khai/transport/getting-there-away#ixzz2f6pgB26Jrosst, i was in nong kai bus terminal a couple of years ago and remember seeing a v.i.p. bus going to chiang mai.
try the above number, may be they can help.
also try www.phetpraset.com. 056 720 720. who do a v.i.p from kohn kaen to chiang mai.
happy travels.

abe surd, as bathboy said, kemex PTFE spray is good for chains and any other moving parts. lean the bike away from you when spraying, so you dont get lube on the tyre. a few squirts should do, you dont have to drown it.
cleaning and relubing chains is a very popular topic amongst cyclists, everyone seems to have their own way of doing it and what products they prefer.

people dont use oil anymore on bikes, they use spray lubricants, which you should be able to get at any half decent bike shop. dont use wd40, it stays wet and attracts dust and grime.
i remember 3-in-one!
happy pedalling.

have a look at www.roombyroom-thailand.com i have used them before.
they usualy have a good selection of rental properties in all price ranges,
though as other posters have said you wont get much for 8k in hua hin.

there is a v.i.p. bus that goes from hua hin to nahkon ratchasima (korat) i think it leaves in the morning and evening.
get to korat and connect to a khon kaen bus.
also there is an overnight bus from phuket to khon kaen which i think stops in hua hin.
or hua hin to mo chit in a mini bus then on to khon kaen. i reccomend nackon chai air busses.
happy travels!

You will get another 90 day entry without any problem. There is not restriction of any kind that would keep you from getting it. People do it every day.
After getting the last entry from your visa your only option would be tourist visas or a single entry non-o from a nearby embassy or consulate.
You should be able to get another multiple entry visa when your return to the UK.
what are the financial requirements for a single entry non o and is there a reccomended nearby embassy or consulate to obtain this visa?

hello, i am 61, hold a u.k. passport, am not married to a thai national, i dont have 800,000baht or a monthly income of 65000baht. i can no longer apply for an "o" for visa for lack of funds.
first question. my present non "o" visa, issued in hull. states, this visa must be utilized by 14 june 2013.
if i leave and return to thailand on say the 13th of june will i get another 90 days? giving me 15 months in total on the visa,
i have never done this before, and has anybody ever been rejected when trying to do so..
if i do or dont get my further 90 days what are my options for a visa or extensions to allow me to stay here long term.
i will be returning to u.k. shortly if that is of any use.
many thanks in advance to the visa experts.
jerry.

get to the ticket office/ departure point for the A.C. busses that go to bangkok.(the street that runs parrellel with the main road, just before the night market street) anyone should be able to direct you there.
on the opposite side of the road is an office selling mini bus tickets to various destinations.
i think the H.H.-pattaya one goes every couple of hours. fare, 500baht ish as i remember.
i got it coming the other way a few months ago, it only took 4 hours, the young driver was in a big hurry.
cant help you with a phone no.
good luck.

Jerry - OP. Did you get it working?
For simplicity, post #4, then post #3 are what I would do first.
J
eureka eureka, i finaly got it working. thanks for the input and apologies for not replying sooner. it was driving me nuts and i walked away from it for a few days.
anyway, this is what i did,
control panel, d/c display,settings,
i then had a box with number 1 and 2 screens, i could not activate number 2, i kept going round in circles,
but eventually i did by clicking ,extend windows onto this monitor, o.k.
the computer turned off and came back on again.
i then pressed FN and F5 together and a series of icons flashed on my screen very quickly.
i managed to click on the one with a picture of a p.c and a t.v with a cable going between them.
i then flicked through my t.v and yipee it was working on HDMI 2.
i can now play film, music etc on my t.v..

i have a three year old acer 5738z pc and a one year old sony bravia flat screen tv.
both items have a port for an hdmi cable, which i fitted in the hope that i could watch my pc on my tv screen.
its not working..
i tried using my neighbours mac and it did work, so it must be something do to with the pc.
i am running windows xp (thai dodgy)
a mate had a similar problem and was told that maybe it cant be done using windows xp.
i would be grateful for any input on how to get it working.
thanks in advance,
jerry.
p.s. keep it simple if you can.

cant believe no one has come in with "smoke on the water" yet, and how about a good old 60"s soul classic, "wade in the water" by ramsey lewis.
