Now asking about advice re another METV after one month out of Thailand. Asking a question no one can answer.

True that I have not gotten a 100% sure answer. But it has thought me and probably several others a bit of useful stuff. For example that some embassies use the only one METV per year.

Dr.Jack. Do you mean that what ChalkyOw is saying isn't correct? They they dont have the right to turn you away if you have the correct visa?

As Tod mentions, there was a thread about someone being questioned or maybe even refused by immigration at the airport with an METV although I’ve only gone through smoothly personally.

This is a bit scary. Especially since last time a flew in I was questioned by the immigration officer. This have never happened before when I have had a visa. On visa exempt I have gotten a few simple questions before. But this time she was serious and even wanted to see photos of my gf etc.

So even if I have the correct visa it seems like the immigration officer has the right to stop me from entering Thailand? This can't be common and only happens to people who behave very badly when questioned or could it happen to anyone regardless of nice behaviour or not?

I'd assume that the Thai embassy has access to their own countries immigration records if the need arose

Thank, would that affect their decision? Seems not really to be an issue of one goes back to the home country again. If staying around south East Asia it seems to be a big issue though.

Is there a minimum time that one has to be out of the country to be able to re apply for a multiple entry tourist visa?

  5. Hi! Does anyone know how long one must be away from Thailand until it is possible to apply for a new multiple entry tourist visa?

I am aware that I will need to apply from my home country. But would 1-2 months out of Thailand be enough to re-apply for the same visa again.

My previous time in Thailand is extensive on different visas. Would that affect their decisions as well or can't they even see that at the Thai embassy abroad?

    Thanks in advance! 😊

Of course there are anti-epileptic medications here, many in fact. But it sounds like you do not have seizures? In which case they would not be indicated.

The article you site is specific to people with intractable seizures.  Meaning epilepsy that cannot be controlled by medication. Not the mild symptoms you mention.

Nobody is going to surgically remove a brain  calcification for the sort of things you mention (even if they are due to the calcification, which they might not be since these are common phenomena especially as one ages. )

Could you please specify what the actual problem/symptoms are that you are concerned about? Calcifications are found in brain CTs of about one third of older people and usually require no treatment.

There are no medications that will cure these calcifications. Rather, medications are used to treat serious symptoms like seizures if present.

I admit that I don't have much knowledge in this field. Anyways, would EDTA be able to help cleaning up the arteries?

If they haven't rewritten the law in the last 10 years. I am very confident that they do exist. I was warned about it and later in contact with lawyers. According to them my ex could have had a right to 50% of everything I bought when we were a couple as we had lived together for so many year. I would also have been able to get 50 percent of everything she bought during the same time period.

Made a very fast Google and found. "If the cohabiting couple have lived together for a significant period of time and there are titled assets at stake {e.g. land, houses, condominiums] a lawsuit is more a question of “when” not “if.” "

  8. Hi again!

    Short update.

I am back in Thailand again. I asked the immigration before I exited Thailand. As I had a visa already they said I could go back the same day without any problems and it was no problems to enter Thailand. I did however have a bit of convincing to do at the exit from Cambodia as they thought Thailand wouldn't let me in as I didn't stay overnight.

Poi pet border wasn't crowded today, still agree with others there is more charming border crossings😉

  9. Hi!

I was on the way to drive away and do a visa run at Poi pet border. Unfortunately, I just read.

"However, those who are on Thai visa runs are often refused entry to Thailand if they stay in Cambodia for less than one day."

Knowing Poi pet has always been a bad place for visa runs. Should I still worry about what I read or is that since before Covid?

I have a new passport and multiple entry tourist visa.

If Poi pet border is to be avoided, is there any other better borders close to Poi pet? Already booked a hotel in Aranyaprathet, so would definitely prefer to not have to spend the night in Cambodia....

    Thanks in advance:)

  10. It depends mostly on what mechanic you get. I have had good and horrible at different Japanese brands. Honda and Kawasaki has many places to service the bikes. I prefer the former of those. Triumph also has many places to service and if you go for the 660 triple in trident and tiger sport you will only need to service every 16000 km. The Honda and Kawasaki's I previously had, had a service intervals of only 6000 km.

  11. If The Mall Ramkhamheang is considered a real mall there is plenty of much cheaper places around there. Happyland area close to The Mall Bangkapi (a huge mall) should also have plenty of apartments which is probably even much cheaper than what you are looking for. Ratchada also have plenty of accommodation withing your budget close to The street, Big C and Fortune Town. The list goes on and on, of suitable places for you. Just stay away from the city center and you will have no major problems to find a cheap apartment close to a mall. Good luck!

Nobody can say for sure, but you would be well advised to arrange entering by land if you want to rely on visa exemptions. When you enter by air, it is up to the discretion of the immigration officials whether to grant you the visa exemption. With your recent immigration history, I would be very nervous.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

In case I get a proper 60 days tourist visa it is no longer up to the discretion of the immigration officials whether to grant entrance to Thailand or could they still stop me?

  13. Hi!

I arrived in Thailand on a tourist visa from home EU country October 2019. Followed by a visa run to Vietnam I arrived in Thailand with a tourist visa Jan 2020. Visa exempt entry from Laos in late March 2020, then staying a few more months on the no need for visa because of Covid.

After that, I got tricked by the agent and got a dodgy volunteer visa from Korat . Next year I was on a student visa, which expires soon.

    Question number 1.

If I now go to a neighboring country and fly in on a 45 day visa exempt entry is it likely to cause any problems at the arrival back in BKK?

I heard immigration is asked to look after the volunteer visa's issued in Korat.

If it would create any problems would that problem go away in case I get a real 60 days tourist visa instead?

    Question number 2.

If going in on 45 day visa exempt entry is possible without causing any problems. Would it likely be OK to repeat the same procedure in 2.5 months? (45 days visa exempt entry from neighboring country + one month extension at the local immigration office)

Does this seem to be an OK plan to stay longer or should I find other solutions?

    Thanks in advance:)

Thank you for the course recommendation. That could be invaluable. I will reach out to them. Seems interesting.

Yeah, in regards to the Versys, I had read others recommend that for taller riders. Also read that the CB500X was ideal for beginners. But I guess probably not greatly different from the Versys. Also, Versys is not that much heavier really.

I used to have a Versys, it is a bigger engine with lots of more torque, I prefer that engine to the CB500X. Still , now I am riding a CB500X. Mainly because it is much better in the city. I felt that the Versys was top heavy and harder to navigate in town. I prefer the smoother ABS on the CB (maybe the Versys ABS has improved on later models). All over the CB is more relaxed to ride, I feel that I have much better control and it never surprises me. The Versys was more fun to ride, is better for overtaking on the highways etc. But for a beginner on a new bike. Honda is just easier, without feeling boring. BTW, I am 6'2 and Versys don't even win the ergonomics battle for me. Much more crunched hip angle on the older Versys. Check out http://cycle-ergo.com/ for info

    Good luck!

T8 is pretty simple, but the much bigger problem is they claim ALL countries now need a clean covid test result, starting sunday.

Thank you for your reply. I am aware of this and noticed that I will have to wake up early tomorrow and act extremely fast if I should be able to enter Thailand again before those requirements takes place.

As easy for you might be hard for someone else, can someone please tell me what kind of questions it is and if some crossings/airports don't use it or if it is used at all airports and land boarders?

  16. Hi!

I heard that it is a form called T8. What kind of questions is in this form? So that I don't get stopped at my arrival to Thailand. Does it have to be filled in before bordering the plane or should it be filled in at the arrival? Is it also used at land borders?

    Thank you in advance.

  17. Hi! I have some questions about what is really needed to get a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa. I understand that it might differ on different embassies etc.

I will cut in the text directly from 2 different embassies underneath as they are not equally worded.

    1. Would the 200 000 baht, have to be untouched in my account for the last 6 months or is it ok if you have 200000 baht in the account sometime during the last 6 months? Would it be ok to show that you have the founds in a thai bank (I have only installed the mobile app and could therefore, not print that out as a proof ( maybe take a screenshot and print that would be sufficient?))

    2. Do you need to be employed at the moment or would it be enough with paper stating that you will start work on that or that day?

    3. Is proof of accommodation needed for more than the first night of arrival?

    I read from one embassy:

    • Financial evidence e.g. original bank statement of the applicant showing a balance of at least £5,000 (for 6 months) or a print out with official stamp of the bank
    • A letter from the applicant's employer (in the UK and addressed to the Royal Thai Embassy)
If you are self-employed, you self-assessment and a company registration document are required.
    • Travel booking confirmation
    • Proof of accommodation in Thailand e.g. hotel booking, invitation letter from family or friend in Thailand

     And at another embassy:

    1. A bank statement showing deposit account (CASH ONLY) with an amount of at least 57 000 SEK (200 000 baht) in the past 6 months.
    2. An employment certificate in English from an employer mentions the applicant's job position, salary, the purpose of visiting Thailand, and the date when the applicant is expected to return to work. For self-employed, Please submit the business license or business registration indicating the applicant's name. For a student, please submit an original certificate of student status in English from the school, college, or university. In the case of unemployment, you are not eligible to apply for this visa.
    3. A copy of the hotel/Accommodation reservation in Thailand. (showing your name, date of arrival and departure and full address of hotel reservation) OR if the applicant stays at a friend's house, please submit a letter of invitation, a copy of the friend's ID card or passport and a copy of house registration or leasing contract.
  18. I know that four Thai employees are needed to get one work-permit for a foreigner. Now to my questions…

    1.       Do those 4 employees need to be employed 100% full time? What is full time? 8 hours a day, for 5 or 6 days a week?

    2.       Is it possible to have more staff employed as part-time who make up the time required for 4 full-time staff? Example: having 8 part-time all employed at 50% working for you instead of four full-time employees?

    3.       Can any of the four full-time employees also legally be employed full-time at another Thai company?

    4.       Do all the four employees need to be at the company? (I mean an employee who does for example internet marketing don’t need a physical presence) So could they work from home?

    5.       How much is the minimum social security payments per employee?

    Thank you in advance!

  19. With those questions I think he is a beginner and a 650 is a huge difference from the 500. I can recommend it as I have had 3 different 650's and now have a 500, which might lack some punch sometimes, but is still quite funny to ride and can be plenty for a beginner in bkk. I prefer the 500 in bkk because it doesnt get even near as hot as the 650 and is lighter (more important if he is a new rider)

For city riding CB 500 F

    for touring Cb 500 X

For wane be racing star CBR 500

    For cruising Rebel 500

If u are tall I recon the seating position wouldn't be so nice with the CBR

    Good luck
