  6. Good to hear, yeah I am a regular. I started going to a few games last year and got into it, crowds are good fun. The attendance depends on the team you see. Basically if you go to a home game of PEA Ayutthaya, Chonburi FC, Muang Thong United, Samut Songkahm there will be a decent atmosphere with few thousand and up to 6000, but just about all the other clubs are improving fast as the league is just starting to take itself seriously and become professional.

This weekend there are no matches as internationals are on, round 4 (of 30) is next weekend.

  7. there has been lots of hype around the creation of Phuket FC this year. They decided to make the club after Phuket's success at hosting the Thai national team in the Kings Cup and SEA Cup. They reckon it's going to be a "real" FC

anyway they are playing their first match at 4pm today. If you in Phuket I reckon it would be worth going to watch.... maybe history in the making :o

  10. hi everyone,

I've been living in Thailand for 7 years, a few months ago I found a new interest here, Thai League Football. It's a small, but fast emerging league. Tomorrow the pre season tournament, the Queens cup will be played in Chonburi and televised on NBT. Anyway I am running a blog translating info in about it so non Thai readers can keep updated, check it out.

    thaileague.spaces.live.com

hope nobody minds me plugging my blog, but it's just to help non Thai readers keep updated with local football to give us an opportunity to get into it :o
