  1. I’ve done some searching online and cannot find anywhere that is currently giving Covid boosters. Does anyone have information for boosters in the Bangkok area. Thanks
  2. I’ve been using the Chinese remote that will clone your present remote. Easy to do and cheap. I’ve been using it for over a year now with no problems. Mine has four buttons that you can clone so you actually get four remotes in one, if one button dies you still have three to use.
  3. I believe this location to buy trees is still in operation. If you don’t mind coming into the Bangkok/Rangsit area there is a place at about Khlong 7 or 8 on the Rangsit - Nakon Nayok highway that has an incredible selection of small to huge trees. It is a series of small places that line a dirt Soi that extends a kilometer or two off the highway. It looks like they must supply landscapers for large building projects. If you are interested let me know and I will try to give you a more precise location.
  4. I think Sheryl will be along to say that Dr Anna in Pattaya should be your go to doctor.
  5. Does anyone have experience trying to get a Grab taxi around 4am. I need to go from Khlong Song Rangsit to Don Muang Airport for an early flight and I am wondering if I can depend on them or try to make other arrangements.
  6. In Bangkok you can get a Bivalent vaccination by Moderna at Central World 5th fl. Friday, Saturday and Sunday noon to six. I got one this afternoon.
  7. Are there any locations in Bangkok currently offering Bivalent Covid vaccinations?
  8. Annual extension, thanks
  9. How many days before your extension of stay expires can you apply for a new extension?
  10. I entered Thailand in 2007 on a non-imm B and got extensions based on marriage. A few years after retiring I changed it to being extended on retirement to reduce the paperwork. Should I decide to revert back to having my extension based on marriage would it be as easy as going from marriage to retirement.
  11. I want to give an update concerning what I learned (or didn’t learn) about iTind at my public hospital. When I enquired about it with my urologist he didn’t understand and had me spell the word. That still didn’t ring a bell with him so I said it is a procedure whereby they insert basically a stent then remove it after a week. The word stent did it for him and he told me that the hospital didn’t offer that procedure and that it was used mostly for people that, for whatever reason, couldn’t have surgery. He then offered to refer me to the doctor that does Rezum. The fact that he wasn’t very familiar with iTind made me lose some confidence in this urologist who has otherwise been as good or better than my experience with my urologist at a private hospital. At this point I can still live with my symptoms so I don’t think I will be making a move in the near future.
  12. Hi xylophone, I think iTind is available in Thailand now as well. I’m going to see my urologist in a couple of weeks and will ask him about this procedure as well.
  13. Thanks for the reply. Good to know that someone had a positive outcome.
  14. So true and since the procedure has only been available in Thailand since January 2022 I would guess not many doctors have extensive experience unless they have been practicing in another country.
  15. I’m located in Rangsit and the ballpark figure for the cost was 100,000 Baht
  16. I recently discovered that my local govt hospital is offering the Rezum procedure for BPH at half the cost of some of the private hospitals. I would appreciate hearing pros and cons from people that have had this procedure. Thanks
