Alert. Received a visit from the Local police because I am American.
Been here since June 2025, immigrations has been to my house 3 times, 1st time pictures were taken of me and one of them at my gate with the house number. The other 2 times they just looked at my passport and talked to the wife. I am on a Retirement Visa.

Push Lawnmower Recommendations
I opted for a Makita lawnmower. Brought an extra set of Batteries and can mow the entire yard with 2 sets of batteries. Kept having issues with the gas powered ones.

Driveway
My driveway is an ugly mess. When done 17 yrs ago the surface got screwed up for several reasons thus now have moved back and want a nice looking driveway. First thought is to rip out and replace.. want a stamped top. Talking with the stamp folks they only do 5 cm I know that I need at least 10 cm for a strong driveway. thus do I pour a 5 cm base then let them put their 5 cm on top? sounds like a mess to me? 2nd thought is while my existing drive is solid use it as a base and put tile on it. it is already level sloping the right way so it would make a good base and the tile would cover the ugly top. The cost is about the same either way I go.

power converter
I brought over a couple of power converters from the US I used one with my crockpot from the US and it work OK. The other I was going to use in the garage for my battery chargers for my cordless tools. I plugged it in, check with a meter and it showed 110v so I plugged in one of my battery chargers and the charger went pop and is dead. I opened it and the fuse looks good so I don't know what popped. I checked it again with meter and it shows 110v so I am totally lost. Just ordered a better converter from Lazada hope it works.

Hot water machine help
Recently I purchased a new Hot water machine for my shower, while the old one still worked I moved it to the guest house shower. When it was installed in the guest house it prevented the shower from having water pressure. I can unhook the hot machine and directly run the water to the shower and it works fine, but when hooked up to the machine it has no pressure. Did not have this problem when it was installed in the other shower....thoughts?

Thai Visa (Retirement)
Yes we is Thai wife. I understand financial requirements 800000 baht in bank. Going to set up bank account in June to meet those requirements so that will be out of the way and time for it to season. Going for the Retirement visa cause it is less hassle at extension time... I really thank everyone for the advise..been away from the Visa thing for about 15 years now so things have changed.

Thai Visa (Retirement)
I applied for a Retirement Visa 1 year with multiply entries, what they issued was a Retirement Visa 90 days single entry. I am coming over in June for a short stay, but have to return back home to sale house and finish moving. Can I get a re-entry stamp in Thailand or do I need to go through the visa process again?
