  1. There are a number of recent threads on getting an single entry tourist visa (60 days on entry that can be extended for a further 30 days on payment of 1,900 baht) in Phnom Penh.

If you have no previous tourist visas in your passport, Phnom Penh is no problem for a single entry tourist visa. If you have many (three or more) you will very likely have a problem.

It seems you can get a single entry tourist visa in Yangon, but the rules they apply are less clear.

You cannot get a multiple entry tourist visa (suitable for stays of more than 90 days) anywhere in the region, unless you happen to have residence within that country.

both countries ONLY issue 2 month tourist visas ( there is no 3 month tourist visa)

which can than be extended to 3rd month at immigration in Thailand for another 1,900 baht

in PP use any travel agent, saves time

    Thanks guy´s

    Really appreciated.

  2. Interesting that people in their home country don't do wondering around the most seedy areas in the middle of the night drunk but think it safe to do when in a less developed country. And more interesting the neighbor would put himself in the same position the next day.

I am a bit confused as to how this made the news if there was no police report. Did this guy contact the media?

On Monday, Morten Krogsholm reported the crime to the Thonglor Police Station, filing his statement so he can get some compensation from his insurance company.

    ???? You wonder what???

  3. hey Guy´s,

I just lost my license and the police officer in pattaya Police st. soi 9 say´d to me that I need to bring Residence certificate as well with me to get the new card´s/ license´s. ???????

Any of you guy´s ever hear of that??? I mean I know when you make it the first time but never heard it in this case...

You never know what the officer at the DLT will ask, but normally residence certificate will NOT be required for this.

But do you really think a police officer will know these fine details?

    Hey Steven,

    Thanks for the reply.

Well normally I wouldn´t think the officer in the Pol. Station would know this, but that was pretty much the only thing he say´d so that´s why I decided to ask here before I would make my way to the driving school. My friend lost his wallet before, couple of months ago and he didn´t have to do the cert. but you know how they constantly change all those things here so better safe than sorry ;-)

    Cheers

  4. Bubu Boo-Booed, then he Bye-Byed. Too bad Farangs don't have the sense to be really careful when bar hopping in Pattaya ... or anywhere in Thailand. seem s he was with friends. Never get in a fight with a local, cause you wil be jumped by his local friends arrmed c/w knives, daggers, bicycle or farm chains, chunks of glass, metal bars, wooden batons. Anti personal pepper sprays works great, but good luck getting it thru Airport Security & customs.

Who said BUBu is a local ?

  5. hahahahahahahahahaha good one. I´m gonna do the same repeating and see if I will believe it hahahahhahaaha

Everyone knows that cash will not get one out of a traffic violation.........now I will keep repeating this until I believe it myself! ha ha ha

that's an outrageous statement, everybody knows they do. There seems to be a movement to just say the complete opposite of the truth, for what reason I don't know. At least they were correct in saying their are no gambling dens in Bangkok. :annoyed:

  6. Hey thaisabai, you are not alone.

    <deleted> is 2 lakh ;-)

I see many strange things in here all the time but this most be the top of it all ;-)

    2 lakh = two lao/Krabi hoo......

Ok they got rid of two of them hahaha

A recent World Health Organisation (WHO) report has pegged the number of female prostitutes in the country at 2 lakh.

can someone enlighten me? how much is 2 lakh.?

    thaisabai

  7. Teachers wanted, good pay, health benefits, visa assistance, medical and bullet proof vest provided. This is not good for Thailand! This is shocking. Time to get rid of the stupid "lose face" mentality and start educating. Start with the stupid ass programs on the television that seem to baby sit the majority of the children in this country. :realangry:

Could´nt agree more, like it just came out of my keyboard.
