I hardly ever get sick from food in Thailand and did not 30 years ago either. I go food poisoning on a plane to Nepal once but that is about it. I did get sick from some soup on my first night in Cambodia many years ago, but stopped eating in places that catered to locals after that and had no more problems.

Who like these cartoon looking faces? Do real natural Asian women ever look like this?
It is called makeup. Women use it all over the world.

I had a buddy visit recently and he did not think Thai women were attractive.
I was like that when I was young. I only liked white women (there was nothing else where I grew up). However, after living in Miami for a few weeks, I changed my tune. Cuban women are really hot. It took a few few years until I became attracted to Asians, but never turned back after that.

How you equate enjoying life is due to cigarettes is just an addict speaking.
There is nothing enjoyable about cigarettes until you become addicted to them. One of the stupidest drugs on earth.

Better than the coconut husk mattresses in Thailand. It feels like sleeping on bricks.

I have always had good luck with medical care in LOS. I can't afford it in America.

I'm more disturbed by the anti-semitism there than the homophobia but it's that weirder kind of anti-semitism where there aren't any Jews. Heck if I can live in the American south, which I have, I could live in Malaysia.
There is very little real anti-Semitism in the American South. I grew up there and had plenty of Jewish friends. They might make make silly jokes and repeat stereotypes, but not much different from Irish or Italians. They were VERY bigoted against blacks back then, but that has changed a lot in the last 50 years too.

They have "health clubs" which are really brothels. At least they did when I use to spend a lot of time there. I much prefer Thailand, despite the OP's list. It is my second home and the one I like better. By the way, never seen smaller food portions for foreigners. The portions may be small, but so is the price and they are all the same.

I just got a mild frisking (looking for handguns on my belt) when entering malls. It's all pretty friendly and unobtrusive really.
Back when I was visiting, they let white folks skip the line and just walk in. The white man's burden...

It's interesting how opinions differ. I went there for visa runs 3 times and really enjoyed it and did think about it as an alternative place to live. If you don't require bars or working girls and can get the long-term visa it would be great.
I haven't been there for a while, but there were plenty of working girls back then. The "health clubs" were nothing but brothels with some very pretty young women.

"regardless" is a word.
"irregardless" ... not so much.
Actually, it IS a word.
Is irregardless a word?
Irregardless was popularized in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its increasingly widespread spoken use called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that "there is no such word." There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose.- 1

He did not say it in public - if he said it at all. A few rat-finks who hate his guts reported it and other politicians denied he used those words. My guess is that he said something similar, but his detractors spun what he actually said to make it much worse.

The charm of the cheap beer wore off immediately because the beer was so lousy back then. The charm of cheap sex never wore off and hopefully never will.

Do some research Yaba is addictive and cheap to buy ,Why would the Thai government put people behind bars even gave people the death sentence for it,
Actually, he is correct. The addiction is psychological. It is not a physical addiction like opiates. Governments put people behind bars for innocuous weed and have given death sentences as well. That does not prove anything.

But wanting sex is normal, I don't know of any man that wouldn't have sex every day if it were easily available.
By Jove, I think you've got it. Every day if the right sex partners and no strings attached.

If it's good enough for the locals, then it's probably good enough for me.
Vietnam had really unpleasant transport for locals back in the early 1990s, when I first started going there. They jammed way too many people in their vehicles, but sometimes there was no other choice. They also had really great tourist buses with plenty of room and comfort (Kim Cafe and Singh Cafe). They were very reasonably priced and would drive you around looking at cheap guesthouses in every city. Great place to visit back then.
-
I was an American living in Hanoi and I made no secret of it. The Vietnamese did not seem to bear a grudge as they understand soldiers have a duty to perform. They always told me that they have fought with so many different countries that they would hate everyone if they did not forgive. I really respected them for that.
-
I moved to Vietnam a ways back. I hated it and ran back to Thailand as quickly as I could. The people are just too aggressive after the mellow Thais. Also, learning the language was a real struggle as the Vietnamese are not very helpful about it. They are very critical.
On the other hand, very cheap beer and lots of choice. The foreign food was much cheaper and better than in Thailand, but LOS might have caught up by now.

Glad you won Transam. I resisted campaigning for you too much as did not want to jinx you.

I use to stay at a gay hotel near Patpong (the Suriwong), because it was cheap. The desk clerks were all straight and they kept thanking me for bringing home beautiful girls. The King's Castle bars had lots of stunners back then.
