Was there similar time yesterday but before leaving Nai Harn checked Maps which showed 56 minutes to get through so went via Kata instead which took about 15 to 20 minutes

When it comes to bad driving a ten wheeler driver managed to kill one (possibly two) Chinese girls yesterday morning in Kamala and there hasn't been a word about it on the news other than Thaiger. 1 girl dead at the scene in front of Mood mansion/Aussie Pub and the other was in a very bad state.
Flat road, no rain, good light (0730) no excuse. Not sure if it was hit and run or if he stopped though. The 'Kamala Racetrack' has a lot to answer for.
Cannot find any news clips related to the accident. Wonder why?

Been both ways this morning from West (no cars waiting) & back from Viset (just a few cars lined up to get through). Have seen that mini vans cannot make the U turn in one go at Soi Anuson & buses go a little further up to make a 6 point U turn when it has been widely stated they need to access Chao Fa East from Thanon Kwang or the road that cuts down alongside Wat Chalong.
Yesterday saw a bus coming out from the pier road took 2 goes to make the left turn.

I would say they have been talking about this tunnel for at least 20 years. Various committees have delved into the ins & outs with quite large sums of money already spent. This will continue to drag on as the vested interests & local communities get involved in wanting their share. There was no time frame set.

This morning, holiday weekend, all ok.
But also I foresee major issues, the U-turn on Chao Fa West is even for pickups too narrow.
About an hour ago saw a bus doing a U turn just past there by Supercheap. Held up the traffic while he did his turn complete with several reverses

Going by the total inactivity we could be looking at well over 2 yrs, nothing is happening!!
Sent from my SM-G610F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
Compare that to the airport underpass which had teams of workers a little while back when I passed by.

And, as always, they dont spend a second looking at WHY things went wrong in the past, they just immediately ask for more authority, staff, and money. Because that will result in more power (cash) to whoever is in charge.
I would suggest they first identify their own failings. If you now have 10 people as staff and all 10 sleep at the job and only collect bribes it wont help to add another 10, 20, or even 100 men staff.
Yes something needs to be done just to enforce existing regulations but 5 to 600,000,000 seems like a figure just plucked out of the sky.

I wonder the same thing. Thought would be close roads by now. But nothing. On the Rawai side quite a long stretch with nothing dug out. Never see any trucks hauling dirt away ... NEVER
Have you been through after 9pm as they were only going to close during the night but no idea why.

I have just changed the old, broken cartridge filter, and with the new one the PSI is down to less than 5. But the pressure and suction is excellent. I have seen that when the algea dries out, it dies and disappears. So next time my filter gets clogged with algea, I will simply use the old filter for a few days, and dry out the new one in the sun. And vise versa.
You say super shock with chlorine. Is there any other chemical I could just put in my skimmer?
There are some pool algaecides on the market such as Pooltrine or from Astral plus generic ones. Pooltrine is likely the most expensive, it is an algaecide & water clarifier.

Eating anywhere in Thailand is always a gamble. Fish farming in filthy water. Overuse of pesticides and herbicides is rampant. How long was your food sitting in a hot truck or on a loading dock?
Did the food handlers use sanitary methods in the kitchen? Too many sources of error. Got food poisoning once in Phuket then sick from dodgy liquor in Pattaya. And don't forget contaminated ice in drinks. I could never relax in Thailand. No plans to return after >10 visits over the years.
Bon appetite.
I go to the same eatery about once every 2 weeks & in all the years I have been going there never had a problem. Last time there I ordered something which I really used to enjoy but not tried for quite a while. It was sub standard so may not be going back for that reason, not fear of food poisoning.
During me early days in Phuket I used to get sick on a regular basis. A friend once said it was likely I kissed the wrong ice cube. I guess over time my body adapted as hardly ever suffer food poisoning nowadays.

thanks for your reply @kamalabob2 , I'll check again.
Do you know if there are only this big buckets available or also smaller packs?
I think 3-5 kg should be more than enough for my needs.
You can get Weber Color HR in 3kg tubs. Cost about 675 Baht here in Phuket for standard colours i.e white, light & dark grey.
