  1. It’s obvious why he’s saying it doesn’t exist, it’s been exposed and shows that immigration are making a lot of money on the side from doing this with the agents so he is covering his own back by denying it’s running. Nothing new here, same bulls*it every time some money making scheme gets exposed.
  2. If this is the same guy who posted on TikTok, he said he’s going to be supporting himself in the now fashionable way, doing vlogs and YouTube content.
  3. And what questions are the Thais asked when they go to other countries like the UK, us, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc? They have to first fight for a visa and the are subjected to all of the questions you have just complained about Thailand asking. If it was as easy for the Thais to travel to other countries and stay for immeasurable time as we foreigners can do here in Thailand, I’m sure that everyone would be happy.
  4. Funny thing is that I know 2 people working in the police hospital in Bangkok, and they both tell me that Thaksin isn’t there any more. He simply arrives there when needs be, like someone going in to check on him or whatever. He is now, these people say, living in his house free as a bird. Thailands justices system is a complete joke. Money buys power buys freedom to do whatever you want. It’ll never change as the greed of people, especially the politicians, is huge.
  5. It doesn’t matter where it is in the country, the immigration, before they accept the extension, can at any time within the 30 day under consideration period, ask for the bank details again. The information that you are giving could get the OP in to a problem with his extension.
  6. Although the immigration office in Bangkok might not check your bank balance, there is always a chance that the people that are accepting your visa extension could want to check on your account before processing. I don’t live in Bangkok but am on a non o marriage extension and all paperwork is sent to Bangkok for processing, by my local immigration office. I have been in this extension now for the past 20 years and occasionally, I’ll get a call from Bangkok just before the 30 days under consideration is up, to ask me to send another copy of my bank book showing the 400k. Doesn’t happen much, it’s happened to me just twice, but it still can happen. If you can afford to leave the money in there until you get your extension stamped, then my advice is that you do just that.
  7. You just need to show your marriage certificate, her id card and, depending on the immigration office where you’ll go, her house book showing where she is registered. Doesn’t matter if this is different from where she is living now, it’s just a place where she is registered. It shouldn’t be a problem to get the visiting wife 60 days extension. Best of luck.
  8. Thai special force and reality. Worldwide, special forces means the elite, special forces in Thailand means he probably washed the generals car which makes him a bit special while he in the forces (conscript). Special forces soldiers can fight alone if need be, Thais never can, always in a group against one person.
  9. Just woke up??? I posted in the Hua Hin forum and mentioned IT city. So I wouldn’t be looking for someone in, say, chiang mai, would I? Maybe get back to me when you wake up….
  10. Hi, does anyone know where the computer people went after leaving it city? Went up there yesterday (3rd floor) and it was empty. A couple of the shops did a good job on upgrades so I am just interested in where they have all gone. Thanks,
  11. They sell them on shoppee and lazada too. Don’t seem to bother the police when being sold through there.
  12. What an absolutely ridiculous comment!! The people could have does, the woman is pregnant and they were electrocuted. How would you like to sit in a bath and get electrocuted and someone say, “where’s the injury”? If you can’t find anything better to say, turn off your computer and go and do something that’s not so taxing on the brain. Idiot!!!
  13. We’ll see snow falling here in thailand before thailand see’s tasking return. Don’t know what everyone is getting excited about. As a billionaire with a good few diplomatic passports, he can pretty much go and live anywhere he feels like, he’s not going to come back here to serve even a day in prison. This will be about the 32nd time he’s had people fooled saying he’s coming back and so it will continue.
  14. No, it’s normal. If you arrive in a private plane you get very little scrutiny from customs and immigration. I have arrived in to many different countries on a private plane owned by people I worked as executive protection for. It’s simply, land, be met at the aircraft, go to a very small office for immigration, stamp the passport and away. If someone is flying in a commercial aircraft, it’s a completely different scenario.
  15. These Russians are a pain in the ass. They are taking over everywhere in thailand. As for them buying properties, do they mean houses as well as apartments? Funny how they can buy but everyone else has to either put in a company name or put in their (Thai) wife’s name. These people are given too much freedom to do whatever they want and will soon take over the country. All in the excuse that they are escaping the war in Russia.
  16. Looks very bland. No chili’s in a krapow is like eating chips with salt and ketchup.
  17. What does it matter really? Here in thailand, it’s impossible to be registered with a university and not come out with a degree. That’s why the Thai degrees are considered next to useless on the international work scene. My son has just started university, only because his mom and the Thai side of the family said that he should go. He hates it and really cannot be bothered with the school. It’s supposed to be an international university, there are, however, no foreign teachers, except for an Indian who no one can understand and a Filipino who drones on and on about nothing. All the rest are Thai and gallop through everything without a care whether the students can understand or not. AI is great for the homework, actually explains things a damn site better than any of the teachers. University in thailand is, in my opinion, a complete waste of 4 years and to come out with a piece of paper after that time which is nigh on useless anywhere out of thailand just isn’t worth the time or effort.
  18. What a stupid comment. What has this Nigerian guy got to do with retirement visa’s? The report said he’s 26 years old. So, again, what’s any of this got to do with retirement visas? If the immigration decide to take your suggestion and put it up to 3 million baht, do you think that will stop other people doing the same “work” as this young Nigerian guy, getting a visa to enter?
  19. All this means is that if the police stop you, they’ll ask for more tea money than usual, it won’t help the situation get better, it”lol just make more money for the police in bribes.
  20. No it’s not. The price of a good peanut oil is 160 baht per liter in bangkoks Chinatown market. We buy it and use it all the time. If you want a link to the market, let me know and I’ll gladly send a link to you. As you’ve just set up a wok station, sounds like you like to cook Chinese food, me too. We also have a wok station outside in the back of our house which I use daily. I love to cook uk style Chinese food and actually worked and trained with friends in their restaurants and takeaways in the uk for a few years.
  21. We can help if the goods are in customs, bangkok. I’ve sent you a private message.
  22. Good riddance to bad rubbish!! As he’s going to leave politics, I hope that he’s finally going to move out of the free housing in the army base and buy his own house with his I’ll gotten gains!
  23. Can we all go and help him pack? It’ll help get rid of this prick a lot quicker!!!
  24. What a ridiculous comment. You don’t have to be well off to go to university. There are a lot of universities that are cheap enough for almost anyone, except the very poor. Together with a government loan which is very small but does just about cover the cost of going to university. As for university students not being conscripted, of course they are, as the conscription ag is from 21-35, just that, if at university, they get an exemption until the y are no longer there and then, if they have already picked the wrong ball, they will go and serve their two years. Only way out of it is to do Lor Dor for 3 years while at high school. This is basically like joining the army cadets but those completing the 3 years get exempted from the call up.
