Yep, you are quite correct; there was nothing said specific to firearms.
That I read anyway.
Sure, but whenever you hear the police say, "the suspect is armed", you assume it's with a gun. Otherwise they'd say 'armed with a knife" etc.
Then again, this is reported in English by people who aren't native-speakers or translated from Thai.

You may have a big wall, but make sure you measure the distance from where you're sitting to where the TV is. Bigger isn't always better. If you're sat too close, it won't be a good picture. You lose out on quality when you go big but budget.
As for the cheapest places, Lazada is okay but it's harder to buy the TV with 10-month interest free installments, etc. They want all the cash upfront. Also, if anything breaks on the TV, it's more of a hassle to get it fixed. I'd go powerbuy or 'the power'. I bought a 65 inch OLED and got a free dolby soundbar thrown in. They also had a guy come and hang the tv on my wall.

This possibility is being discussed.
What needs to be discussed?
Absolutely appalling behaviour from these men-children. If you read other stories about this, there are also allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault on the school kids.
And to think, these violent scumbags were supposedly celebrating a Buddhist ordination.

If you think that me criticizing the Thai government or calling them out on something makes you somehow right - it is in your simple little world only
it really is rather childish
I call a spade a spade - and I pretty much don't care for the Childish "I told you so" rhetoric or being ambushed every time I voice my opinion
Grow up and get lost
It really wasn't that hard to foresee. Even if at the beginning you thought the coup may lead on to something good, it didn't take long 'til you realised that it really wasn't. And unless something changes, it's only going to get worse. You can't implement a form of checks and balances and then say they don't apply to you. They should either apply to everyone or no one.
Time for someone else to have a go at it.

Not that I need to justify myself, but so that they try to confine themselves to constructive criticism and or problem solving instead of playing holier than thou? Hows that?
Ah, so instead of criticizing paid ‘professionals’ for being colossal amateurs, we should instead justify their sloppy and immoral actions by associating said actions to others who’ve done similar.
One step forward and two steps back. That’s the key to progress.

Never said that did I. Criticize away.
So why bother telling people this immoral and unprofessional behavior happens in other places?

So the cops don’t deserve criticism because it happened somewhere else?

The problems endemic to the Thai police were prevalent in western Police forces until about 30 years ago and still exist in varying levels today.
Great. The family and friends of the deceased will be so pleased to know this. It’s as if he didn’t even die now.

But the gin sure is very bad, can't understand the folks who drink that stuff voluntarily .
Because of this forum i bought a bottle of it taxfree some years ago, it's still standing in a corner of the kitchen. Maybe i can repel ants with it?
I bought Bombay Sapphire. A very good gin - if that's your tipple.

The duty free here isn't all that bad. I went to CM once on the day of an alcohol-sale ban and was able to buy a bottle of gin for the same price as the supermarkets. #winning

What a horrible little woman. Hope she stays in prison for a long, long time. As for the people who helped bury the body and the senetences they received, disgusting.

The Germans have a word for people like him - “Zivilversager“ - people who are losers outside the barracks without their guns and uniforms being ordered around by others their entire life. Being told when to get up, walk, run, eat and turn off the lights and go to sleep. Most of them are useless in real life - brainwashed to the limit, narrow minded not fit for civilian life where they actually have to think and fend for themselves - not being taken care of like little babies.

Scary stuff. I’ve seen this pack mentality a few times here and it’s really ugly. It makes you realize how precarious the balance can be. People with pent up rage absolutely exploding.
I’d like to see the aurhoties throw the book at these scumbags, but I won’t hold my breath.

It's very easy to sit at a computer and point out he made a terrible mistake but in the moment you're talking about some extremely powerful urges to protect your offspring. He made a serious mistake and he and his child will suffer the consequences. It's unfortunate the victim put the man in this position to begin with.
When I was about 11, I was threatened with assault by an adult. I told my older brother and we went out to find the guy who did it. When my brother found him, he grabbed him by the throat, pushed him against a wall and angrily told him if he ever did it again he'd get a hiding. The adult apologised and looked really scared. My eldest brother was always very protective of me, but even as a 20-year-old, he knew that beating this guy up in front of me would be a terrible example to set.
Violence begets violence. If I'd seen my brother give this guy a beating, that would most definitely have affected me. Seeing my brother get very angry, but still keeping his composure, taught me a valuable lesson. Kicking a man to death in front of your four-year-old kid goes way past the red mist or anger taking hold. It's purely psychotic and deplorable.
