  1. Let me guess, this Indo guy life's is expendable and not worth the chair he sits on, he's a smuggler's

fodder who couldn't give a toss what will happened to him, as he's only the mule here....

yes and expect a rash of smaller busts across thailand as the main load gets distributed.

again we have to ask, why not keep it quiet, track a dummy package till it gets to its final

    destination, then make a bust?

    standard procedure for western countries

dumbasses or dont want to upset someone? take your pick.

  2. The bigger question is why they were allowed to encroach in the first place,

there is too much after the fact in Thailand.

    regards worgeordie

    Why?

    obviously money

money to be made by someone and money for someone to look the other way

    money money money

I've think i've seen an area encroached on, im guessing someone bought land backing onto forest and just kept going further in, right up the side of a quite steep hill and across the top

There are public tracks and signs about a certain native tree that has medicinal properties in the middle of this rubber plantation! The tracks are blocked off at the main road, I was on a MTB so could get around them and go deep into that area.

Though it seems someone said enough is enough and the trees on the side of the hill have been left untapped

Quite a large plot it was too.

    you can see it here

  3. Sounds like one of the Bkk "come meet my family, my daughter is studying in your country" scammers has moved on.

I dont personally want to have money on me before i buy, but i do offer keys, wallet, passport and phone as security.

Reading some of the stories from the usa, in some parts if you meet up, they not only take the bike but your car and clothes at gun point

  4. In the normal course of events, the pursuit of those who have accumulated 'unusual wealth' ( some kind of euphemism for corruption) would be a good thing. However when it is one side pursuing the other and ignoring their own who have accumulated wealth through similar means, it is very dangerous indeed.

yes exactly, it will make the divide worse not better

  5. <script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

How refreshing. Obviously a win-win situation. Listen up dear leader, this is the way all schools should be run. Any teacher who does not allow students to ask questions should be fired. coffee1.gif.pagespeed.ce.Ymlsr09gMJARfU4 alt=coffee1.gif width=32 height=24> alt=thumbsup.gif>

hehe it is usually us who are fired for doing this kind of method... Thais don't like to be showed up when someone breaks the shell..

aint that the truth, i've seen it in so many facets of life, when a farang does something much better than them.

they dont react with "oh how did you do that?" or the like, you often just see petty jealousy,

btw "shown up" is better usage tongue.png

  6. The scope of corruption is simply staggering : so many companies complicit in a scam organised by the Thai government itself !!!.

An absolute disgrace which Thailand accepts in it's stride and carries on as normal. People who defend that last crowd on here have no shame.

So you think prosecuting the reds and leaving the others, and there are plenty, will help heal the divide?

if so you are sorely deluded.violin.gif

Some here that revel in martial law or section 44 should look at the bigger picture,

the reds are not finished, never will be taksins or not.

Just cause you dont like it doesnt mean its not true. shock1.gif

I wonder, do some here still get told what time to go to bed?passifier.gifsaai.gif

  7. This is not the issue of how much the Thai worker is worth, this is really about the quality work of the local labor, which is quite crappy, Thai workers in general are not productive as their counterpart in China and VN, in most cases, they're lazy, irresponsible, dishonest and all around disloyal and uninspiring people to work with, hence the law remunerations they get for their mi pen rai attitude, I ought to know, I have employed hundreds of them in my factories both in Bkk and in up country....

Well the Japanese companies seem to be able to produce export quality products with Thai labor,

I've seen inside some of those companies and know Thais working in them also I have Thai friends who run successful quality product business, so I'm not pulling stuff from my axx.

So I have a question, what are you doing wrong?

For anyone interested in how increasing the min wage is good for the economy, have a look here

  8. street wars

    coups

    floods

    major drops in tourists

    same with exports

    gdp drops

    serious household debts

banks carrying books of defaulted property

    baht holds

cant see it as anything but serious manipulation.

and yet when china farts, australia has amoebic dysentery

You say the banks carrying books of defaulted property ,well the other day i rang regarding a house they had a board on ,and was informed it had just been reduced from 32 million to 27 million , i estimate it was worth ,between 10 and 12 million and even then would take time to sell , remember 1997?

From what i was told, (i dont know firsthand, so grain of salt stuff) banks here cant sell a defaulted mortgage property for less than what is owed.

This is why, and i assume, you see so many properties sitting and deteriorating for ever.

  9. I once spoke to a senior dental surgeon (Thai) about this issue, his estimate was 50 yearswacko.png for people to stop littering.

As i cycle back roads you see lots of construction and household waste dumped where ever its easiest, often on private land

or next to rivers and waterways and this becomes THE spot where others dumpcrazy.gif ............>intheclub.gif

Thais love Thailand?dry.png Many just in thought not action.

    Good on the guy.
