  1. And the good deeds and decisions are pouring in every day.

Does any of the TVF members listen to what is happening or the needle has stuck on.......we want democracy, we want democracy......................

Wake up, fellow members, democracy will come when this country is ready to accept it.

For the moment is a lot to be done and this government is dealing with it and delivering.thumbsup.gif

    "delivering"?

call us when you see truly poor farmers on the land working it, living there, making money with all the correct paperwork.

i would say they have delivered less than 5% of all the "talk" they've spouted, which is good and a start

    but

try to be sensible and realistic in your praise

Suggest you try to be sensible and realistic in your assumption of <5% particularly as many of the projects are WIP.

Try reading my post again, particularly the bit where I said "which is good and a start"

"a start" is quite similar to WIP, in my book. wink.png

Now if you dont think the gushing for the junta which costas is re-known for is overboard then, join in with him,

and gather some of your own ridicule.facepalm.gif

  3. It would appear that this Bonanza owner is the son of former red shirt leader Paiwong Taechanarong. LINK

It would appear that Paiwong began accumulating this land in 2004.

I wonder how many reds are on this list of 100. I hope the list is both sides of the aisle.

There will be a few sacrificial lambs so they can claim impartiality.

I dont believe that they will be, but as you say, one can hope.

  4. Good, start with the duty free zone on the departure level after you exit passport control at Suvarnabhumi. I hate walking through all those overpriced branded retail outlets.

Huh are they overpriced? They should be cheap and taxfree.

I 've never been into one of those shops because they still remind me to that couple who was accused of stealing (which wasn't true) and they missed their flight.

But good to see that the Aussies can come here to build something new. I trust them more then the chinese for safety.

Think you'll find there's a difference between Aussies and Austrians.

Yes and it might help if they used the correct term for those country folk.

Next we'll see them using 'Thailanders'

  5. Any ideas how much new break fluid and calipers may cost?

one might think you would now use the correct spelling considering everyone replying is

    did you break your brakes?

    these are the breaks

hit the brakes, i need a break,

  6. IMO CRF is way easier to ride and smoother. It might come down to a matter of taste, really. The CRF is a bit weaker when it comes to off-roading, not as tough as the KLX, but for the price difference you can easily toughen up the CRF. Hard-core off roaders seem to prefer the KLX.

hard core off roaders dont really ride dual purpose bikes, yeah sorry pedantic

but yes you're correct the klx has the edge off road....

i dislike honda marketing using the crf name on 2 bikes that may look a like but are 100% not the same,

    kinda lame to me.

  7. said it before

fully qual to teach WATER SAFETY and swimming

could i run a one man operation in the local pools or safe beaches?

not, no, nadda, so i would have to get ngo type of funding (which does happen from foreign governments) employ umpteen thais and then jump hoops, run around in circles, do a song and dance to get the bits of paper to make it legal.

but really, they obviously dont care enough about their own citizens to change policies.

    so many children unnecessarily die.

there are other factors like being fully clothed due to modesty/dark skin bs that add to that

here at a local swimming spot, 3 girls playing in the water unsupervised fully clothed

if one were to get into trouble or hit their head the others would have no hope to help

    post-80695-0-83904500-1427727397_thumb.j

excuse me, i get rather angry at this disgrace

  8. Before seeing your latest post I corrected my post to change "..end of his extension of stay" to "...end of his previous permission to stay".

You are correct in saying that the OP said that he has an ED visa and never said that he has an extension of stay.

Please read the information on the web page http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/content/visaxpiredate.html for a better understanding between visa validity period and the permission to stay validity period. If after reading that you still have a question about it, please feel free to post it here. It is sometimes of crucial importance to understand the difference between the two.

sorry to hijack but no need for its own thread.

what about retirement visa, is that for the full year or only for the 90 days it was given in?

    thanks

  9. I have noticed some places round. Don't even bother noticing if it is up or down. When I get satang change I rarely even take it home. I generally just leave it on the counter. Satangs are annoying to me. Don't recall ever paying with them for anything. Please abolish!

you want to see the looks i get when i get enough satangs

and i pour them on the counter

i say, "well you gave them to me"

what copper and bronze supplier is owned by a minister in the treasury/mint department?

could be the only reason they are still in circulation

  10. We travel to/from BKK from Pattaya several times a month. Mostly on weekends. Luckily, we're going TO BKK, so see the traffic mess on the other side of the road. My friend who comes here about once a month on Saturdays, says it can be a 4 hour drive if he's not on the road by 8am at the latest. Around 7am, he's here in 2 hours. I've seen 4km backups at those toll booths. Ugh.

its quite often the toll booths making the jams, from what i've seen

they have to get the auto systems in place, sooner of later, if for nothing else, to save the health of those booth operators!

And also to get into the 21st century. Australia and Singapore have had electronic toll systems in place for a number of years now and cash tolls were completely eliminated in Australia about 5-7 years ago now. Stop being "baan nok" Thailand, and get with the times. Electronic tolling is the way of the future.

yes when heading nth on the outer eastern tollway, passing some 2ks banked up trying to pay upermm.gif

i knew very well i was in for a log jam in 2 hrs when i had to returnwacko.png

it is funny cause at that point there are 2 lanes merging into 4 but you have about 8 or 9!crazy.gif

great logistics or bad maths? i dont knowblink.png

always remember tank full, bladder empty!!thumbsup.gif

  12. How can it be that billions were syphoned out from a credit union and no one knew about it

for years? were are the yearly audits of the books? where are the other people that seats

on the board of directors? are all in too?

Many questions can be asked, and there are much more than meet the eye,

the big question is, how many more similar scams are going on in Thailand

as we speak and no one is the wiser?

How many? How long is a piece of string?

I would has at a guess, just about any and all who have enough say over things has their hand in the till.

It is a sad human trait, we almost all do it in some way but in some countries they have checks and balances and occasional convictions, where as here there is next to none.

Other than one side being in power and getting a few easy pickings from the other.
