  1. We have done our shopping at Tesco for years here in Pattaya ,but to be honest the N Pattaya one especially has been going down and down ,the shelves are never full ,products are never in stock especially import stuff ,i do realize much has to come from abroad ,but they seem to order enough to last a week and then you have to wait weeks untill there is another delivery ,why not order more? and dont get me started on their fresh fruit and veg ,sorry Tesco but your off our shopping list from now on.

hi why dont you email the head office. they will hopefully use your feedback.

  2. ok tropo someone told me to have protein osolate with dextrose after training. now i ve been told this is bad as your natural growth hormone is elevated after workout and this shut it down causing a ruth of insulin. ?

  3. hey the op was assaulted there is no excuse for that. the problem is they are not educated to deal with tourists and have no idea about customer service. So many times i go out and get given the wrong drink or food there is no point complaining.

  4. The reason why I ask is my gf mum is gravely ill and no one in her family have money...

her mum lives alone and has no other family except her daughter.

    Well which one is it?

Are you saying the mother has no brothers and sisters? Yes her mother has a sister. Who is older than her mum

    Define girlfriend?

Is this a girl you pay money to each month to live with you, or a girl who has a job and pays her way? Yes this is a girl that i pay each month to live with me.

If me, give the girl 5,000 baht, thats enough for a return ticket upcountry, enough to live on for a week and money left over to contribute to a funeral.

  5. Ray35ty, your right, I have been here nearly 3 years. I do know the cost of living here. However my time here, I have always lived with my wife. I guess I posted the question for some re-assurance. I'm in a crap position really, I have invested a lot in the business here, but the relationship is very strained. I have nothing to go back to the UK too, so what do I do. I have friends and know Pattaya, which is about an hour away from where I live now. I'm not disputing 32,000 is on the lower bracket of monthly income. So I posted to see if others live on this sort of income. I know I wont be able to go out on the piss every night, or be a bit reckless with money. But in a way, maybe that's not such a bad thing.

On the plus side, my pension does increase each year, so should keep me in line with inflation. In just over 7 years I will get the government pension as well. I have the money in the bank to cover the retirement visa, which is also a safety net for a sudden emergency.

I eat Thai food all the time, so know how cheap the food side is here. I'm not a big drinker so wont be spending a lot on beer. My scooter is quite new, so shouldn't cost a lot to run, even in Pattaya. I like to keep fit, so will join a decent gym. I have friends in Pattaya I can socialize with. I'm sure I will meet new friends. I love to sit on the beach, read and belong to a few forums which seems to be an outlet for me. I don't have expensive tastes. As long as I can find a decent apartment, with wifi, cable and a swimming pool, I think I will be OK. I speak some Thai, so can sort of get through a conversation with Thai people. Not saying I'm fluent, but I know a fair bit now. Where I live there are no English speakers, apart from the wife.

So I sit here just trying to get through the next few days, living with someone who can blow up any second. Its Christmas day, but the shop is open and in a minute she will be at me to work and then the abuse will start at some point. Living my life walking on eggshells is not what I want or what I deserve. As beautiful and clever and sometimes caring as she is, she can also be a right aggressive, hot tempered and abusive woman. So as I write this where would I rather be ... Sitting in a nice apartment, maybe getting ready for a trip to the gym, or a lounge around the pool, or a ride on the scooter to the beach ... Or here !!! Not difficult is it. Its not so much about the money, although I appreciate I will have to be careful. Its about my quality of life.

Wow you seem like a really nice guy. Start making an exit plan ASAP I have alot of ways to save money and live a great life in pattaya. You can live here on 32k no problem.

  6. I dont understand you. You said you have """"""been living in Thailand nearly 3 years now """"" wouldn’t you know by now how much things costs. This question gets asked so many times its stupid. Only you can answer it.

Yes you can live on 32k but your life will be very boring and restrictive. By the time you minus /scooter/ rental./ apartment rental, air-conditioning and utilities you will be left with say 21k or less. Meaning you will only be left with 677baht a day.

So the question is can you live on that amount. ?

  7. Back, And Traps

Can you help me build these two areas? Actually i wouldnt mind getting any advice or tips.

For back I do the bent over row. Aka dorian Yates style 4 sets of 8 to 12

Then I follow up with tbar row Ronnie Coleman style 4 sets of 8 to 12. Do you recommend doing the tbar row at tony;s sports world. Manypeople have said it causes to much stress on the back it is at a weird angle.

Then I try to do pull downs and some more one arm dumbbell row.

For traps I just do trap machine at Tony’s sports world and also now I superset with upright row.

I was doing dead also like this

If you watch this video say if you don’t bring the barbell all the way down just to your crotch area and going up again will that work the back.

  8. ***BREAKING NEWS****

The ladyboy sale rep from Cali Wow now works at Central at The Skin Doctors on the 3rd floor. I had signed up just before the closure and she went to the ATM and refunded me 15000THB in cash! I didn't come right out and say it but he apologized for pocketing the money knowing long before that they gym would be closing and the refund was prompt. I suggest anyone else who has fallen victim to this same scam to go see the ladyboy there.

How did you find out that he pocketed the money? I'm sure he didn't offer this himself.

This sounds impossible. You got a 15000 baht refund from a ladyboy.... Impossible.........Im surprised if anyone would be lucky to get a 100 baht refund off them..

  10. While it is certainly possible that you are 29 years old and are retired, how do you manage to live in Thailand? What sort of Visa do you have?

Hi I applied for this Visa its fantastic they gave me it in Sydney and im aloud to stay here one year no exits or even 3 months going to immigration.

It took me six weeks to get but. You can have a read of it here. Funny thing when i arrived at the bangkok immigration the lady didnt know what it was a was very reluctant to let me stay for 1 year.

How do I manage to live in thailand ? very well, have 2 investment properties in Aus, no mortgage and live a good lifestyle here.
