Tried to use my new pink id card today at the Sattahip Naval Base to view the ship, was stopped at the entrance, the officers in charge told my wife entrance is only for Thai citizens !! They had a good look at the Id card but not good lol we left immediately. Apparently Foreign visitors require permission from Royal Thai Navy ) oh well TIT

I got it at the beginning of the month, and I am a yellow book holder, here is my id
Was called into Ban Chang district office because they were ready to issue cards. Warned me to come early as they are only allowed to issue 5 a day. I was wondering how this would be a problem as I don't think there are even 5 people with residency in Ban Chang. When I arrived I found several other foreigners there with the same purpose. They were however holders of a yellow house registration book only. Turns out that they are also eligible for a card. Quite a disappointment as I was hoping to get a card showing my hard earned residency status and was hoping it could help to be at least semi-accepted by having something that shows my "special" status.
In the end the card did not get issued anyway as there was another malfunction of the system. We will be called back in when they are ready to have another try.
Even though I don't expect the card to be of very much value I will get it anyway. I am still hoping for a surprise where I receive a card that clearly states the "permanent residence" status and does not have funny remarks relating to the Cambodians on it.
I wonder what the card for the yellow-book holders say instead of "PR holder". Do you know any of them and could obtain a copy to post here (minus the personal details)?

Hi, the lady who applies for our teaching licence submitted my third application today for a waiver. I checked this afternoon online and I just gotten my third provisional TL, good for another two years.
Since I only got my new passport this January she used that instead. By using the new passport it shows now online that I am only on my first waiver, go figure, so happy, guarantee me another 4 years.
Btw been at the same school since 2008,
Regards

Hi,
Just a quick question, recently I got my yellow book so i need to change the address on my 5 year licence (expires march 2015). My licence at the moment has my work address as that is whats in my work permit.
Is that possible to be done here in Bangkok? Thank you Walailak!!

BTW, I have never seen a waiver letter myself (my school handles the paperwork for me), but I seem to be on my third one at the same school! The only upgrade I have done was to take the Culture Course about 3 years ago.
When you applied for a teacher license or provisional teaching permit/ waiver from The Teachers' Council of Thailand, you can check the status online. Use Google Chrome to get it translated in English when needed.
I put in my passport number and full name but it dosent work; any hints? i cant read thai; thanks

First of all, you do not need a RETURN ticket.
If you arrive without a visa (and get a 30 day stamp on arrival at the airport) then you will need a return ticket.
You are fine entering with a Non-B, i have it done many times
Hope that this (what I have just said) is going to help you,
