theres only one place for food on koh chang as far am im concerned, Odies which is in that main village bit where the 7-11s are. Best steak I've ever had in thailand, always go str8 for a steak as soon as I arrive.

used to stay in the flipper lodge on soi 7? Just go there to use the pool on the roof nowdayz, which is super clean, and gets the sun all day, theres also a bar/cafe on the roof.

Friendly staff, snooker table etc, the maids will let ya stick one in em if you ask nicely. Resident hoez downstairs if yer after a bit of relif after a long flight.

From what I can remember it comes into the 1k a night category.

If ya want to make a weekend out of it, the one near trat's quite good.

I set off early friday, got to koh chang for 3pm, spent the night there, up at a reasonable time again, str8 to the boarder (about 40 mins from trat) and then back to pattaya @ 5pm, for a few nights to ram some hoez. All in all, a good weekend.

I was down cowboy last night, come 1am everywhere had to shut because of these new zoning laws. So we quickly jumped into a taxi and went to Nana to see if this was also the case there, and to my supprise everywhere was still open?

To add to the comedy there were two meat wagons in the car park full up with ladyboys they had nicked!!!! Pissed mehself and then headed str8 to nana disco to see if there was anything worth rammin in there.

To cut a long story short, I thought it was only Patpong and Petchburi that were exempt?

judging by the " Vpn Over Ipstar " post by monty it wouldnt make any diff anywayz mate, seems to be a general problem with latency when using the IPsec protocol.

Yer probably best off using a diff client by the looks of it.

which VPN client have u been using? Aint done much with VPNs but surely provided its using TCP/IP it will work.

I drove down to the cambodian boarder near trat a few weeks ago. Upon getting my visa done one of the touts said there was a nice town about 20k from the check point, I asked if it would be possible to take my car.

The answer, NO WAY..

The guy said he had never seen 1 farang take a car though the checkpoint and started wittering on about duty, etc.
