  1. If you disagree with my assertion, why don't you explain why you think Bushs' foreign policies have made the world safer?

About your assertions, you got the ass part right. Bush didn't start all this. These a-holes have been blowing up Israel and Europe long before Wcame on the scene. If you're such a fan of Osama's why don't you go help him sneak back into his own country where he's been kicked out? Or better yet, pull your head out of your butt and take a look at what's been going on.

What has Osama got to do with Bush being in Iraq?

I think the US has blown up a bit more than Osama - check your facts!

Why does Thaiquila think Bush is the bad guy? Bush didn't start it but he's trying to finish it. He had to start somewhere didn't he? It's no skin off my nose if you guys are pro Taliban and anti Bush but when the car bombs go off at your front door, who are you going to go cry to?

  3. doesn't it follow that America should now invade all countries with evil leaders?

Nobody said too much when Viet Nam invaded Cambodia. Thaiquila, why don't you enlighten us as to why you think when people are being butchered by their leaders they should not be removed? And don't start out with the U.S. wanted oil b.s.

  4. what is the polite Thai way of saying you do not agree to paying the 100,000 + gold to the parents of your intended bride? :D

Just do what I did. Tell them mai kau jai. :o

  5. Hi;

I have been told that now Americasn no longer can go around the line for entry to the embassy if they are going in for american servicies but must stand in the hot sun wiht all the other rif raf.

Better come down off your high horse. I think the altitude is starting to affect your brain.

  6. Maybe we should start a poll as to the merits of your idea and where he should go?

Iwould be willing to bet his g/f dumped him and that's why he wants to get away and isolate himself. Whatever his reason is Ithink it would be a good experience for him to come to Thailand. he sounds like he would make a good village idiot. :o

  7. While I can be very careful, i am skeptical abt their land titles & ownership document that come with it. Anyone know what kind of documents one signs & gets from the purchase of the land? Im told by a colleague that one needs to do a transfer at their provincial land office to do the title deed transfer while im told by another thai it can just be done at the presence of another third party witness.

The price is A-ok with me. Just dont wanna conned into buying something to find out later that i dont actually OWN it.

    Bankerboy

Better to have it done at land office. If 3rd party witness have village headman do. most important though is make sure the land is not SOR POR KOR.

  8. The only thing I hate about Bkk is the feeling you get as you aproach the airport for the journey home,,,,, :o

A sickening feeling right in the bottom of your guts :D

Amen to that. I know exactly what you're talking about. :D

  9. :D I wonder if anyone knows where abouts in Korat wat nong blu is & the mooban kissada gardens please?.I know they are near each other but to which town they belong i cant seem to find.Have tried a search on google,no luck.

Any help would be great :o

Im in the U.S.now but next time I talk to my wife I'll ask her.She is from that area and probably knows where these places are. Also, have you tried the TAT in Korat? They have an office there.

  10. However, I think Farangs Wai-ing just look preposterous. Just my opinion.

I'll second that. There are some local habits I have picked up but wai-ing is not one of them. I feel foolish if I even attempt to wai.

wai-ing is a show of respect. If you plan to stay in LOS for any amount of time you would do well to learn how to do it correctly. I wai my mother-inlaw everyday and all the elder people in my village when we cross paths. On the rare occasion I do meet another farang Ishake hands or nod my head as an aknowledgement.

  11. I guess I should consider myself lucky compared to some of the stories Iv'e seen and heard. Imet an up country girl that doesn't smoke nor drinks. After 1 & 1/2 years we got married. turned out to be one of the better decisions I ever made. she's a very good mother to our 2 children and an excellent wife. plus, she's not stupid with money. my wife never worked in a bar but from what I've heard, once a bar girl, always a bar girl. beware!

  12. I have no sympathy for for these two at all. It's very disrepectful to come to Thailand as a guest and break the law by commiting a serious crime. Also, they should have thought of their children before they did this. I say, let them serve their entire sentance in the Bkk Hilton. Thailand's drug problem is bad enough without help from farangs. maybe that will deter other people from coming here with the intent to sell poison.

  13. I live in a rural area with no hardwire phone service and cel phone service is poor. Im looking for a place that sells wireless devices for notebooks that will enable me to connect to the internet. I have been to several stores in Bangkok and Korat with discouraging results. Does anybody sell air cards or cel phones that can be hooked up to computers? Any help will be greatly appreciated. [email protected]
