Does anyone know where the Thai's go to dance the night away? Put it this way, if there are more than 2 foreigners inside, then you've got the wrong place. I'm not talking about Sukhumvit or Silom. I want to find a place where the Thai middle class will go to hear a Thai band play Thai music for an older crowd. Does such a place exist? Even in my home country, these places marketed for the 30+ middle class are rare. I'm not talking about restaurants, or sit down dinner pubs. I'm talking about dance venues where people mingle and meet others singles of like minds.

Well if I tell you where I go that will make two of us and therefore won't qualify for being the right place.

I suggest your try Ubon Rachatananai, guaranteed to only find Thais listening to that crap they play on UBC Channel 25 or something.

that made me laugh,

went to central world bangkok few days before,a huge building with big walking area,big show rooms,

but very few people there,the mall was dead,all the shops were empty,nobody shoping,even food court was empty.........i wonder how shops can survive with all those monthly fix expences.

is there somthing wrong with the mall?

Why do Thais eat so much Thai food? I mean, people back home don't eat this much Thai food! Someone please help me answer this fascinating question.

Over the years living in Thailand I've noticed more and more the amount of gossiping that occurrs amongst Thai people, normally between members of the female gender and usually those of an advanced age. There is nothing it seems that delights some of these people more than to spread rumours which can cause harm in the shape of family break-ups, loss of employment etc

I do realise that Thai Visa is basically a website where mostly Farang people gossip with each other about the country, but nobody for the most part knows who each other is, so no real harm done. But it seems that Thai people gossip much more than people back in my home country do. They seem to gossip with the intent purpose to lower each others social standing and by default hightening their own.

To Thais gossip alot? Or is just me? Lets gossip about gossiping!

OH YES they gossip a lot, its not just you,they will talk non stop with their so called phi-elder sister,younger sister,sister selling noodles,sister in bank etc etc.....sisters everywhere...............if you have noticed they also talk nonstop wth taxi driver,and before the destination the driver and pessenger will know everything about eachother.

and i wonder how the bike men knows my name and age,

must be my gossiping thai staff????????

i met a guy who cliamed to be very famous writer from england and he is working with royal family and guiding them for politics.

i think you should contact government,as i noticed some of them have license number written on stall,however priorety goes to physicaly challenged people(like deff and dum you must have seen them on stalls)

i have also done it few times,when i was very new to thailand,but now i think how stupid i was to throw money,

never visit a tailor shop,or jewellery factory with tuk tuk driver

yes even i was facing the same problem,thais can never be on time,they will always find some sister or some food stall on the way to work,its very sab bai-sab bi thing for them,

tell them salary cut for half day if late more than 20 mins,or if you are late 1 hour you have to sit more 1 hour in evening.

they can't afford to lose money,or go late specialy when their sisters are waiting,

i think this will do the trick,
