Not enough passengers ?
At the prices TG are quoting I am not surprised there are too few passengers on this route.

I have a great recipe from Sri Lanka for Cashew Nut Curry. I can find all the necessary spices etc, but does anyone know where I can purchase fresh cashew nuts, not roasted or salted,in Bangkok ?
Thanks

Hope you hold luggage makes onto the same flight too !

Robin Hood corner of Suk 33/1 is advertising the fight this week, should be a good crowd there

Hell hath no Fury like a Thai Girl scorned..........etc etc.
Not a lot to do about it now, seems too late and the risks were taken.
Just keep the head down, be more discrete in future, take precautions and so on.
FWIW the chances of her 'splitting' on you are slight, unless you did something to really p!ss her off, and if you did I am sure she would have done something straight away, not wait till your renewal.
Good Luck Mate

if you have room for an entry stamp in HK, surely you must have a space for the visa extension stamp ?

Why is it illegal to watch in Thailand. I thought the idea of satellite TV was to give more people access to the real truth. When the coup against Taksin took all BBC and CNN of the Thai TV satellite, I was still able to access by my dish for Australian TV and passed on information to family and friends. If it was not for satellite TV, the people of such oppressed countries as Burma would not have access to the real news.

The names of the new stations can be seen on the route boards in the new trains on Silom line.
I was expecting the old three carriage trains to be deployed on Sukhumvit line to increase the frequency and thereby reduce congestion when the extension is ever opened

Just looked at a flight from BKK to SIN and return next week, at the start the prices looked lower than TG, but when you add on the 'extras', baggage in the hold, seat selection, meals each way, the cost is 14,500THB compared to 13,000 with TG.

I had similar fault with my Samsung LCD when a Jing Jok crawled in the back and shorted out the power supply.
My local TV repair shophouse was able to repair for a quarter of the price quoted by the Samsung repair agents. They can usually find the parts needed whatever the brand

I am not advocating that people should behave illegally and overstay, although for three days this is a cheaper and less time consuming option, but why do we frighten people about being stropped by the police and locked up for an overstay.
I have lived here for nearly sixteen years and have NEVER been asked to show my passport, indeed I keep it locked up in my safe in Roi-Et home, even when I am in Bangkok.

I watched Robert Amsterdam's video speech to the red shirts on Sunday night, very inflammatory.
Thai democracy will be better if misguided foreigners keep their thoughts to themselves and not try to brainwash the populous in the same way as the well known ex prime minister is doing.

Rajawongse Tailors, next to landmark hotel on Sukhumvit, I have used them for fifteen years. he also does all the visiting US Presidents and VIPs
You can order from the internet after he has your measurements and will ship worldwide

I regularly fly with a laptop and my Ipad and never had any issues, just pull them out of the bag for scanning, much safer than putting in checked bags

The Monora dinner cruise on the converted rice barge is the best IMHO.
I have used it many times for business and personal dinners, and find the service and atmosphere very good.
Well worth paying a few baht more and having a relaxed dinner server to your table, than the pushing and shoving on some of the other cruise ships,

The rules clearly state you must be 50 for a retirement visa, if younger look at other methods.
Why do people think there is a way around the rules ?
-
For a credit card issued by a Thai bank, the regulations state that the account holder must have a work permit, obviously not available on a retirement visa.
The alternative is to deposit an amount with the bank which is fixed and this covers the credit limit in case of default.
No problem with using foreign credit cards as far as security involved, I have been doing this in many bars, shops etc for 16 years with no problems.
Only time my card was cloned was in a department store in Japan !

Cutting the electricity supply to a correctly installed sprinkler system should have no effect The sprinkler system should have reserve tanks ( not fed directly from the mains supply ) sufficient to keep the system running for at least 30 minutes, and the pump should be diesel powered, not dependent upon mains electricity. Unfortunately, in the LOS too many people cut costs and pay dearly in the long run.

Had this happened in that other well known resort beginning with P.......... I am sue the police would have concluded that it was a case of suicide, and someone stole the gun.

It is OK giving the wife an ATM card to access the funds, but what happens when the card is retained or needs renewing. She wont be able to draw any more funds

Signing a multiple years lease and lump sum payment can bring the cost down, but you can also use it as a lever if there are 'extras', like an oven, which may not be included, or cable rental etc.

There was some barbers along Suksawat Road a few years ago, but not sure if they are still there, was about 60THB as I recall.

one week is enough for a suit and shirts, usually two or three visits, but worth getting the finish right.

I have used Rajawongse for 16 years and very satisfied with their shirts and suits.
After they have your measurements you can even order on line and they will post anywhere worldwide.
Business Visa For India
in Visas and migration to other countries
Posted
Has anyone here have experience of applying and being granted a multiple entry business visa for India, without having a work permit issued in Thailand.
I am currently holding a retirement visa and extension of stay for four years and am going to be applying next week.
I know that the Pakistan Embassy in Bangkok will not issue a visa for business without a work permit, but I have applied at the embassy in Cambodia and had no problems in the past,
Thanks
