whilst bipolars are common in my village, OCDs are equally common.

After reading all these comments, plus the MSM I have come to realise that although my passport says I am a citizen of the UK, the UK I was born into 85 years ago is so different from the present that it is no longer really relevant to me, I am just a disinterested but mildly interested spectator.

If you can make sense of Thai translated by Google I am well impressed.

If they transferred the money presumably they used a credit card, these are the people they should now contact.

I object, without forewarning how can I create a plausible packet of lies and bribe people to support them.

If I remember correctly it was because the American couple were prosecuted in the States and that opened a can of worms the Thai govt could not afford to ignore.

As there are probably a few million already in circulation in Thailand this measure seems rather belated.

You cab buy time instead of talk time, you just have to ring them up, I only use mine for bank OTP and Lazada. I use my house phone if I want to make a call, it means they can't store my number unless I tell them.

May I pick your activated brains please?
I have retired in Thailand, and getting away from phones was a great relief, so I do not have any form of telephone.
Nor do I really want one ????
However, with the gradual introduction of TFA and OTP, to access my various internet accounts, I'm being "forced" to consider buying a mobile, simply to continue accessing my online financial accounts.
Here's my intended use:
1) One voice phone call a year... maybe two voice calls total, per annum.
2) Just 3 or 4 times a year I will need to confirm my ID by TFA.
I do not need a phone for anything else, so would like to get the very minimum device, and voice/data that I need.
It would obviously be wasteful to get a contract plan with a telephone company for such minimal usage.
My friends are paying 500 baht a month to keep their smartphones functional!
That's way more than I wish to spend.
What would you recommend as the most basic phone device, and phone access that will accomplish this?
Btw. My workhorse notebook is a 2015 Macbook Air on ElCapitan.
Thanks,
Colin

Is a Thai entering Thailand illegal, or is the offence avoiding quarantine?

This is just one of the many perks that ambassadors and their staff and families enjoy, so remote from us plebs who pay their salaries, relocation costs medical expenses and pensions.

Having had dealings in the past with British embassies in Budapest, Beijing, Manila and Kuala Lumpur I decided they are a waste of time, so I have avoided all contact with the embassy in Bangkok.

Yes the buses would lean over 29 degrees before tipping over, if not they failed the test.
I used to watch them doing this at Barking bus garage testing station, the seats were loaded with sandbags to simulate passengers.

'' the tradition of making jokes on April 1st was not part of Thai culture.'' Neither is Christmas, Valentine's day or Halloween, but all are actively supported because they are big money earners for shops and stores. There is little profit in jokes.
